This is our third student trip to Innsbruck and Hotel Alpin Park's reception is fantastic! The receptionist was very supportive as one of our students lost his travel documents and she went out of her way to provide information that helped us figure out what to do and who to contact. They even provided a 'breakfast to go' as we had an early morning train the next day. After a long day the kids actually wanted to go back to the hotel to eat dinner. Again the service and accommodation were great. Bravo!
Stayed in this hotel 2 nights in mid March, with a colleague on a twin share basis. My colleague jumped into bed and then screamed out...the bed was full of dry human faeces, absolutely horrendous....the bed was configured as though it was cleaned and made ready. The stink and shock was awful. How on earth could cleaning staff have missed that ? We rang the desk and the guy came up with clean sheets, but we had to remake the bed. The mattress was still okay, but what he heck is going on with the cleaning and management of this place ? Their response was almost like it was an everyday occurrence. Avoid like the plague !! They don't deserve your money.
Excellent hotel. High quality. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. An excellent atmosphere in the bar in the evening. Good quality food. Conveniently located in Innsbruck with a 15 minute walk into the main city centre. Very comfortable room. The only thing that let the hotel down was no kettle in the room to make a coffee or tea. Tip: Ask for extra pillows as the one on the bed is rather thin. Would definitely stay there again.
We have stayed here twice now two years running whilst snowboarding in innsbruck and I would stay in this hotel again. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and even allowed us to check in early as we arrived a few hours before check in time as we travelled down from Northern Germany. This hotel is great for skiing/snowboarding as there is a shuttle bus to the slopes plus you are within walking distance to the train station where the buses run all day to the slopes. The location is great you can easily walk to the city centre which we did each night for our evening meals. The breakfast buffet is excellent and I looked forward to it every day however when it comes to facilities the room is lacking. For a four star hotel I would expect tea/coffee making facilities but unfortunately there are none. Also the wifi is shockingly bad. We have stayed on the 1st and 2nd floor and we thought that the 1st floor might be better this year but it really wasn't. This is NOT a hotel for a business person relying on a good internet connection. We never tried out the sauna so I can't comment on that. Overall the hotel is OK but with a better wifi connection and some more room facilities it could be a great hotel.
We stayed in hotel for 3 nights in skiing holiday. Basic hotel with nice rooms. We enjoyed sauna and hot tab every day after skiing. Smoking in the lobby bar was not nice, but non smokers have own private space. I believe this is common rule in Austria. Parking area is quite small. We had van and it was too big. Breakfast was tasty and with good variety.
We stayed for four nights on a skiing holiday. I was expecting more from the hotel. The rooms were good but the stay was tainted by a mess in our room when we checked in. There were used cotton tips and a half drunken bottle of red wine on the night stand. This made me question the cleanliness of the entire room. Breakfast was Ok but the space was small and awkward. Most mornings we had trouble finding a seat. On Saturday morning there were people smoking at the bar which meant we could smell smoke in the breakfast area although this is quite common in Austria. The location is not fantastic but we knew that before booking. Overall, it was an ok stay. Nothing great with a few issues.
I was in Innsbruck because a medical visit. It was fine although it snowed and it was cold. There was too much snow and therefore I had to to go back home early. I did not visit much. I would like to go to Innsbruck again and do more things. The hotel was Ok and clean.
Stayed here with my partner, hotel was a little run down inside could do with an update. Bed was two singles pushed together which was awkward with the gap in the middle, room was warm and bathroom good. Didn't use the spa area, but the hotel could of offered more facilities especially with it being a 4 star hotel such as basic things like tea and coffee making facilities in the room, which you would expect from a 4 star especially in the UK. The room was quite dated inside. This didn't matter to much to us as we rarely spent any time in the room other to wash and sleep but it is expensive for what you pay for. Breakfast was included in our stay and was amazing, it was a help yourself buffet offering cold and hot food. There was free coffee, tea and juice drinks as well as fruit and yoghurt. They also offered a free bus service to ski resorts and you can leave your rental ski gear in a room in the hotel where it is safe. Staff were friendly and we stayed an extra night.
Positive: got first a room that had wet floor, reason for this was broken badroom and we were moved to upper floor to better room. Negative: smoky hotel with worn overall appearence. Thought rooms were better than front desk.
An average hotel, good for short stays. No Air Conditioning but there was a huge fan, fortunately it was cold enough, though it was summer. Breakfast was very good, staff very courteous & helpful. The scenery from out side the hotel was fantastic.Fabulous for photographs.
