Very nice and friendly hotel. Nothing bad to say. The best thing: •Stubai-card, •The e-bikes and the spa-area. Nice services and very helpfully. With the stubai-card you can easily go everywhere in Stubaital. The food is outstanding👍 and you will not be hungry. Very clean and fresh☺️! Love this place!💕 I’ll really recommend it!
Stayed here two years ago when I rated the hotel 4 stars. This year I rate it 5 stars. The reasons include : Food. The breakfast arrangement now includes a large range of cooked food to order plus a very wide variety of other choices including fruit. Evening meals were of a very high standard. Afternoon refreshments were ample. There was more food than a person could eat. Rooms were clean and with excellent standards of towels, together with bath towels etc for the swimming pools. The pools were very clean and there are a full range of other spa type facilities on offer. The location is very good. It is away from the main road and quiet yet close to the small town, bus stops, Elfer lift etc All the hotel staff were helpful, friendly and efficient with particular note being made of the first rate dining staff - David you were very helpful - and are a credit to the hotel. The location of this hotel in the Stubai Valley adding as before to make the visit excellent. Note the steps to the front door are not easy to navigate with a heavy case.
Have stayed here many times and it is always impressive. The whole team are excellent. The superb quality of the meals has been stepped up again this year; don't know how they do it! Especially appreciated the catering staff's attention to diet restrictions - never get the chance to tell them personally so doing it here!
We stayed for a week at the Bergjuwel Hotel but ate our evening meals in the Bergkonig restaurant. This was very good, the food was well prepared and well presented and the waiting staff pleasant and professional.
We stayed in August for 3 weeks in this hotel. It was our second visit to Neustift area and we have been nicely impressed by the hotel. 1. Location is perfect since the hotels sits close to Neustift center and one of the local lifts (Elfer). If you wish to explore the valley the bus stop is quite close but hotel is in the rear off the main street. So the street noise is muted. 2. Special thanks to the hotel staff from receptionists to waiters and cleaning ladies that made our stay as pleasant as we wished it to be. 3. You could meet the owner of the hotel each and every day and she is successful in building up the team in the hotel that caters all your needs at the utmost level. At the very end of our stay she personally drove us back to the airport in Innsbruck to our flight. 4. We stayed with our grandson who has allergy and hotel chef and his team has made every effort to cater grandson’s special diet needs at breakfast, lunch and dinner. 5. The food is great and every dish is served as piece of art. 6. Hotel’s two swimming pools are of very good quality and nice addition for your stay offering relaxation after long hiking trails. Overall we enjoyed the stay in Activehotel Bergkonig very much and will plan to come there again.
Great to be back at the Bergkonig ! It’s just far enough off the main roads to be quiet - but still only a few mins walk to everything. Hotel staff are very friendly, and the rooms of good size - and well appointed. Food quality and variety are excellent - so make sure you’re out walking to burn off those calories !!
Beautiful location and excellent hotel. Room very very good and staff superb. This property is immaculate Food is served in 5 courses and at the start of the meal there is a buffet salad. The meals are traditionally Austrian (European) and the food is of a high standard although some may struggle with the choices (i.e. Veal, Trout, food in butter or cheese sauce). Hotel facilities are very good. The hotel has a fantastic indoor pool and spa, and the outdoor pool is a godsend when the weather is hot. Neither pool is really suitable for swimming but great for relaxation. The staff were very very good and nothing was too much trouble. The property is immaculate.
We spent the last week of June at this hotel as a base for a walking holiday (not organised, just us) in and above the Stubai Valley. It is located just a 5 minute walk from the village and very close to the cable car and local bus services (only 15 minutes to a Wild Water walk of spectacular waterfalls). We chose it primarily for the possibility to have a room with proper separate twin beds, not Austrian beds as is the norm, and were lucky enough to be given a family room 20 metres long, with a stunning view of the Stubai Valley and Glacier and heaps of storage space. The dining room is pleasant and light and the 5-course meals (partially buffet, partially served at table) is creative, delicious and in manageable portions. I was impressed at how far the hotel went to accommodate my dietary requirements (very low fat due to a medical condition) - even making me special desserts on a couple of occasions. The spa is lovely (be aware, ladies, your treatments and massages are given by a lovely male masseur). We did not use the indoor pool etc. There is a nice sun terrace but weather was too hot (30 - 35 degrees plus) that week to take advantage of it. The only small complaint is actually not the hotel's fault at all. Corpus Christi day falls in last week of June and is heralded by church bells and cannon fire from 5.00 a.m. onwards and throughout the day at frequent intervals ! Not good to be woken so early, but you have to respect their religious traditions and village culture. At least one other morning we were awoken by sirens and bells the Schuetzenfest, I think. All in all, a great stay in a comfortable very conveniently sited hotel where the staff are extremely helpful and solicitous.
We stayed here for a week in mid-July. The facilities, staff, location were great, and the food was exceptional. The hotel has a very modern pool and spa area, with two pools - one indoor and one that is partially covered but open to the outside. From the outside pool the view is up to the Stubai glacier at the end of the valley, whilst the indoor pool is large, with plenty of seating areas and a solarium. We didn’t use the spa, but it looked good. The quality of the food in the restaurant was first class, and whilst there was not a wide range of choices each night, there was plenty of variety and we never had the same menu twice. We particularly liked the pre-starter salad bar - lots of fresh vegetables and meats and cheeses. Our room was kept very clean and had a modern bathroom, so no complaints here. The staff were all friendly and helpful - a big “thank you” to Christian for getting a good table for us in the dining room! All in all, a high quality hotel in Neustift, very close to the cable car station and a few minutes walk from the town centre. We would stay here again if we return to Neustift.
We stayed in the Bergkonig for a week in mid-July. We were warmly greeted on our arrival and then extremely well looked after throughout our stay. The Stubai valley is beautiful and offers excellent and varied walking. The hotel was well placed to help us make the best of what was on offer.
