About a month ago i orderd a room in villa ambrosina via booking com. Unfortunately, few days before arriving, i lost my credit card. One hour before arriving i received a mail that the order cancelled .Icalled the place and they said that the room was given to another. The only room left is bigger and cost 100 euro, insted 75 euro for the origin room.We had no choise and it was late we agreed. The room was good, the sthff is good, breakfast was very basic (like every hotel we visit in toscany}.The location is about 10 minutes drive to Florence.there are many hotels arround and you can found cheaper places.
Me and my girlfriend were in the hotel for 3 nights in September. We had a car and came from Rome, for each day we traveled to a different place in Tuscany. The hotel was very very good. The Rooms were very big, the service was good, and the breakfast was above average. The only minus for the hotel is that it is not in Florence. But if you need only a day in the city, and for the rest of the days you want to travel, like we did, the location is great!
This hotel was recommended to us by friends and its one not to be missed! We absolutely enjoyed this wonderful hotel located just outside of Florence. The rooms were lovely and spacious - fit for a king. The management was very helpful and even directed us to an ultra-big supermarket on the way to Florence that carries all European brands. Our visit was "off-season" and therefore the local restaurants were closed for dinner. Our suggestion would be to have dinner in Florence. We hope to have the opportunity to come back to this wonderful gem!
Villa Ambrosia is a perfect position if needing to stay out side of Florence, in fact, so easy to get into Florence by bus as well. Very comfortable, lovely friendly reception , and breakfast was correct. Recommend.
We stayed here for 3 nights, great location 5 minutes from Florence. The rooms are clean and new, the staff is very kind and helpful, also, a very good restaurant outside the hotel - Will definitely recommend this hotel. great value for money.
This might not be the most stylish of hotels, but as far as welcoming goes it's up there with the best! Very clean and with comfortable rooms and beds. Beautiful views too. Not the easiest place to find, but worth looking for. Breakfast, although not stunning, was good and plentiful. My only complaint was that the water pressure was VERY low in our room, but at least the water was hot. (I would have appreciated tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but for the price I wouldn't have expected it) Brilliant restaurant next door too!
Comfy little hotel in the hills of Tavarnuzze 10 minutes south of Florence just off the A1. Clean, quiet, a break from the crowds of the city. Recently remodeled and updated. Great views, cool breeze, nice breakfast. Excellent restaurant next door.
We had a very nice stay in the room located in the main building. The room and the bathroom were small, but very cozy with a lovely garden view. Very quiet! Breakfast was pretty good as well. The staff was really friendly and helpful. We accidentally lost our car keys and they helped with finding assistance from the rental agency spending significant time on the phone with them as we do not speak Italian. The location is excellent, but you need a car to get there and it is pretty hard to find, but it is worth it: the views of Tuscany hills from Montebuoni are spectacular. It is very easy to get to Florence using a local bus (you need to go downhill to the town and then uphill on the way back to the hotel from the bus stop, so it is definitely not for everyone). The major highlight of this place is the restaurant, Ristorante Montebuoni: the best possible selection of wine and authentic Tuscany food. This restaurant is pretty upscale and is not part of the hotel (I posted a separate review to thank the owner).
Charming place , comfortable, helpful staff ( even though the night staff did not understand English, they were helpful) The view from our room was magnificent, beyond words. Breakfast is nothing special. Very good and spacious, clean rooms. An olive oil-tasting location is there closeby. An attached restaurant has a very good menu and staff.
Two families stayed for two nights here during our trip to Florence & its outskirts. Had a great view of the landscape from our rooms on the first floor. There was free breakfast which was a typical one though. The rooms were huge & the bathrooms too! The rooms didn't have a fridge but the climate was great! Hot water was available in the tap. Children had a good time too.
