Our 3,200 square foot barrier island home will leave you speechless! One house from the ocean. So close to the charming Beach town, yet secluded, quiet, private neighborhood.
Conveniently located on a cul-de-sac, within steps of the ocean, it has private access to a breathtaking, wide and secluded, endless beach. One house away India river shores beach 1minute walk. From this gorgeous sandy beach, you can experience the wonder of giant sea turtles nesting, broad variety of seabirds, or even watch a rocket launch, or skydivers as they land.

Our veranda and large lap pool area is an all-time favorite, for taking siestas in the poolside hammock or the outdoor daybed. It is also wonderful for grilling and beautiful outdoor dining, or just for relaxation and conversation in the comfy padded swivel chairs. We are pet friendly.

We have four spacious bedrooms, two of which have king size beds and large TV’s. Each of the four bedrooms comfortably sleep two guests each for a total of eight guests. There are 2 and 1/2 baths inside, including one with a relaxing, two-person jacuzzi hot tub, and one hot and cold shower outside, enclosed for privacy.

Your perfect days at the beach will include kayak, stand-up paddle board and surfboards, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach towels, kites and beach toys. There is also table tennis and a basketball hoop, all these provided for you.

Take our cruiser bikes just a mile away to explore the charming town. Golfing, fishing, boating, tennis, surfing and all water sports are available in an instant. Located just a short drive from Disney’s Beach Resort. We are pet friendly. There is a pet fee of $250 per pet Dog, per stay. Please be sure to disclose the number of dogs you are bringing in your inquiry.

Beautiful property with great location

Our family of 6 had a fantastic week. The house and grounds are stunning with easy access to the private beach as well as being conveniently located to all that Vero Beach has to offer. We had the pleasure of meeting Maria briefly…she is an excellent host who clearly takes pride in the home and grounds. Communication prior to and during our stay was also great.

Wonderful house, location, and host!!!!

Our stay over Labor Day weekend in Vero Beach at Maria’s house was wonderful and relaxing. Starting from the beginning, when we first booked the house, Maria communicated well and answered all the questions we had. She even went so far as going to the house and counting all the boogie boards, beach chairs, etc., to make sure we had enough for everyone in our party (there were more than enough). She was easy to work with, and very fast to respond. When we got to the house, we quickly realized it was even nicer than in the pictures, and closer to the beach than it looks. Literally a two minute walk on a tiny path and you are on the sand, with private beach access. The location was absolutely perfect. And talk about privacy! We felt like we had the beach to ourselves the whole weekend! As for the house, it was perfect. Very clean, comfortable, and well stocked. Additionally, the outdoor space and pool was shady and a great place to wind down for the evening. The house had a warmth about it, and felt more like home than just a rental. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back, hopefully soon! Thank you for a great stay Maria!!!

Amazing host, safe, beach access, & fun pool

The host is the best I have ever worked with. Arriving late at night was simple. The house was in a safe area, cozy, great pool and a direct path to an amazing isolated beach. This really is a great find. We were in town for baseball at the Jackie Robinson complex which is a nice simple drive. We hated to leave. Great find!

Spring Getaway

The property is definitely a high end property. Very spacious for the 7 of us that stay there. The kids enjoyed the ocean being a short walk, no more than a few minutes. We also enjoyed the pool. Overall I would recommend this property for a classy getaway.

Great springbreak!

Great rental house in Vero Beach

The home is in an excellent location with very short walk to the beach and a short drive to everything you need. Quiet neighbor which feels very safe. Great kitchen which is well equipped. Best Vero Beach Vacation

Perfect house!

Wonderful Beach House

Great location in Vero Beach- quiet neighborhood with a path from the house right to the beach. We had 7 60+ year old women for a college reunion and the property could not have been any better. Loads of room to spread out- 2 full bathroom,1 half and 1 outdoor shower. Backyard area is like out of a magazine! Big washer and dryer. Plenty of towels and beach towels. Perfectly manicured with gorgeous flowers and palms. Lots of patio furniture with 2 hammocks. Girls loved Maria who was so helpful every step of the way. We will be back!

Beautiful property

We can't say enough about this property. It was beautiful, clean and well stocked with everything. Maria was very responsive and sweet. The pool was a great addition when the beach was too hot. The beach was beautiful and relaxing. The house came stocked with beach chairs, paddle board and a canoe. There were bikes if you cared to venture for a tour of the town. We would with out a doubt recommend this place.

Great Beach, Great House!

This property is a true gem - very comfortable, clean and convenient. I was there with my immediate family (4 adults), my 84 year old mom, my sister, and niece. We really enjoyed the common space and the pool area. The beach is about 100 yards down a paved path from the side gate, and there is a nice collection of beach chairs and umbrellas in good to excellent condition. We didn't use the kayak, paddleboard or bikes, but those are available for use. Maria took time out of her week to visit us to make sure everything was perfect. My communications via text message were answered promptly. We rent beach houses at least once a year in Vero Beach to visit with my mom and enjoy some time on the beach, and this was one of the best places we ever rented! As an aside, there was little to no seaweed in the ocean, but a lot of dried seaweed at the high tide line.

Location Wonderful, house was good, but could have been great.

The property needs updating and the listing needs revising to reflect changes in property. Overall, nice, but if owner would spend a little more time and money could be awesome. The location for beach and town is really perfect. Just heat the dang pool and add a little to the rent, anything less is being cheap and places the burden on the renter. Again on the cheap side, water heater is turned almost off, water throughout house is luke warm, wish the pool as we well. Kitchen not adequately stocked with appropriate cookware and utensils. While there are many extras for beach use etc in garage, most are worn out, nothing organized, happy hunting in the stacks... Personal favorite was master suite bed. Pretty sure this was picked up off the street someplace. Bed frame so bent it would not support the entire far side of the bed. Mattress lumpy, as in uphill from right to left one body roll, then plateau for one body roll, then the down hill journey as you roll over lumps towards the left. I mean really. This was mentioned in prior reviews over the last couple of years, so obviously no one cares. Also, that "outside" bath, went from ooh I love an outside shower, to fear of falling in on you and a very rusted out shower head in 10 seconds, thus leaving the shortage of full baths at this property a larger issue. Oh yea, one of the two showers inside the house is barely safe, is not safe for anyone over 60, requires about a foot drop/step down into the tub for use. Our fear was some of the guest would potentially not be able to get out of the shower as a result of mobility issues, so 6 people used one shower for 4 days. Certainly added to that thought of value for this property....not Overall not sure property is to code with enough smoke detectors. Last but not least. The enjoyment of laying in the master bed, trying to relax and not roll off the bed, while watching the room flair with the rising sun (as in not a curtain in the house), listening to the soothing sounds of most likely squirrels chewing and grinding insulation and sheet rock in the wall behind your head. Just cannot get these types of experiences any other place than VRBO. :)

Return to Paradise!

This was our second of many more stays at Surf Lane. We unfortunately picked the week that Hurricane Ian devastated Florida for our family vacation. I cannot express enough how amazing Maria was through our entire stay! She checked on us, did everything she could to keep us safe, to include sending a team of people in to prepare us for the storm. Without any request on my part, Maria graciously offered to refund a portion of our rental fees because we were hunkered down and could not enjoy the beach or the pool. I give the Surf Lane home 5 stars, and give Maria 10 stars for her kindness, grace and responsiveness. I cannot wait for our 2023 family vacation at Surf Lane.

Lazy beach vacay

We stayed in Vero for the first two weeks of 2022 to visit family and escape the cold Chicago winter. Surf Lane is a quiet street with only 6 houses on each side. Maria's place is not ocean front but the walk to the beach is no more than 3 minutes through the HOA's easement. This is the only way I can enjoy a beach day...when the house is so close it feels like you could stay there all day. The house is loaded everything you need to enjoy the beach: a beach cart to carry beach chairs, toys, cooler, umbrella, etc. We had unseasonably warm weather so the pool was refreshing and we enjoyed the fire table on the covered patio in the evening with a glass of wine or 3. Maria was very responsive and was able to help us get the pool heater going in no time. Pro tip: using the solar cover really helps contain the heat but don't expect the pool to be much over 80 degrees if the air temperatures are under 80. We only have one small issue and that's the quality of the bed in the master bedroom. The other rooms seemed to have newer mattresses but the master was a back killer. Overall Maria's place is a charming rental. Unlike many vacation homes we've rented, this one felt warm, well decorated and was exactly the escape we were looking for. Something about the vibe in this house tricks you into thinking you're on the Mediterranean coast! We'd stay here again for sure.
