Hotel has a good location near the end on the beach walkway. WiFi very unreliable in our room so much so we gave up on it. Lucky if you got one bar of reception. Air con never really got the room cold. A couple of nights we had to open the door to let the heat out. On the plus side the food was ok and staff very helpful and friendly. We never had any real issues here and would recommend the hotel to anyone.
We stayed at the Bellamar for 7 nighhts in September. Nice hotel in good location - few meters from the beach. We stayed half board which was exceptional value and for the price. Very good selection of food - amazing freshly squeezed orange juice during the breakfast! Hotel very clean. We would definitely go back there again.
Excellent hotel in a perfect location. Reception Staff extremely helpful and willing to do anything to make your holiday perfect. Rooms lovely, clean and spacious. Bar and restaurant staff very polite and helpful too.
A hotel run by people who actually look after their guests. The staff hardly change from year to year. The people in all departments are friendly, efficient & helpful. The restaurant provides a very good selection of food to a high standard with staff to match.
We stayed at the Bellamar for 10 days and were impressed from start to finish. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, from the moment we checked in they made us feel welcome and were very informative. Our room was on the fifth (top) floor and had a side sea view, plenty of storage space & big mirrors. The bed and pillows were super comfy, good air conditioning, very clean bathroom with towels and bedding refreshed daily. Our package was bed breakfast and dinner, there was a great choice of food in the dining hall regularly replenished (buffet style) with attentive and friendly staff. The pool area had a very clean modern feel to it and the bar / waiting staff were great, beach towels were available to rent with a €10 deposit. I loved that the reception staff recognised us and always said hello at every opportunity (especially Marc and the girls who’s names I didn’t catch). The location of the hotel is really good, just behind ocean beach and a 20minute walk from San Antonio town / the bus station / marina etc. All the staff made our stay extra special and I can’t thank them all enough. Room 509- May
I love IBIZA , its my 8 th visit to the island , and have stayed at most resorts . 8 years ago we stayed at the Bellamar Hotel and enjoyed our stay so much , we decided to return again this year for our summer holiday , staying from 21st May for two weeks . The reception staff are welcoming , the hotel is clean , maybe in need of a refurb but that's all .. Most of the restaurant staff are miserable , Belen in particular shouted at me one morning , embarrassing me in front of others , a staff member witnessed this , and the problem was soon rectified . Angel & Melissa in the restaurant are lovely , they all work so hard and long hours, Marc on reception is lovely also , my only complaint really , was the food , there is plenty of choice , but I feel they need to cater more for guests with allergies , I basically lived on chips cucumber and vanilla ice cream so did eat out quite a lot , I mentioned my allergies to the manager and to ask if dishes could be put out with no nuts /seeds , the request was agreed , but this never happened , which is sad really , I have life threatening allergies and restaurants need to deliver around these , for this reason , I would not return back to the bellamar , otherwise no complaints .. perfect location , small walk into the bay and the same into san Antonio .. Tips for anyone looking to hire a car , don't use gold hire car , we used them and was charged 80 euro for car cleaning , because it was covered in dust !!! so was most of the island .
I’m splitting my review into two, The Hotel : very clean, good housekeeping and decoration tidy. It’s not a hotel that has a huge reception/foyer full of marble, its more compact and smaller scale. The pool bar staff are fantastic, good humoured, helpful and friendly. The reception staff are also helpful and friendly. The dining room staff are bloody miserable. It felt like the grandchildren weren’t welcome. That’s a shame because whilst the offering is limited (compared to large hotels), the food is well presented and very tasty. We never tired of the food during a weeks stay. The rooms are functional, beds large, free safe and fridge. The aircon is out of date : it works but it’s damned noisy. We had a view over the hotel next door, not a major issue, but the sea views would be worth the upgrade. Nice pool, no race with towels for beds but a portion of the pool is in the shade for a significant period of the day. Part 2, Tour operator: we were dropped off at a bus stop about 200m from the hotel, in the mid day heat. The coach driver gave poor directions (and apologised for the politics) and we then had to cross a busy road and find the hotel ( 2nd road on the left). We had 6 large cases, a pushchair, 1year old and 4 year old, plus hand luggage. There were 5 adults. That’s not easy nor desirable, especially when you’ve still to get your bearings. I’ve never been dropped off this far away before and won’t be using Thomas Cook again. Oh, you’ve got to do the reverse when you leave.
We had a wonderful time at this lovely hotel. We were greeted on arrival at reception by 2 beautiful friendly ladies. We were made to be most welcome. Our room was at the front of the hotel overlooking the bay. We requested twin beds, but found the room to be made up as a double. This rectified within 20 mins, well done housekeeper. We found the food to be of a excellent quality at breakfast and evening meal. We could not fault anything with this hotel. One big gripe though is the drop off and pick up points for the coach. There is a 500m yards walk along a busy road to a bus stop. This could be a problem if you are elderly and infirm. This has been mentioned to the tour rep who said this is a local island traffic issue.
Have been going to this hotel for a number of years. Great staff they always go out of there way to help you, hotel clean and quite, food is fantastic great variety. Already booked to go back in September Highley recommended
Stayed here for a week upon the recommendation of a colleague. We were not disappointed. The staff, each and everyone of them was polite and helpful. The hotel was exceptionally clean, very well run and was true 4* standard. Rooms were of a good size with good facilities including an electronic safe which was big enough to take plenty of items. There is a hairdryer though personally I would prefer it if it wasn’t in the bathroom. And the beds! I have to say these were the best hotel beds we’ve had. Not thin mattresses with a topper on, but a proper good quality mattress. Slept like a log each night! We had a side room with views over the sea and bay which was lovely. The aircon worked well and was definitely needed. We stayed half board which was exceptional value and for the price, even if we’d only eaten there once we would have not lost out. The food was varied, fresh etc. Slightly low choice of hot options for vegetarians but I didn’t go hungry! The pool area was lovely, clean and well maintained with different sections. The pool is a good size but being deep, it doesn’t get warm as the sun isn’t on it all day. Far too cold for us!! Would definitely recommend the sangria - gorgeous!
