Amazing hotel with amazing views. You can swim towards the famous castel. Or you can just sunbath and look at it from a very near distance. This hotel is top notch. I treated myself to their ayurvedic massage one day and then a romantic rooftop dinner the evening prior. The spa also has some nice thermal baths (typical of that area) for you to enjoy if you'd rather not swim in the small outdoor pool. The staff were beyond friendly. One night I stayed to have an after dinner drink while the pianoman serenaded a couple and I into the wee hours of the morning. One of the cutest memories of my trip. I highly recommend this place AND this part of Ischia.
How disappointed I was to arrive at this hotel to find that it was not the 5 star luxury hotel I expected. This is a 3 star hotel at best. The pool and hot tub were both dirty. The water in the hot tub on the 4th floor and in the outside were both freezing which was disappointing. The rooms were quite basic- nothing to write home about. Breakfast was abysmal-bland and uninspired. Staff kept looking at my partner and I and whispering to themselves which made us rather uncomfortable. Overall I would rate this hotel 2 stars, probably 4 on a good day.
Wow. I can’t speak highly enough of this hotel. The staff is all wonderful and inviting. Now the views. They are unbeatable. Even from inside, they’re stunning. The pool area is great for relaxing and having a drink with a great view of Castello Aragonese. The rooftop gives you a wonderful view over the island. The spa is very relaxing. Perfect during that 4pm-7pm time when most everything is closed. The rooms are a comfortable size, with a nice attention to detail. The balcony is a added bonus! The staff even had a bottle of prosecco waiting for us (a small honeymoon gift) which was much appreciated. This hotel makes me never want to leave the island. Definitely stay here on your visit to Ischia, you won’t regret it!
This is certainly not a five-star hotel, however they advertise themselves. The staff was friendly enough, but they had a weird prohibition against any outside food or drink, claiming it was to make sure the rooms didn't get stained. They had no problem selling us wine to bring to our room though. I'm fairly sure they weren't purchasing some new type of red wine that magically doesn't stain. The facilities are nice but old and dirty in some places. The bathroom in our room was something you'd expect in a cheap motel, not a nice hotel. The deck, on the other hand, was spectacular with an incredible view of the castle across the water. Unfortunately, however, our room was right under where they had a guy playing a piano + synthesizer and singing through a mic+PA until midnight. Not a huge deal, but sleeping wasn't going to happen until he stopped.
First time at the Miramare hotel and will not be the last. Perfect location between 2 main areas of shops and restaurants. Overlooking the Aragon castle of ischia, staff that are great and good breakfast on on the beach. What more could you ask for! Only one slight downside is the size of the rooms, but that would not stop us returning to this great hotel.
Location is key here! Rooms are nice, but quite old,The hair dryer needs to be updated for sure. The mattress needs an update too. But I would still stay here again. The staff was wonderful,The location on the beach & to shop & go to the Castle,it's all in walking distance! Love this area & the people. Even our Cab driver Guissepi, He was wonderful & knew the Island & it's history!! The bakery items at breakfast were also fabulous!!
We spent 4 nights here with our 2 young children from August 21-25, 2017 and it was incredible in every way. We had 2 adjoining rooms for which there was an outside door, thus closing it off as a suite. We had a corner room with a sea view connecting with a room on the side of the building, but even the side room offered a great view of the sea and Castello Aragonese. The views in the public spaces in the lobby are jaw dropping - almost too good to be true. The decor of the hotel against the backdrop of the sea - especially the breathtakingly balmy blue and white dining area. The entire staff was so friendly, the breakfast was lovely and we have already booked another stay, we enjoyed ourselves so much!
We had booked a room with a balcony that looked out towards the castle. The room was great, the staff incredible and the food very good, the nightly live piano entertainment made having a night cap after dinner a must! The staff were very attentive - with ladies getting a flower with their coffee cup every morning. Service around the beach and pool was excellent and the facilities were amazing. The spa was adequate and the massages were good. The hotel offer a gym ... But this is a bit of an exaggeration- a few bikes, kettle weights and a trex system in a roof terrace is a bit light! Great location and we enjoyed our stay.
Fabulous 3 nights in Ischia....great views from the shower, beautiful venue on the rooftop for sunning and dinner, wonderful live music after dinner and very well located right on the sea....will return!!
Fifth year running and it's just great to be back. Someone said welcome home and that sums up how we all feel in our family from our thirteen year old to our twenties sons and us. Classic Italian elegance. It's not glitzy so don't expect that. Beautiful rooms overlooking the sea. Private small beach and pontoon for swimming in a fresh clean sea. Service with a smile wherever you go. I could mention the wonderful service in reception but the same applies to the bar and restaurant and pool area and bedrooms. I just love the dinner sitting on the seafront with beautiful food and great service. Ischia is very crowded in the day but at night you have a transformation to a tranquil setting on the sea and views of the castle. Time for a game of cards and piano music in the bar and a good night's sleep. Thanks again until next year.
