Great location to everything in Inverness. Hotel was comfortable with typical small European rooms. Beds was comfortable and they had a nice breakfast. The staff was very pleasant and they really help with directions.

We were coming from England so after a long road the hotel is ideally situated on your way to the beautiful Highlands. Hotel is very clean, so are the bedroom. Nice bedding, decent breakfast, calm area, and free parking lot + wifi. There is a good restaurant on the other side of the parking lot (Inn) and a Tesco + gas station on the side of the parking lot as well.

Breakfast was available from 6.30 - 10.30 and a good choice was available. Last morning we slept in and didn't arrive for breakfast until 9.30 - pleased to say all was still available. Tables were quickly emptied and cleaned once guests had departed and no-one rushed us. Our room was superb, lovely comfy bed with great ensuite. All staff were very friendly and approachable. Plenty of parking available with a good choide of food outlets within walking distance. Great value for money

We chose the HIExpress because I am disabled and when we get to our destination we like to relax with a nice meal and a drink and having used HIExpress at Glasgow airport, we knew we would get this. There was a card in the room that said there was chilli and curry available. However, ..even though the chillis and curries were on display (some people already eating them) we were told we could not have them. Being too tired to leave the premises for something to eat..we reluctantly ordered a pizza (pizza of choice was not available) so nachos and burnt pizza it was! VERY disappointed!! Day 2 we used a restaurant across the road. When we asked a member of HIE staff for an explanation as to why we could not eat the food that was available to others, we were told "I don't know'

Stayed for one night, bed was comfy and room clean. Choice of pillows on bed. Only issue I had was that the cleaner had left the dirty sheet in the middle of the floor. Once I told reception it was picked up right away, so no big deal, mistakes happen. I definitely would stay here again.

Stayed for 2 nights and everything was fine. The bathroom was in need of a bit of an overhaul and the heating didn't seem to be working . There was a heater in the room which was fine but did meaning plugging it in etc. Breakfast was the usual Holiday Inn Express one although no bananas. We stayed using points which was nice as the prices did seem to be expensive. We actually walked into Inverness but it is a long walk. You can get buses at the retail park next door. Plenty of parking. Was disappointed the ice machine had been done away with but the bar did provide some. Would stay again.

Spent two nights at the Holiday Inn Express in Inverness. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. They had a good variety at breakfast and some great options for food to order in the evening. The Snow Goose next door is super cute. Would stay here again.

We stayed for 3 nights, can’t complain about the location. The snow goose next door great for a good meal. Tesco and shops an easy walk from the hotel. Plenty of parking which is why we chose this hotel. We stayed at the same chain in Edinburgh and it was much better, clean and the daily service of the room was excellent. Inverness however is tired. The pillows were hard. The daily service of the room was a little disappointing as the beds were not touched. We had pulled the bedclothes up prior to leaving the room and they hadn’t been touched. But the biggest issue was the shower, there was a funky smell coming from the plumbing but the shower did not drain properly and whilst having a shower your standing in a few cms of water. After turning off the shower it took a few minutes to drain. We reported it and was told that yes the drainage was slow. Nothing was done to it. We also had a hotel card sitting in the slot in the room upon our return to the room late afternoon. We took it to the desk only to be told it wasn’t even one of the hotels cards, we explained we didn’t put it there, it wasn’t ours. So he just said ok he’ll look into it but we didn’t hear anymore about it. Breakfast was ok, only scrambled eggs, it would be nice to have a choice. However there was plenty of food available. Room service or meals/snacks available from the bar needs to be updated, it’s a little limited. The snacks selection of cool drinks, sweets and a microwave is a great idea.

We chose this hotel because we were travelling around Scotland with a car and needed somewhere to stay with free parking. The holiday Inn Express does have the free car parking which is a bonus. This particular hotel though is a little tired with small beds and not a great breakfast (which was also free). There is no guest laundry and I wouldn't stay here if I didn't have a car.

Clean comfortable beds, hot water and a hearty warm breakfast; what more do you need? This hotel is well located close to pubs, filling station and convenience shops. Close to a busy road so the back rooms are more quiet.
