i went for my friend's hen night for a few nights. Very helpful and kind staff made our trip amazing. Great rooftop swimming and location. Receptionist were exceptionally helpful and made us feel very welcome.
Great nice cool hotel. Great service and very friendly. Mary and Belen are really great service. Always will come back and recommend this hotel to all my friends. Good location, nice area of the beach and very close to all other areas on the island Mucha Gracias
The hotel was outdated,no fridge or air conditioning,my room backed on to a scene from the worst episodes of Benidorm ,television circa 1970, remote control would not work, noise level from the rear of my room was atrocious ,I would not go back even if someone else paid.Staff were superb, and seriously wasted, all of them could have had jobs in the best London hotels, especially the reception staff during the day and night, thank you ,you made my holiday.
My friend and I stayed there for a long weekend in Ibiza... hotel is def not value for money and is too expensive for the services (or should I say lack of services) provided. Rooms are very small and look like they are from the 80ies; no air con in the rooms knowing that Ibiza is boiling hot in summer; bathroom also very old with hardly any lightings. Also, forget about breakfast; most you can get are tiny pieces of burnt toast. Only advantage of this "hotel" is the location. But considering how bad this place is; it's not even worth it!
You get to what you pay for at this hotel. Beds aren't too comfortable, TV is not modern, and the hotel looks a little in need of update. The location is not too far from the airport or Ibiza Town. Public transportation is near. There's a beach across the street from the hotel which is okay, However beaches on the other side of the island are better. Hotel had only two irons and they were being used meaning I could not iron my clothes for my stay. Only stay here if you are not going to be in the hotel except for when you sleep.
Well what can I say, arrived for a 4 day trip with my husband and son. Was sold as a family hotel. Disgusting horrible place. I can only describe it as a low low budget hostel. Receptionist tried to charge us for room, on arrival, then laughed when we told her it was fully paid for. Also be prepared to pay tourist tax. People were complaining, continually. Was promised balcony, sea view, guess what no. As soon as we arrived, we knew straight away it was not a safe place. Looked like a red light district. Hotel room was shocking, beds horrible, take in mind travelling all day and suddenly u hit with the room, disturbing, will post photos, u decide. A cheap fan for three people, that was the air conditioning. Window was horrendous, curtains were dirty, with a plastic black out curtain. Searched straight away for alternative hotel. Left next day as we had no choice to stay that night. Worst experience. Area is not suitable for tourists. Please avoid at all costs.
Please do not stay here if you are coming for a relaxing holiday . Rooms need gutting and redoing No air-con No fly protection on the window , you have to have the windows open as its so hot , get bitten loads . One horrible , load, desk fan for room . 1950s style , should be in a museum. No way 2 star ,more like a hostel then Hotel . Did not feel safe at all . Had to move to the sister hotel across the road. 100% better hotel . Don Quijote hotel ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing family holiday . Done all the right things about complaining. Never ever again
DO NOT STAY HERE- NO MATTER WHAT. I arrived 2hours early to the hotel in Ibiza (after requesting an early check in weeks before hand prior phone call, and it was granted) only to be told I had to wait until formal check in started at 2pm. This threw my plans slightly but was a minor inconvenience that I was happy to overlook. I asked for access to the pool and was given it - which was lovely. As I was locking my luggage away in the hotel luggage room I noticed 4-6 men chatting amongst themselves and smiling while looking at me. As a young, female, solo traveller I am used to this and ignored them. Going up to the pool area I was followed by these men who hung around my pool chair and began saying some suggesting things in broken English. Disturbed, I walked down to the lobby and told the receptionist who (potentially due to translation errors) laughed and said it was fine. I decided to hold off on the pool and waited in the lobby area. While waiting these men continually hung around and at one point checked to see if I was the only one in the lobby (I wasn't). At this point I was more than uncomfortable and starting to feel a bit scared. Luckily, I checked into my room not soon after and began to feel better. However I then heard the men pacing around my floor and laughing loudly/ making animal noises and whistling. Now completely disturbed/frightened, I went down to reception and asked for help. The lady there said she could call her manager. I went back up to my room and found another place to stay. I figured the hotel was not taking me seriously enough and I should trust my instincts to leave. I went downstairs with my bags and checked out, telling the receptionist why and asking for - if not a full- then partial refund. She refused - saying it was a non refundable booking- and told me I was 'being silly'. In quite a distraught state, I decided to leave it at that point as I was not thinking rationally enough to discuss my predicament. I am now requesting a full refund for my booking at the don quijote hotel. This was a horrible experience in the last leg of my 4 week long Spanish travels. This hotel was supposed to be the highlight of my trip but instead left me frightened and wanting to go home. I am disappointed at the response received by staff at the hotel and from the Playasol chain. It is now coming on 15 hours and numerous emails and I have not heard back from anyone from the hotel or management regarding my experience or request for refund. All I can say is - do not stay here. J haven't even gone into the substandard room (in which I found several hairs), the lack of security around the hotel and the poor state of the pool area. Although a budget hotel, you expect at least some comfort. Don quijote does not provide that. Spend your money elsewhere and be safe.
I stayed here with a friend in July and we had a great time. The hotel is in a great position, right near the beach and some lovely restaurants. The hotel is clean and the staff are lovely and very helpful. The rooms were big enough and quiet. The only downside was the air con which was a shame, but we were in the middle of a heatwave so was probably worse than usual. Would recommend staying here if you are on a budget.
I was put up here last minute for a night after arriving in the early hours of the morning. The staff were pleasant and helpful. However, I was less than impressed with the room. It was a twin room, and the beds were not very comfortable. The room was a bit dirty and the bathroom was showing it's age. There was a big desk fan (which was needed due to no air conditioning) but it was incredibly noisy. Suffice to say I barely slept that night and was happy to check out the following morning. On the plus side, if you want to be right by the beach, the location is spot on.
