Traditional hotel but great breakfast

The Neue Post is a traditional hotel in the centre of Innsbruck. Booked a single room which is just that, a single bed in a small-ish room. Everything functions well, though nothing is particularly outstanding or memorable. Was not given a wifi code but didn't need it anyway. There's no air-con. Breakfast is fantastic though!

Excellent location

Close to centre of Innsbruck. Not really a 4 star hotel more like a 3 star. Breakfast disappointing. Couldn’t fault cleanliness of hotel.

Poorly maintained hotel

Front desk did not know of our Expedia booking until showed our confirmation for a superior room. Later a different clerk assigned us a dark, small room with damaged/dirty bath floor. Next day we were moved to a superior room, but the telephone and one of the few electrical outlets did not work and neither could not be repaired until after we checked out two days later. Some additional problems communicating with front desk. At checkout we were told that our credit card would be charged. Only after much argument did the clerk agreed that we had prepaid Expedia. We have stayed in much better 3 star hotels. In contrast, the breakfast was excellent and served in a beautiful room. Not surprising, many bulbs in the large chandeliers were burned out.

I loved everything about this hotel! The staff were friendly and super helpful with all my questions. My wife agrees and we decided we have to leave a good review on here because it was the reviews we read that helped make our decision to stay here in the first place. We will be back! Good location but 2.5 star room

The Hotel Neue Post is a very well located hotel. It was extremely easy to find (10 mins away from the Main train station). Check-in is at 3, but they were happy to hold luggage earlier. Breakfast was nice. The room was small but usable. The finishes should be replaced/updated though. The carpet was very old, and the furnishings were very outdated. It was NOT 4 star standards, but the location made up for what the hotel lacked. Innsbruck is very expensive so this hotel was doable pricewise. But the shower was terrible (went hot to cold quickly) the hallway was noisy, and the room needed lots of cosmetic help. I would recommend for location alone.

We have used this hotel for years, the staff are always friendly and helpful. Location is great for getting into the main shopping area and is walking distance from the main station.

When we travel, we try not to set our expectations too high. But we do look forward to air conditioning and reasonably good internet. Our room had an air conditioning control, but I couldn't get it to work. When I called the front desk I found out the whole hotel no longer has AC. Our room faced the afternoon sun and was stifling hot. They also have internet codes good for either one day or seven days. We stayed for three days and had to get a new code every day. It was also very clunky to use compared to most of the other hotels we stayed at on this trip. (I should say that after complaining, I got a seven day code - but only on our last day.)

Nie Hotel in City Center

My brother and I made this hotel a last minute booking. It was a fair price and checked off the most important box on my list, which was a central location. It was walking distance to everything in the city center. The lady at the front desk was also very friendly, spoke English well, and was also helpful suggesting things to do.

Good hotel, good location

Clean and tidy, good breakfast selection. Located 15 minutes from the station and on most bus routes. Not all rooms are air conditioned, thankfully ours was, as Austria are having a heatwave. Safe and fridge in room.

Innsbruck stay.

We had a two day stay. The hotel is an easy walk to the old city and has plenty of nearby parking. The rooms are not air conditioned so on warm days, street noise may be an issue as Maximillian street is trafficked in the early morning an late evening. Breakfast was a typical continental breakfast with good variety. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beds are firm, for some this is comfortable for others it is hard.

Nice hotel just out of the old city center

The location and the room itself were great. There is not A/C in most of the rooms (if you think you'll need it, call ahead to request one with A/C) and fans are not provided in the room. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating, but the staff in the breakfast room were the least friendly that we encountered in our 3 weeks in German, Austrian, and Italian hotel stays. The breakfast itself was sufficient but not amazing.
