We were here for a week at the beginning of August and miss it already. Great views, great pool and very attentive staff. The hotel is a little tired in places (our room needed some updates, although we didn't raise this) but this did not spoil a great holiday. Would definitely go back
I found myself well both as a staff and the room the view is great I return, to do the thermal waters, I chose Hotel Spa to relax free from the technology as a hotel you can only have water detoxify me we smoog
This was a really nice hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful, The location was perfect with fantastic views from the pool and room. The hotel is perfect location from Ischia Port -short walk down cobbled path or the very regular bus into to port or surrounding areas. We had a very spacious room with private balcony and great views, we will definitely be planning a return visit
This was a really nice hotel, comfortable and with great views over the Bay of Naples towards Vesuvius. We had a very private balcony with table and chairs. The room and bathroom were very clean, the maid came daily. The bed was comfortable. We had half board and dinners were varied but ok. The bar staff, brother and sister, were lovely and very helpful, along with most of reception staff. The pool was really nice and surprisingly warm and the spa pool....when you got used to the heat, was so relaxing. This hotel is about 1 kilometre from the town if you'd rather eat out in the evenings, there are loads of restaurants to choose from, it's downhill there but the buses stop outside the hotel and they're really cheap if you don't want to walk back up. Unless you're flush, don't get a taxi, it'll cost you €15. We actually used Citalia to book this holiday, so much easier to get them to do it all with the transfers etc.
The view and the location of the hotel are amazing. The rooms are old fashioned, the bathrooms are clean but the hair drier and the shower curtain did not work... the air conditioner did not work fine as well, the wifi was really poor :( we had a lot of ant in the bathroom :( the dinner was under expectation as well... you must be careful as they charge you things that you did not use or consume (they cheated us with one extra lunch for 40€). The gym is awful... so i suggest you to book another hotel if you would like to visit Ischia!
This was supposed to be the highlight of a family "holiday of a lifetime" but was extremely disappointing. The room we were first shown had broken air-conditioning and was beside a noisy generator and the alternative was tiny with no shutter on the main window and no curtain initially. It smelt very musty as if it had not been used for a long time (in fact the staff member who showed us it couldn't find it for a while!) The hotel was extremely expensive but was very average. They added lots of extra costs which other hotels would have included - for example compulsory swimming hats and towels. The staff were not at all friendly or helpful (aside from guy behind bar) and didn't explain anything or suggest any trips or tips. The hotel was supposed to be a ten minute walk from the port but it was a steep climb with no pavements so we had to keep crossing a very busy road to get there. The hotel shuttle bus was very infrequent so we had to pay to use very crowded public buses to get around the island. We thought there was a private beach with loungers and umbrellas but after over 200 steps found there was just a wooden platform with six plastic loungers on it (only one not occupied!) and a very sharp stony "beach". Breakfast was OK. For such an astronomically expensive experience it was definitely not a 4* hotel and the prices for drinks and unexpected taxes were exorbitant. All the other hotels on our trip were a joy and seemed to care for guests but I got the impression this place is geared for big groups and tour operators and doesn't bother with individuals who book.
We recently stayed at this hotel. First the good news: great views, very clean and lovely plants. Now the bad news: many steps some with no hand rails. The bedroom was very hot - well into the 80's and when complaining we were told that they did not switch on the air con until June. We only had one small set of doors in the room and could not leave these open nor the outer louvre doors (these were none adjustable and useless) because 1M away at right angles was another door onto the terrace. There were also quite a few other rooms that led onto the said terrace. We phone Voyage Prive the following day to try to sort out the problem. Breakfast Day 1 was an experience! - tinned fruit, loads of cake, children's breakfast cereal, yogurt, salami, two processed cheeses in slices and look warm scrambled egg and bacon and this was at 7.30 at the beginning of breakfast.. There was a little more at weekend - ricotta cheese! One of our cups was stained with coffee and the replacement cup was almost thrown into the saucer. The jug of orange juice which was not fresh had started to ferment and was fizzy. The little pots of plants were dead on most tables but by Day 5 they had disappeared. Most Staff could do with smiling more and looking as though they were enjoying their jobs which would give a better impression. Elsewhere in the Island people were absolutely delightful and friendly. We know that Voyage Prive contacted the Hotel after our call - the receptionist indicated that he knew we had made a complaint and he said that something would be done because an engineer had been called. Unfortunately nothing was done, no air con or fans. Did they think we were stupid. After complaining we were looked upon with disdain. The Hotel is on a very steep main road out of the port of Ischia and unless very fit don't try walking back. The road is extremely busy and you have to be very careful when crossing the road. We travel quite extensively and in our opinion this is the worst hotel we have encountered- very dated, painted old furniture in the bedroom, nowhere to hang dresses except on the outside, an old writing desk, no pens, paper etc. Only four small bottles of water in the mini fridge, no iron, no tea making facilities. The place was decorated like an old Victorian hospital. We just slept at the Hotel and visited many good restaurants in the town. Voyage Prive really need to look at this hotel because it is certainly not a 4 star, far from it.
I am currently staying at this hotel. It's location is superb but the management of this place is appalling. The breakfast is a typical example: there is no fresh fruit. The fruit selection this morning was tinned pineapple and tinned peaches. This is on an island where ripe fruit literally hangs from the trees, including in the hotel grounds. The coffee is like dishwater. The food is something like you would get in Outer Mongolia, not Southern Italy. The attitude of the management is petty and mean-spirited. I shall be reporting my findings to Voyage Privé, who I booked this through, and suggesting that they no longer offer Le Querce.
Truly beautiful location, decent staff, a nice pool and clean, quiet rooms. Areas of the hotel look a bit dated - very mid-90s trendy - but the building is well maintained. The food is astronomically expensive, but there is a free shuttle that takes you into town so you can eat there. The town is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel but because the roads are curvy and people drive crazy, I wouldn't recommend to do that at night. We usually took the shuttle into town for dinner, and took a taxi home at night (about 15E)
This hotel is nothing short of stunning. Beautifully decorated, multiple levels (which gives it a wonderful intimate atmosphere) and very Italian. The thermal spa waters make both indoor and outdoor pools warm, which was a real tonic (no jumping into icy waters!). My wife, myself and 5yr old son were made to feel really welcome. Everything we asked for was provided, and we had the holiday we dreamt of - warm, sunny and relaxing. Food and drink was excellent and reasonably priced for a high quality hotel. The waiting staff had only a moderate understanding of English, but it wasn't too much of a problem. I would like to have seen a slightly more extensive menu to appeal to children's appetites. One of the waiters (Max) was notably very helpful, and his smile and willingness to help made all the language barriers trivial. I am rarely effusive in my praise, but I cannot think of anything which would have made our holiday better. We can't wait to return to Le Querce - why go anywhere else when you've discovered heaven?
