Big house, value for money but not in main area
We had an enjoyable stay. The house was very large and private and generally in a quiet area apart from a few dogs which seem fairly common in most of Egypt. Owner-Really kind, helpful and great communication. On hand to help if any issues and responded to messages straight away.House- Generally very nice but slightly unfinished but again this seems to be very common everywhere in Egypt. We were able to cook in the kitchen but a few additional bowls, baking trays etc would have been useful. Also very dusty in Egypt and limited cleaning things to be able to clean the floors for example. Good wifi downstairs but upstairs we couldn't access. The outdoor space was nice and the pool looked nice and the owners maintained it well -but it felt a bit cold so we didn't try it.Area-It is in an area between Hurghada and El Gouna and there is not much there. The area has a fair few abandoned houses / or just being built. There is a local shop which was great and sold most things we needed, and even delivered things if we wanted. You can get Uber cheaply to Hurghada or El Gouna for about 150-200 egyptian pounds 2 or so for a 25 min journey. Some excursions chrage extra for pick up from this area (5-10 euro per person) but not all (look at small print-classed as Al-Alhaa)-we got an uber instead. Great App "cheers" will deliver alcohol to your door and talabat will deliver food from a number of restaurants. Overall, recommended value for money.
