Had a beautiful view from the top floor across the beach and to the mountains. Just steps across the street from the hotel to the beach. Very good restaurants within walking distance. Cliff Road and the nearby park were great for walking and short trip to the lighthouse is worth it. Free bus stops right by hotel so you can leave the car behind for many trips.

My husband and I booked last minute and the customer service from the lady was fantastic. Check in was easy, the room was spotless and had amazing views of the beach!! They had a great range of complimentary hot chocolates, tea’s and coffees etc. Bed was comfortable. Shower had amazing pressure! My husband was super impressed with that!! And the breakfast at the restaurant downstairs was amazing. Check out was great, all the staff were so personable and friendly. Overall had a great stay and will definitely be recommending!

Took a $50 pre authorisation on arrival and payment on checkout of 300 +. Five days later I had another pending transaction of $274 which didn't match the amount of the accomodation and the pre auth was already released. I called up to investigate and the gentlemen on the phone didn't know what had happened so I finally got a call nine hours later and got told that there was a system error. Since I work in hotels and you have to manually enter a pre auth in the EFTPOS machine, I have no idea how they can justify it was a system error.

We booked in online for a last minute stay. We were immediately upgraded on arrival and given drink vouchers. Very friendly and obliging staff. The room was very spacious, as was the bathroom. Bed was really comfortable - we could have had one each! The deck looked out over the ocean. Hotel was only a few blocks (about one kilometre) from the restaurant strip, and right at the beach and a fabulous walking, biking track. The I house restaurant looked out over the beach and ocean and the menu looked really interesting. Parking was at no charge despite the signs. We will go back again.

I have stayed here on many occasions for business and will absolutely be back to stay for leisure. On EVERY interaction from Front Desk to Eventing, I have been delighted with the professionalism, warmth and hospitality demonstrated by the Novotel Northbeach team. Everyone during our stay has gone above and beyond to make our stay out of this world. The staff are convivial in nature and genuine customer care has been second to none. The rooms are stunning and I would absolutely recommend the Ocean View rooms. On every visit I would leave the curtains open to watch the sunrise in the morning. It's also a great excuse for breakfast in bed! Heartfelt thanks to everyone at the hotel!

This is the nicest Novotel I've stayed in! It must be newly renovated because the hallways and rooms are pristine. Over looking the beach the Novotel is a great central location in The Gong. Also the staff are so friendly, I couldn't recommend this place enough.

Had the best room with balcony looking up the coastline. Staff were very helpful. Even fed cockatoos on balcony. We chose buffet meals and they were good except, as we told them when they asked, less Asian hot food would be nice for older Aussies

My wife and I spent a night at the Novotel and found it to be a pleasant experience. The hotel looked like it had been recently refurbished. The balcony room we had was large and clean. The toiletries were average. The only complaint I have is the queen size bed which was bouncy and uncomfortable. The reception staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend this hotel for both business and pleasure as it is ideally located close to the beach and restaurants.

Beautiful building but back in the 70's ! Air conditioning vents above bar extremely old and ugly. Blue decor on wall not enjoyable to look at. Chairs need covering new carpet needed, I'm a property styler and can see needed work for this place to look amazing !

Even thou the hotel is in a prime beach location it sits on a cross road that is extremely busy. Once inside its quite open with an inviting coffee lounge. However thats were the fun stopped, on arrival we were desperate for a nice coffee so went down to the coffee lounge and meet the barista Jonathan, what an experience, he asked us for our order 4 times over the course of actually getting a coffee, the last time he returned with 2 black coffees for a different table and tried upsetting the black coffees with a biscuit, in the end a women took our order and we only waited 30 minutes to actually having a coffee from the time of arrival. On the level our room was located their appeared at some time scenic pictures were once located along the foyers but these had been removed and the space painted over were the pictures were removed the wood frames were damaged but not repaired just painted over. For a 4 star hotel their was certainly a lot of issues.
