We had a fantastic stay here with our two year old and four month old. The baths were great and also had a sauna and cold pool, and the room was very clean and comfortable. The kaiseki dinner and breakfast were superb and there was a menu in English. Our host Sarina was wonderful. The hot sand onsen is a short walk from the hotel and was very easy to get to. We loved the small touches for the children with the kidsโ€™ yukata robe and Anpanman slippers and the manager brought our car right to the front to help us load up in the rain. A brilliant traditional Japanese inn stay that comes highly recommended from us

A very good hotel. A most wonderful experience. Room was comfortable. Onsen was awesome - the size and the space. Sand bath was an interesting experience - quite fun to do as a family. The highlight was the kaiseki dinner - delicious.

Very nice stay at Shusuien. The meals are excellent. Onsen is comfortable. I went to Onsen twice and there was no one else. The hotel facility is a bit old, as it is a hotel with history. But it is very traditional and you get to experience the culture.
