I must admit first impressions of this hotel wasn't the best. You get dropped off at the bottom of the road and walk up a side street to the entrance. The entrance seemed a bit dated to be honest so was a bit disappointed. How ever from there on in it just got better. The rooms are a good size. With free safe and wi fi. Wi fi not the best in the rooms but was brilliant in the reception area. There is a kettle in the room with complementary tea and coffee for the first day. However this is not replenished again. We did ask at reception a couple of times during our stay and was given more. Just a hint to take your own tea and coffee. Bathroom was spotless with plenty of free complementary toiletries. We never struggled to get beds by the pool and there was four of us. Pool area did not open till 9am and there was never a mad rush to put towels out. You get hire towels for €10 deposit and change them as many times as you want and get your money back when u hand them back to reception on your final day. Food was amazing. Plenty to choose from. Lots of fresh meats, fish, salads etc. I would say this is a quiet hotel. Hardly any children (think this is down to not having a kids club) which suited us just fine. No groups of hens and stags either while we where there. All in all a lovely quiet hotel and would definitely return.
Stayed here with my husband, two sons aged 15, 21 and son's girlfriend in two rooms. This hotel is lovely. Immaculately clean and comfortable. All the staff very welcoming, helpful and friendly. On the outskirts of San Antonio Bay , thank goodness! 😕. The food at the hotel was excellent. Plenty of choice and cooked to perfection. Bar prices not too bad, slightly cheaper than some of the other hotels. Great pool area, although the usual "towels on beds" scenario. The resort of San Antonio a different matter we nick named it Soddom and Gomorrah. Awful place. The hotel made up for it as we did not feel the need to venture out, although quite a nice beach outside the hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Visited last year with my girlfriend. Was lucky to be able to upgrade to a front balcony. Fantastic views of the bay. Hotel lovely and clean. Gym very basic. Staff great. Great location. Beach near perfect. Visiting again September this year but unfortunately not able to get a front balcony this year.
I didn't book this, my partner organised the holiday as a surprise and my friend chose the hotel. I'm so not disappointed they couldn't have chosen better. The location is perfect, the views are superb, the hotel is spotless, reception staff are friendly, pool is a good size for the hotel and clean! We only did bed and breakfast - breakfast is fantastic, great choice and all fresh, constantly being replenished. The drinks from the bar are expensive but they do use named alcohol- not cheap local stuff. Our room was stunning, jacuzzi bath, sea view, huge balcony, clean towels everyday, comfy bed, I would most definitely stay here again. And I'd bring kids here!
Booked this for a 3 night stay as we were attending a wedding so needed to be in the San Antonio Bay area (probably wouldn't have chosen this resort otherwise). The hotel was fabulous! The reception staff were so helpful and friendly, the room was immaculately clean and the beds were very comfortable. We didn't book a sea-view room due to the short stay, but I can imagine the rooms would be worth the money if you were staying longer. We had a room overlooking the entrance to the hotel but it was very quiet at night. The in-room safe was free which makes a change from most hotels I have stayed in in Europe. The pool area was extremely clean and very quiet during the day which was great for us. We had booked B&B and the breakfast was great, lots of choice including champagne and freshly squeezed juice straight from the oranges - never seen that before in a hotel! We ate in the hotel for dinner one evening and again, the food was excellent. Lots of choice and everything looked so appetising! The gym was small but adequate for a bit of holiday exercise. There were good showering facilities for the final day when you have checked out but you leave late too and the reception staff gave us fresh towels and toiletries which was helpful. I would definitely stay here again if I was visiting the resort!
+ Close to beach + Welcoming reception staff + Good seating by pool + Clean room + Good dinner options/quality - Kettle not working (was replaced quickly) - Shower dribbled out - TV did not work - Poor balcony view (probably could have paid to upgrade but not sure) - At breakfast was made to feel most unwelcome. Was accused whilst making a roll of taking food out of the restaurant, I was sat in my seat and hadn't gone anywhere near the door to even warrant this accusation. If people can't make a roll for breakfast then don't serve it. Unfortunately the last negative point topped it for me and then made me to feel unwelcome for sure, considering this was on the first morning and had a whole week to go.
Had a great two weeks at Hotel Bellamar this July. The hotel is spotless, along with the bedroom. Good size swimming pool, considering the hotel is on the beach. Ample sun beds and sun deck, along with a large jacuzzi. Entertainment three or four times per week. Food was very good, with plenty of variety. No que for the Dining Room, as the restaurant times allow for you to select the best time for you on the day. Only draw back on the day of departure is that you have to vacate your bedroom by 12pm, but they do not have any courtesy bedrooms, you can use the open changing rooms for Spa but no privacy.
We returned to the Bellamar for an 11 night stay following a fantastic holiday here back in 2015 however sadly this time around the Bellamar left us with nothing but mixed reviews. Negatives: Food repetitive, head waiter used to be an asset to this hotel not anymore, spent his time standing around talking, not doing any work and shouting orders out to his staff in front of a dining room full of people hardly professional. Evening Meal dress policy needs to be enforced found it totally unacceptable that he was letting people in wearing bikinis and barely a stitch. Not a comfortable environment to be eating your evening meal in. Uncomfortable beds, air conditioning struggled to function resulting in several hot sleepless nights. Positives: Excellent bar staff they are the most friendly, hardworking people you could ever meet and a credit to the hotel. Free bottled water on arrival in room along with free safe and fridge which is a nice touch and saves you a few euros. Ivan M on sax who plays at the hotel on a Wednesday night is a must see. Seeing him and the beautiful sunsets were the only highlight of my holiday this time around. Would I return? Never thought I would say this but sadly at this moment in time it is only a maybe.
My seventh visit to the Bellamar and another wonderful stay the staff are wonderful, breakfast is good ect over the four weeks all the things you want from a hotel are in place. You never have to ask a second time , I look forward to returning next year .
We have recently returned from an 11 night stay at the Bellamar. There isn't a thing we could fault it on. We are a married couple in our thirties who love ibiza and have stayed in San Antonio Bay three times previously. Out of all the hotels we've stayed in this was certainly our favourite! The rooms every day were cleaned to a high standard. Every day we had clean towels & sheets. The rooms, dining room, pool area and reception were all spotless! The cleaners were so friendly and always greeted you with a smile. All rooms come with a free safety deposit box in the wardrobe and air con. The air con isn't the best but it was cool enough. Also a benefit was the €10 deposit for a beach towel. We could get these changed as many times as we wanted and saved room in the cases. Brilliant idea! We didn't get a sea view front facing room as such. But our room was on the side of the hotel so we had a perfect view of the sea. This included the famous sunset! This was as good as being at the front for us. We got some amazing pictures from here. The food in the hotel was brilliant. The hotel is half board. Breakfast is open late enough that you can have a lie in. There was wide selection of food. Fresh fruit, cereals and pastries to a continental or traditional full English. The evening meal was also lovely. When we stay half board or A/I we often end up eating out as the food is so repetitive. But here there was a different selection every day. We didn't eat in the pool bar but did see people having snacks and it looked lovely. Not the usual cheap burger and chips but delicious fresh meals. As the meals at breakfast and dinner were so filling if we did want any lunch we got a fresh sandwich from the shop next to hotel and went for a walk along the beach or took shade in the room. The hotel is in a fantastic location, only a short walk from San Antonio West End. Although a little further this includes the Sunset Strip- Mambos, Cafe Del Mar, Savannahs. It probably takes around twenty minutes - half a hour to walk. Around this area is also the bus station where you can get a bus to anywhere on the island- any time of day. This includes all the night clubs, Ibiza Town & Playa Den Bossa. It costs approx €3 to get anywhere. You can also get the bus to some of the hidden gem beaches. Worth checking out as they are amazing! If we decide to return to Ibiza (we promised this was our last trip) then we would certainly stay here again!
