Grupotel Cala San Vicente3.0 out of 5.0

The Hotel is quite good, suites are spacious and your balcony let you see and hear the sea always. Dinners and meals are in the spanish average but not good quality as expected nor many choices, however we felt good there.. If you want to stay relaxed and with good sea just stay there, but at the 3rd day you are going to get bored of it!
I have visited the Gruphotel Sant Vincente a number of times and thoroughly enjoyed it. A lovely hotel, if not a little dated, sea views, decent breakfast all situated in a picturesque and quiet cove on the White Isle. Perfect antidote after a few days clubbing on the livelier parts of the island. On its own, a solid four stars, maybe five. However, this year the hotel next door have ramped up their 'entertainment' provisions to cater for a gaggle of Italian tourists. It ranges from morning dance classes, lunchtime volleyball on the beach and an evening cabaret on the terrace only Butlins could be proud of. All of which are accompanied by a microphone, a very loud loudspeaker, a screechy MC and some dreadful singing. I'm no killjoy but no thank you - completely out of kilter with Cala Sant Vicente and needs to stop (or take place in a room with good windows). Might be appealing to some but the noise reduces the star rating down to three for me.
We stayed at the Grupotel for a quiet first family holiday, with our 4 month baby. While most things are just about average, the comfort in the room has dented our opinion quite significantly. There are lots of positives, like the proximity of the beach - it's just over the walkway, no cars so really safe if you have children. Food was pretty good, never exceptional but almost always decent and tasty. The pool area is clean and there are always free loungers to jump on, ideally with a drink in your hand if you are like me. Bar by the pool has friendly staff and we enjoyed our time hanging out there. The beach itself is great, sandy and clean. The sea is fairly quiet with minor waves, nothing like the ocean ones anyway. Location is quite a way away from Ibizan hustle and bustle so if you plan to go to town it's a bit of a trek. So those are positives. Going back to reasons why we wouldn't go back to stay there are their beds. I could write a long time here about how important it is to have a decent sleep while on holiday but I won't. All I will say that beds are super hard, even for the person that prefers firm mattress. It's like sleeping on the floor really. Shame really as everything else works!
Older hotel that is neatly renovated. Fairly average both in design and food. The best thing is however its location - right on a wonderful beach. We visited some of the surrounding bays and beaches and this was definitively the best beach with a wonderful promenade. The hotel is not very big and that makes it a relaxing oasis even in the middle of August. Quiet. The staff was very nice, polite, in a good mood. Not recommended for those looking for entertainment. The only slight disturbance is its sister hotel that is booked out by the Italian travel agency and can get pretty loud at some points.
The hotel is located just besides the wonderful beach of Cala San Vicente, with all rooms equipped with a balcony and sea view. Rooms are of medium size and well cleaned. The hotel provides beach towels to its guests, and sun umbrellas are also available on request at the reception. Live music is performed on Monday, Wednesday and Friday only, and breakfast/dinner food is of good quality. In my opinion the price is anyway a bit expensive compared to the services provided. Consider renting a car as the location is quite isolated from the nearest cities. A public parking area is located at just 1 min walk from the hotel. Wi-fi connection is good, and the hotel staff is professional and polite. One remark: we stayed at this hotel also in 2012, and now found some worsening concerning the dinner buffet and bar outdoor furnishing. Nothing highly relevant but it's like the hotel management had to make sum budget cuts (although the price is higher than in 2012!). Would recommend this hotel.
We ve been very pleased with the service provided by the hotel, check in time is early at 1 pm perfect if you land in the morning, room spacious and modern, gorgeous seaview from the balcony, tasty and varied buffet breakfast and dinner. Staff very friendly and kind. The Cala San Vicente is a corner of paradise, small but with enough good restaurants to entertain you for a week. Very relaxed atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. Downsides the double bed was made of two single mattresses ( very confortable though ) and dinner buffet service ended at 9 pm. In summary, hope to visit back soon!
Hotel is very nice with a beautiful view of the Cala San Vicente. Food is average. Hotel is extremely well located but a bit isolated so for families only. I would definitely recommend it for a nice relaxing staying with the family. We did half board as during the day breakfast is enough and you can have a sandwich on the beach
Good package deal from lastmintue.com .The hotel is lovely. Our room was a good size and clean. It was facing the beach and was like 10 seconds away from the BEACH!!!!! Food at the hotel was okay, would recommend going all-inclusive! The cafes and restaurants around are quite expensive. They only disadvantages was paying for wifi and the entertainment wasn’t that great! It’s isolated from the action. Spent most evenings away from the hotel. Perfect holiday if you want Beach, Sun and Isolation.
My husband and I have been to this resort on numerous occasions whilst staying in Es Cana and when we first came across this beautiful bay in 2012 we fell in love with the place instantly. Not enjoying our following years holiday in Es Cana I decided to find out more about the Grupotel for myself (me being a travel agent and having easy access to hotel/resort information) The hotel does not do any "packages" from the UK to include flights, transfers etc and can only be booked direct with the hotel and sort your own flights so that is what we did. The Hotel is predominantly German but that didn't put us off at all as my husband can speak the language anyway. The food however was slightly disappointing especially the evening meal (just strange "concoctions"but we expected that and in no way did it spoil out holiday. The breakfast choice was great so all in all we couldn't complain the setting and the hotel itself were the most important thing to us not the food. The only negative thing I would say is the shower room facilities after check out at 12! They are hot, stuffy and have an open urinal even though there are 2 enclosed toilets too! Our flight was early evening and we did request to keep our room on for an extra 4 hours but apparently there wasn't 1 room available throughout the entire hotel. Needless to say we have booked again and cannot wait to go back. Don't go here if you are expecting night life either as it is really low key but we did go to the 'on the beach' bar at the far end of the bay which is a haven for good music, great service, good food and drinks.
Lovely hotel with stunning views of Cala San Vincente bay from all the rooms. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The food was very fresh and healthy with lots of fish. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. It is a quiet hotel with nothing to do except read, sun bathe and swim. Perfect. 2 steps from the hotel and you are on the beach which is spotless. Cala San Vincente is a small place there's 4 or 5 small restaurants. So if you are after a lively holiday it is not the place for you.
