Grupotel Santa Eulària & Spa - Adults Only4.0 out of 5.0

just returned last week from our 4th visit to this hotel. A lovely peaceful week in a hotel that caters for couples only, with high standards across all areas. The staff are a wonderful group who are always smiling and happy and cannot do enough for their guests. Top class and we will return hopefully again later this year
This is our return visit to the Grupotel and it hasn't disappointed. I am writing this from my balcony room overlooking the sea and it is a truly idyllic view. The hotel itself is a pleasure to stay in. The food is superb and the entertainment just fits our needs. It is adult only so has a quiet, laid back ambience. We will be sad to go home but will definitely be back. There is an outside pool and an indoor spa. The centre of Santa Eularia is about a 10 - 15 minute walk away. Enough distance to wear off a few extra calories. The photo is the view across to Nikki beach from our balcony.
Nice hotel to stay. 20 minute walk to a nice Marian which had lots of restaurants. Hotel rooms were very good and clean. Do not choose room at rear. Poor outlook and deliveries are going on from early morning. Good at hotel average. One day had pork which was undercooked and sent it back another time potatoes were hard and could not eat. Good overall had good selection but would only give 3 out of 5 for this. Good entertainment on 3 nights of week. Overall good holiday for a reasonable price. George
Lovely, friendly and hardworking staff. They spoke English well so communication was easy. Our room was directly looking out onto the bar area which we were horrified about at first when we went out onto the balcony and saw lots of people sitting at tables directly outside! But we grew to like this as some of the entertainment took place directly on the other side of our balcony so we didn't have to leave our room. (This meant we could drink our own stuff instead of paying three times as much for the hotels drinks). Dinner was good with lots of choice. Our room was good and kept clean by a maid on a daily basis. Gym and spa facilities were lovely and we used these regularly. The outside pool was clean, and very quiet. (Perhaps too much for our liking, but great for those who like a quiet pool area to relax in!). We never had a problem getting a sunbed. This hotel isn't great for younger people though if I am honest. Me and my boyfriend are early 20's and found no other guests of similar age, during our stay. There wasn't much suitable for us locally either. It's a very peaceful, quiet area. Not lively enough for us. Though, this is not a criticism as this would be wonderful for those who like that sort of thing! It is certainly good for those wanting to relax. The additional charges for the hotel would be the drinks, which were expensive, including the mini bar. But there are supermarkets nearby where you can buy cheaper drinks. You also have to pay for Wi-Fi. Entertainment was great. There was also a great choice in food from the buffet.
We received a very nice welcome at 23:00! Late arrivals receive a small cold buffet and water on arrival. We were impressed with the cleanliness throughout the whole of the hotel and the room was ample with very comfortable beds, with a reasonable sized balcony, 2 chairs and a table. We didn’t have a view from our room, but it was very private. If you want a room with a view I think you would be as well to call the hotel, their English is perfect. We thought the pool area was peaceful and the pool was easily accessed via ladder, slope, steps and even a chair for wheel chair users. The hotel also had sunbeds under the pine trees, which was a nice touch, with access to the sea only 50 metres away, via steps. If you are going to use the steps you may want to use swim shoes to protect your feet. The terrace by the pool was comfortable with plenty of chairs and tables and the staff very friendly, with a nice menu for lunch. The staff were great and all spoke English. The reception staff were the best we have come across, friendly and always had time to help and we never queued, as there was nearly always plenty on duty. The Marina was an easy 10 minute walk and a further 10 minutes to a very lovely, clean beach, with water sports etc. and plenty of restaurants. The little town was pleasant, with great shops. The other nearby beach Nui Blau was quieter and again only 10 minutes the other way, although a little bit more challenging walk! At the beginning it looks terrible, some of the path has been washed away, but don’t give up, as it improves. It had a couple of nice beach café/restaurants, selling local food as well as the obligatory toasted sandwiches etc. Sun beds and brollies are available at a cost, but there are plenty of large trees to shelter under if necessary. We enjoyed the evening entertainment. The Four Tops tribute was particularly good. The bar area was large with loads of seating, the only thing we didn’t like is that the terrace is a smoking area (to be fair one of the few in the hotel) but it became very stinky for me being a fussy non-smoker! Unfortunately, when the bi-fold doors were opened up the smoke then wafted in to the bar area. But it didn’t stop us enjoying the evenings. Food was a high standard, with enough variation, offering large selection of fresh fish every evening and various meats. Breakfast was also very pleasant. Reception organised a hire car for us and there was plenty of parking under and around the hotel. This was a very peaceful hotel, I guess having no children was the main reason for this, but also it was quiet around the pool, no thumping music and no entertainment, this may not suit some, but we found it very relaxing. Oh and the weather was amazing! We booked with Thomson and flew with Norwegian Airways, all went well. Norwegian is a great airline, comfortable aircraft, with plenty of leg room and very efficient crew. Ibiza airport was a bit of a disappointment. We reckon the cleaners were on strike! It was disgustingly dirty!
Just returned from our first trip to the Grupotel were we had a really lovely time. Hotel is spotlessly clean, staff are helpful and friendly, rooms are a good size, plenty of sunbeds around the pool and on the terrace. Food was great with lots of variety. Yes it is a bit far out from town but you can get a taxi for 7 euros or get a bus for 3 euros and the town is well worth a visit, again kept very clean and lots of restaurants and shops with a couple of beaches. Personally we liked being a bit outside town because it was so tranquil but a small bus running into town a few times a day would add to the overall experience. We are definitely will be coming back to this hotel in the future.
Just coming to the end of 2 weeks in this hotel. Lovely place , comfortable rooms , indoor and outdoor pools clean , gym , sauna all great. We were half board , and food was ok , but "samey". Got a bit boring so we ate out every other night. How could it improve ? It's 15 -20 mins walk away from the harbour where all the cool bars are , so a courtesy bus would be a nice touch. There isn't one. Cabs cost 8 euro each way. Wifi is chargeable at 15 euros a week. This isn't really very 21st century. It's free in bars all over the town and should be free in the hotel. Tea and coffee making facilities should be in the rooms. It isn't. I don't want these to seem really negative , have had a great holiday here , great vibrant resort and hotel was really good. Just a few simple tweaks could make it brilliant !
It was our second visit to this wonderful hotel, the staff at front desk are so friendly and proud of what they do, best room 2012 lovely seaview, take time to look at the other reviews. Well done guys
Adults Only with an average age of about 103. Lovely and quiet if you like to read books by the pool. The only music is in the bar area and is not loud. Nice outside seating area for lunch and a great sunbathing area on the roof (Just one flight of stairs). The bedrooms are clean, with a safe and TV with the main UK channels. And a Fridge (They call it a mini bar and they don't like you using it as a personal Fridge) We were told off for putting our water in it. Towels were changed every day and you can use their sun bed towels, so no need to take any with you. There is Wifi (But! You have to pay. It's 15 Euro for 7 days. The food is pretty good, great selection and the meats & fish are cooked in front of you. Only minus point from me was the lack of nice cheese and not many biscuits. All the staff were friendly (Except for Mr Mini Bar Man) And Emilia is a credit to the hotel. Position of the hotel isn't perfect, But not bad, It's about a 15 min walk to the Marina and extra 10 to the Town or more if you are 103. But! There is a large supermarket only 5 mins away next to the children's park. My main annoyance is having to pay for the Wifi (It's usually free in the bar & lounge area. Would I go back? Probably! And I've got 50 years to go.
Our second visit to this wonderful hotel, and will not be our last. From checking in with Inge and Emilia who were extremely polite and couldn't have been more helpful, to our cleaner Nakane everything we could wish for. Sea view room was excellent and we had booked direct with the hotel and requested a particular room which we were pleasantly surprised to be allocated. We will definitely be back in 2018 and as it is adults only is ideal for a complete chill holiday, especially on the the sun terrace. We would like to thank all the staff for making our holiday an excellent experience and throughly recommend it.
