Hótel Laxárbakki is situated on the banks of the Laxá river in Hvalfjord. Only an hour drive from Reykjavik, Laxárbakki offers professional accommodation close to some of Iceland's most beautiful sights.

These studio apartments are new and comfortable. The bedding can be set up as double or twin upon request. The apartments have a balcony facing either north or south. They are equipped with a kitchen where you can find all you need for a regular cooking session. Furthermore, there is a washing facility on site, making it an ideal stay for longer periods. There is a hot tub for our guests to enjoy, along with a restaurant and bar.

The surroundings have everything to offer. Only a few minutes drive and you are in Hvalfjord, one of Iceland's most attractive fjords. The country's highest waterfall, Glymur is to be found at the bottom of the fjord and it is well worth the trip to see it. Laxárbakki is close to Snæfellsnes which hosts Snæfellsjökull glacier, the setting for one of Jules Verne's most famous books, "The journey to the center of the earth".
