Fiesta Hotel Tanit - All Inclusive3.0 out of 5.0

Probably one of the most difficult hotels I've reviewed and has been a very frustrating one as I had high hopes for the fiesta tanit. Arrival: Prompt friendly check-in and the usual paperwork out of the way we went to our room (3rd floor overlooking rubbish bins) not too bothered as I wasn't planning on sitting in room or balcony all day. Reading through the notes it began to dawn on me that there were charges for just about everything (obviously except the food and drink in the all inc deal). From safe, iron/ironing board to room upgrade for sea view, €10 deposit plus a €3 charge per towel if you want a new one so please TAKE YOUR OWN TOWELS!!!! Room: Good size but bed possibly the worst I've slept on! Springs poking to the surface all over. Good powerful shower just about hanging on to wall bracket. Plenty of wardrobe space. Room was cleaned daily and very friendly housekeeping staff. Hotel Grounds: The pool is far too small for the amount of guests. Yes there is an adult only pool in the sister hotel which is quieter but when you have kids and want to enjoy time with them it's not possible to leave them on there own. I'm aware people reserve sunbeds but this is the worst I've ever come across! The running joke about the Germans reserving them!!! Well, I can honestly say it was probably 95% British. By 8am there was a towel on nearly every sunbed and often never used. A very lively pool scene and activities all day for kids and adults. The team do work hard. Food: A good selection of food to cater for everyone. Food was Always replenished and was always hot and a good standard. Plenty of room to eat and there's also an outside area. Was only there for 7 nights and think this was just right not to get bored of the food. Bar staff work hard and always friendly. Nice walk to the beautiful beach via hotel grounds and great to see sunsets. Beach is clean and very child friendly and fairly shallow. We ventured most nights towards San Antonio which is approx 20 mins walk to see the wonderful sunsets. There's a local supermarket adjacent to hotel for basics. I understand it's 3 star and it is worthy of that and people need to understand to expect that but there can be improvements. The main frustrations were mainly based around the pool area and extortionate extra charges for basic items. I wouldn't return but I also wouldn't put people off going there.
We have just come back from the Fiesta Tanit, it was lovely the room we had was very spacious we had twin beds and a single bed and there was still lots of room, we were on the second floor and over looked the pool and you could see San Antonio Bay. The bathroom was big too, it was cleaned every day and you got clean towels every day to. The food was lovely lots of choice. The staff where very friendly.
Back again from what we feel is our second home. 9 of us travelled this time, but some were already there. Loosing count at the number of times we have been to the hotel over the years. This time our room was on the 2nd floor, above reception, this was a very quiet room, tho the tree out front blocked our view this still didnt stop us from using the balcony. as always everything kept clean & tidy, always plenty to eat and drink. Felt this year the Animation staff were having to work harder as there seemed to be less of them than their was at the same time last year. Was still great to see the wee smiling faces of Gabi & Demi and also to meet the guys, Hannah, Vicky and Mirjem. Unfortunately there was a bit of a problem with Raymondo. He was very rude especially with my daughter. I was very annoyed at his attitude and the way he spoke to her. This was a disappointing blip on an otherwise fantastic holiday & very disappointing that after all the years of using this hotel we had to make a complaint. He was also very lazy compared to the other guys. we saw him on a few occasions finish activities early after 15/20 mins, he never did any activities where it involved the kids, for example the water polo, he would do the adults game but when it came to the teenagers and the children someone else would have to do it as he would go do another activity instead, but the rest of the guys would be there for the full session no matter who was playing. We felt he was adding to the already full work load of the other guys. Other than this we still had a great holiday at the Tanit & will be back for more fun soon.
This was our second visit to the Tanit, we stayed from 22nd June to 6th of July as a family with two young boys aged 3 and 9. Our first visit was a little bitter sweet and we said we wouldn't return but decided to give it another go as we loved Ibiza so much and The Fiesta Tanit do offer a very family friendly service for a great price.. I am so so happy we decided to return. We had an amazing two weeks. We didn't request any particular room but we were given room 729 which had the most amazing view I've ever had in a hotel, it was spectacular. We could see for miles and the sunset every evening was so beautiful. The room itself was smaller than the room we had last year but still big enough for two adults and two children to live comfortably for a fortnight. We had no noise from neighbours, couldn't even hear their TVs. Always hot water for a shower or bath and water pressure for showers was excellent. Rooms were cleaned everyday and towels were replaced daily also. The standard of cleaning this year was also a lot better than last time and our bed linen was changed every few days. We could hear noise from the bar below but once the balcony door was closed it was silent. The food is fine, some nights are better than others, breakfast and lunch are great and pretty much the same each day. There's plenty of reviews that detail what's on offer. Beer is strong so I didn't drink it but my partner didn't mind it at all. The bar staff will make a mixture of anything u like so I was happy with the standard all inclusive drinks. I mentioned the amazing staff in my previous review and I have to mention them again. Every single member of staff that we encountered throughout our stay went above and beyond our expectations. Such hard working and dedicated people. They seem to work 24/7 yet they always have a smile on their face and are highly proficient at all times. All the lovely cleaning ladies, the maintenance workers, the restaurant staff and reception staff, how anyone could have a bad word to say about them is beyond me. All the staff who work the bar, I'm lost for words, they are there from 10am to 1am everyday and they are the nicest people and so professional. Have to mention Antonio in particular. He and my partner became great friends over the two weeks, he is an absolute gentleman. And of course the famous entertainment team. Gabri & Demi are just a barrel of laughs. Vicky is crazy but she's a sweetheart and always had everyone laughing. Raymondo is hilarious and Hannah was nice but she approached my son 5 different days and each day it was as though she'd never laid eyes on him before even though he played football or waterpolo everyday which even I found kinda annoying. Any problems we had over the course of our stay were dealt with straight away. Our safe went a bit crazy and wouldn't open and they had someone with us in 5 minutes and it was fixed. My 9 year old son was pushed by a much older lad of 16 into the pool one evening and the receptionist and security guard dealt with it immediately and made sure we could going back to enjoying our stay without my son worrying. They made it very clear that the hotel have a zero tolerance for violence or bullying against women or children. But those two niggles aside we had a perfect two weeks and will be back again in June 2018.
Stayed 24th June for 10 nights, this is our 3rd visit to the tanit previous visit was 8yrs ago. not much has changed I didn't think it looked worn like a few mentioned and considering it's been a few yrs ago they kept the up keep of the place very well. Room:1st room we asked to move as adjoining room and you could hear the people next door as if they was standing right next to you, shown another room refused more like a basemeant room not like the pictures, had to wait until next day but this room was more like it floor 6, so reception was good for rectifying our problem. Can't fault this room clean and kept spotless by the cleaners nothing fancy but still nice enough and yes bed slightly worn but still had a good sleep,so I do think depending what room you get it can make a difference the walls are thin more in some than others and also depends on your neighbours but we found this room pretty peaceful. Food:as good as we remember everything we had was very nice, breakfast had everything you could want lunch I found not as big a selection and pretty similar every day but evening meal a few different choices different every night and they do some really nice meals,I do agree with some people it can get pretty hectic in there queue for certain things and staff not replacing food that's gone so your waiting around until they do,they don't clear your tables I don't thing this is custom here I think they do it once you leave and when not busy they take your plates whilst still seated. You should never be hungry here as when breakfast closes you can get burgers etc and at the bar on a evening they do sandwiches.but if you do they do a pizza to be delivered there. Bars/entertainment: outside pool bar fast service nice staff drinks good but only in plastic cup nice atmosphere.inside bar same as out but you can have a glass and this is the room you get a drink to take to the entertainment room which we only went a few times did see a fella with a guitar and singing thought he was very good they do a lot of in house stuff a few outside come in. Pools: 3 pools last time here kids pool right next to the big one they have a new one in a different location which I think is better area for the kids and the main pool able to get more sun loungers round as before felt cramped so that's better got a great atmosphere here that's were they do there entertainment/games etc but is very loud the pool bar is next to this so sometimes we'd watch some of the games they were doing quite funny, but we opted for the adult pool nice and peaceful we didn't realise until this time that we was aloud to use this as it's to the back of hotel next to another hotel but you are,to the back of this you have a lovely cove beach. Other amenities etc indoor amusements area, out door has pool tables etc. Location: you have one shop and pub across the road from you,a few mins away you can get a ferry taxi which is nice takes you into San Antonio or walk from there which we did several times 20mins along the beach path which had lovely views even see the sunset,I did see a bus stop outside the hotel also. Overall: we got a good price to stay at the tanit so I think we definitely got value for money for a nice 3 star hotel but I wouldn't pay any more as you would get better in a 4star etc,we did enjoy our stay again it always is relaxing here we find, only negative is they seem to over charge on hiring things which is where they make there money so if you can bring it I would, notice 10 euro a day for a pram ,kettle less than 2euros a day, safe 4euros and to keep room on until 3 was 30euros and 60euros until 6 which we thought steep other hotels don't charge this much, but we just thought we got holiday reasonable price so brought our own kettle paid for the safe and compromised on the room until 3. San Antonio is a nice small place with not many shops with the usual tat but ok to browse so if you like shopping maybe need to go to Ibiza town, lots of boat trips and plenty of places to eat and drink with a good vibe.
Just come back from an 12 day holiday with First Choice 5 days early. Our 15 year old daughter was exploited by a group of 5 Spanish lads and believe an adult was also involved.. Considered risk of abduction or sexual exploitation. Notified First Choice 24 hour emergency number and advised me to notify hotel reception and talk with the First Choice rep in the following morning. Felt totally let down with no support from First Choice. Spoke to the hotel reception (2 separate people) to report our incident that evening and concerns regarding a potential gang operating at the hotel. They offered a room change, but nothing else. Suddenly couldn't understand me and made no notes of incident. No manager available. Let down. Spoke to First Choice rep in the morning and felt unsafe and let down so asked for help sorting a flight home that day. On site rep was really good. Feel totally let down by Thomson/First Choice/tui and also hotel. Just didn't feel safe. Discussed with U.K. Police and reported to Spanish police when home as was told it was up to me when I was at the hotel.
Not long returned from a week at the Tanit. The hotel itself is really nice, although there is nothing in walking distance except the beach which is in a lovely cove with clear water. You can also walk to where the water taxi's are that take you to San Antonio (although not if you have mobility problems). It's a short ride but def worth it. There is a small shop and an ATM outside the hotel along with one bar but that is it. The rest would be a taxi or a 20/25 minute walk into San Antonio. The hotel itself was very pleasant. The pool was lively in the day with lots of fun activities for kids/families. The food was varied and tasty with lovely salads/cold food aswell. We went to the Waterpark in Playa d'en Bossa which my 8 year old loved. It's not too big so you are not constantly walking around and there are some great slides but nothing really fast apart from the kamikazee which suited us but maybe not for the real thrill seekers. All in all a great holiday.
Stayed here for four nights early July . Very family oriented. As a couple we preferred the pool at adult only hotel which shares same grounds. Much more relaxing and quieter. Food was excellent being a vegetarian I was pleasantly surprised always a few veggie main courses plenty of mixed salads and veg to choose from. Great location small beach on doorstep and a five minute walk to a handful of bars on seafront where you can watch the sunset. We would definitely return to this hotel it caters for everyone 😊 .
had the most amazing holiday again this year our second time and hoping to go again next year. 8 of us went this year. 3 adults 4 kids. and again the entertainment team made or holiday. fun from morning to night, we really dont know how they do it, absolutely fantastic team at hotel tanit.
Second holiday at the Fiesta Tanit, and we will definitely return again. Rooms were clean, food was superb with lots of choice and entertainment staff fantastic. Love the friendly, lively atmosphere. Suitable for kids and adults. Can't wait until next year!
