Very nice hotel and the staff were lovely. Perfect location for what we wanted. Nice and close to a really nice beach with some great bars. The only problem we had was noisy neighbours but not really surprised.

The place is very basic but the main thing is that it's clean. You have everything you need, pots, cups, plates etc... The towels provided were not clean but as I always bring my own, it wasn't really a problem. The room did not get cleaned one day, but it wasn't as issue. The only big issue was the water pressure in the bathroom: both shower and sink! It was basically non existent. I asked the receptionist if anything could be done about it but unfortunately they couldn't. We could not wash our hair all week as it was physically not possible. All together, I'd advise this place to people who are after a quiet place but still want to access Sant Antoni easily.

A group of us stayed here for 3 nights and it was the perfect base! Yes it’s a short walk to the nearest shop and it gets the blood pumping going up a very steady incline on the way back BUT that was good for us as it means we were not just being lazy all the time... The actual location is a little out of everything, but reception were more than happy to book taxis (10€ to San Antonio) or provide directions. Everyone was friendly, including the night security staff. The bar staff were fab and supported our requests brilliantly! Pool and area is large for the size of the hotel and as a group of 10 we had no problems getting loungers together. We had breakfast here too and food was fab. Everything was really reasonably priced too. Rooms were clean, towels changed and the kitchenette was well stocked. No extra charge for safe. No hairdryer but we preempted this so not a problem. Overall fantastic! And a real bargain! Thanks Monterrey.

Hotel is ok but nothing special. Walls are very thin so room can be noisey when trying to sleep off large nights or get an early night. Location is about 10 minutes walk to the bars of San Antonio Bay. However, it is more like a 50 minute walk around to the livelier bars in San Antonio itself where the sunset strip and West End are located. If attending the larger clubs then the Disco Bus leaves from San Antonio so factor in that is a 50 minute walk away or around 15 euros in a taxi. Coming back from Privilege a taxi was around 20 euros. Coming back from Pacha a taxi was 27 euros. Taxi to airport was around 30 euros. The hotel is a little out the way and to walk back to the hotel you do have to walk up a track that is not very well lit at night. We didn't have any issues doing this but some people may not feel comfortable walking up this track alone. Staff were very helpful and spoke good English. Room was always cleaned and made up. Shower wasn't great but did the job. Pool is nice enough and there was always sun beds available. Pool bar is reasonably priced but food menu is fairly limited. If you are just looking for somewhere to sleep and a pool to chill by in the day then this hotel is fine. If you're looking for something with more bells and whistles or want to be closer to the action then maybe look elsewhere.

So we arrived early hours, on arrival we had two bookings, and three rooms. We were told one room was not booked in under the name. The receptionist was very rude, he was like no names here. I had to write it on a piece of paper. The booking in was long and the security guard kept telling us to shh! He was very rude all holiday. We all went to our rooms one room had no air-conditioning and then safe didn't work. The next day there was a hole in the roof and we had to be moved. The hotel is clean and tidy and has wifi rooms are basic but serves a purpose. The pool are is lovely, and the staff here were very nice. The food was good and reasonable priced. There was ample sun beds available and a life guard at all times. The hotel is out of the way of the strip and a twenty minute walk. You can go down to the beach and there are shops near by. There is no lighting at night though for a few roads to get to the main one. The next day the roof caved in on another room and the other third room the toilet light didn't work. There was one night when the security guard banged on our door and told us we will be in trouble for noise. However we were not making noise as he banged on the door and woke us up. He deffo didn't like us, him and the rude receptions we had a problem with all the others were fine. The hotel is cheep and cheerful. But I wouldn't not stay here agin due to rude staff! And not being friendly. There is a vending machine in the lobby which has waster, tea/coffee and snacks.

My friend and I arrived at Hotel Monterrey at 2am after a fairly long journey, only to be told by a rude staff member on reception we weren't booked by in to that hotel (despite my email confirmation saying so). We were told to get a taxi to a different hotel the other side of the bay, with no explanation as to why. We arrived at Apartmentos Formentera and were checked in there, despite none of the details they had for us matching up. This other hotel was a dive compared to Monterrey, we had to spend a full night and day there - and after numerous calls and tweets to who we booked through, we found out Hotel Monterrey had overbooked and couldn't fit us in. I'm not sure why we weren't told this at the beginning. Lastminute eventually told us to go back to Monterrey that evening to be checked in, I called the reception to double check that they had a room for us and was told they were full and would have to 'move people around'. (Despite having a booking). Finally the second night of our 4 day holiday we checked in to Monterrey, after spending a night in a lower value hotel. Monterrey have refused to compensate us for the night we spent there. When we finally checked in, we were given a room on the lower floor. Despite advertising all rooms with a 'balcony', as we were practically in the basement we just had a small outdoor space, a bit like a prison yard. The pool area is lovely, it's a great shame about the basic rooms and poor service.

Me and my friend came away to Ibiza for a clubbing holiday - however we were both on a budget. We decided that this hotel looked decent so decided to stay here. Firstly, the bus that transfers you from the airport drops you off at the bottom of a very long and steep hill - lugging this up with suitcases is quite difficult and it would have been very beneficial to have known this before! The room is basic and the beds are quite uncomfortable. I would like to say that the staff on reception are lovely (especially Alberto!) and we're always happy to book a taxi for us to get into town. The location is a little bit far out but cost us no more than 10 euros to get into the centre - and sometimes we even walked which took 15/20 minutes. Cleaning service is poor - sheets were never changed and I had mascara on my pillow case from the first night up until the night we left! Overall it's a very basic hotel however I do believe that it's worth the money. The pool area is lovely. Maybe if you're thinking of a clubbing holiday - go somewhere closer to where all the action is.

Stayed here over a week with my family and it's great. Our first time at San Antoni side of the island and even just because of this hotel-apartment we had a great stay! It's a hotel/apartment with pool and all kinds of people have stayed here this week. We booked ourselves an apartment with breakfast included. From the airport it's like 25 min. by car and like 45 min. by bus line 9. For people with kids that love to be around the pool it's a great place to be. Nice staff, everyday your room will be cleaned even on Sunday! We are not complaining at all!

Arrived on 29.07.17 for a week (£500 each) as a family aged 50, 45, 23 and 15. Hotel was up a slight hill and hard work in hot weather, coach drivers won’t go up the hill so you have to pull your cases up yourself! If you have older members or small children travelling this could be a problem. We were kept awake EVERY single night by very noisy clubbers coming, going and banging doors shut at all hours, which set the neighbouring dogs off barking for the night. We had to go to security at 3.00 am one night as people above were screaming and shouting. Security went up armed with a truncheon but it carried on for another hour! Really nice pool and surrounding area that weren't crowded. Rooms were clean with extremely comfortable beds but bathrooms very dated and obvious that they had been intentionally damaged by others previously e.g. toilet loose but was fixed immediately. Kitchen was tiny and virtually none existent e.g. no toaster, electric kettle etc. Mixed nationalities and age groups etc. but I would say this is NOT a family hotel especially if you like a decent night's sleep. We came home feeling absolutely exhausted and wished we had gone elsewhere. I feel sorry for the staff as they were very nice and tried their best but have to deal with idiots who just want to get drunk. To cap it off, we waited to be picked up at the same place as dropped off but the Jet2 coach didn’t turn up. Instructions said ‘collection on main street’ but no map showing location and virtually no instructions. Overall we were bloody glad to get home for the quiet. This hotel is not in the centre and only a stroll away from where we stayed last year, which was quiet but worlds apart. I don't normally leave feedback but I think it's fair to warn people.

Really enjoyed my stay here, it felt like a home away from home. We had a nice apartment on the ground floor, next to reception. Comfy beds, comfy sofa, clean kitchen area and dining area, clean bathroom, good telly and wifi. The kitchen had enough cutlery and porcelain for the 3 of us and also had pots and pans. The fridge was a mini but was good enough. Many people complained online about the furniture and decor being "outdated" - Furniture= hangs clothes, sit on it, have your lunch on it etc, it did its job, it was clean and comfortable! Pool area was great and clean. Lots of sun loungers, canopy bed things and great music. The pool restaurante had good food but not many options. Pizza was fresh and yummy. Flat was cleaned daily. Fresh sheets and towels. The reception staff was friendly and always helping 24/7. Even when we came back from a neon paint party, drenched in goo- the man at reception gave me fresh towels. For those who read the distance, the walk uphill was great exercise after eating so many ice creams. Was 10mins to the nearest strip of cafes and Spars. 15-20mins to the closest beach and bigger strips. Close to all the big clubs, didn't cost more than 9€ a taxi. After we checked out, we had a place to store our bags for the rest of the day and a courtesy room to use for showering etc. after spending the day out and until we had to get onto our transfers back to the airport. This was my first time at a self-catering aparthotel and I'm extremely happy! The pictures online did not do it justice at all!
