Very happy with this hotel. The atmosphere is absolutely lovely. The staff were friendly. We arrived a few hours before check in time due to our flight and the reception staff had a room for us ready within 30 minutes. The food was excellent, wonderful variety of foods at the buffet as well as my favorite Egyptian foods. The pool was beautiful and so large, the beach was awesome, the staff even set up our chairs with the towels for us. Overall I really have to say that this was the best resort I have ever stayed in, in any country, and I travel quite a bit.

Most friendly and helpful receptionist ever, so lovely and great first impression of the hotel. Fortunately, everything about the hotel was exceptional, and I don't give praise lightly. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service. Food was great and service in both places attentive and efficient. The room itself was very well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay, and although had a great and sweet this time, I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

My husband and I just got back from this hotel after spending a week of luxury and pampering. You will not be disappointed as you are in a brilliant hotel where all staff are lovely and very hard working. On your arrival the reception staff make you feel special and offer an Egyptian drink. (Very tasty). The hotel itself is absolutely breath taking and when I say the swimming pools are big trust me they are, they even have a heated pool. Try the jacuzzi Island where they are situated outside and steam room and bed swings. The lazy river is great fun. The beach is very close 5min walk. (Private beach). No towels neaded all provided every day. Your rooms are lovely. We got the cheapest room but was spacious and clean with a view looking over the pools. ( breath taking views especially at night when lit up). You do not need a special plug they cater for both sockets Europe and international in all rooms. The food was of good quality and a wide choice. We loved the beach bar and the barbie every night. We were able to book free of charge restaurants that are supported by the hotel. They were all worth trying very tasty. If you leave the hotel turn right not left where you walk straight and will come to The Hard Rock Cafe, McDonald's and general shops. No need for taxi. ( however the shop owners and cabs will constantly try to sell you things). Last but not least kiddies. I personally feel this hotel is more for adults at this time of year and is probably more for them to do in higher season (my own opinion). However they have got a beautiful kiddies section which is cornered off from the other pools. It has a large sand area, paddling pool and sun beds and if you want you can use their feeder hotel where they have a massive pirate ship, sand pit and pool. Entertainment is basic we weren't over impressed as we were looking forward to shows which were advertised then replaced with dancing. If you like watching dancers you will enjoy this. The bar is open 24 hrs within all inclusive. You can get room service with a cost. I hope your holiday is as enjoyable as ours was because I know you will be amazed at his beautiful hotel and fantastic experience.

We stayed in the Steigenberger Al Dau Beach for our honeymoon having read all the excellent reviews for the hotel. We stayed for two weeks in late November. We booked online through a major hotel reseller and upgraded to the honeymoon suite. We contacted the hotel in advance to confirm that we got a free transfer and were told no we did not. A few weeks later whilst trying to finalise my transfer I sent the hotel an email about transfers and was told that I got a free one! Turns out some staff obviously don’t realise. The transfer bus picked us up from the airport and 10 minutes later we were at the hotel. First impressions were quite simply, wow! The reception lobby looked fantastic, we were told to take a seat and the reception staff would come and check us in; we were given a welcome drink and then checked in. We were given directions to our room and told our bags would arrive shortly after. We went to our room and when we arrived we found one of the staff waiting for us there with a honeymoon cake, nice touch. But then the problems started, the key card did not work, neither of them. We stood there looking at the cake boy and he didn’t know what to do, the luggage hop then arrived and the same happened. Eventually having standing on the walkway (open at one side so not air conditioned) for about 20 minutes a maintenance man arrived to ‘fix’ the door. I say ‘fix’ because over the two weeks the lock on the door failed 4 further times, on one occasion having returned from the pool a bit wet we were left standing outside for 35 minutes. This really was a bad point of the holiday. Back to the good points, the room (when we could get in) was huge. Plenty of space, separate wardrobe area, settee, chair and table, mini fridge, kettle, TV and two chairs on the balcony which overlooked the pool and sea. Air conditioning was also provided. The mini fridge was filled every day with complimentary items (beer, soft drinks, chocolate) and there was also a basket of non-chilled items (fruit, crisps and nuts) which was also filled daily. The bed was extremely comfortable and huge, we certainly didn’t want for space or comfort. The bathroom was of a good size with a separate shower and bath. The room was cleaned daily and was of a very good standard of cleanliness. But for the lock issue, the bedroom would have been faultless. We stayed all-inclusive on the luxury package and there is quite a selection of food and drink to choose from, the buffet restaurant served a good selection of food, including a fresh cooking station, there was also one outside too. On a few of the days, food was obviously reused – there were some interesting gratin combinations! There was always something to eat but some meals (lunchtime especially) you felt that choice was a little repetitive. As an aside, during our stay there was a conference taking place, which meant that normal guests had to dine inside for one of the weeks we were there. I understand that the hotel needs to fill rooms over the winter months and a conference is a pretty good way to do it, but the ‘normal’ guests had to compromise as a result. However, certain packages of guests (including us) got to dine once per week at the a la carte restaurants included within their package. Alexanders is the fine dining formal restaurant and the staff there are wonderful and will do anything to make your meal special – the food here was exquisite; Tanga is a little less formal and is on the beach (it’s the beach bar during the daytime) and specialises in Middle Eastern food – not the best I’ve had but OK, service was a little slow at times; there’s a Teppinyaki restaurant where we got to join in with the cooking and the food and service was great whilst the Noodle House has the spiciest more delicious food cooked fresh to order, again service was great. We didn’t try the Sushi. The bars are open 24 hours and you can seriously get any drink you like at any time, and as long as you don’t want premium brands it is included if you’re on the luxury package. The bar staff were fantastic and were genuinely welcomed by all of the staff who all worked so hard to make our stay enjoyable. There’s a nightclub that you get free entry to, but you have to pay for the drinks and the staff seemed a little pushy, so we played a few games of (free) pool and wandered back to the hotel. The gardens and pool areas are huge and you can always find a lounger about, although not necessarily in front of the pool, likewise there’s a lot of loungers on the beach too. Be aware that the beach is the gravelly sort of sand which you really need flip flops or sandals for. There’s a whole host of activities that you can do, although the most energetic we did was the lazy river! As we were leaving, we were given a farewell gift of spices to take home and the staff genuinely wished to see us again, there were a number of guests who we spoke to who were on a repeat visit and it is hard not to see why. Be aware that whilst children were in the hotel, it is geared more towards couples with more families over the road at Aqua Magic. There’s a strip of shops next to the hotel but there selling the usual tourist tat at tourist prices, so unless you want a three foot wooden sphinx then don’t bother. Despite the issue with the door, I would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel and would urge you to book at this hotel and take advantage of the luxury package which is well worth it.

A fantastic hotel that I would highly recommend, this was my second visit and I was not disappointed. A truly beautiful place with great staff and lovely clean rooms. 10 out of 10 and I can't wait to return in the future. A fantastic holiday with no hassle at all from any massage people or spa people, once you say no thankyou that is it. The little lady who gives a fruit juice and a cold towel at the pool side is a beautiful person, I was very glad of that cold towel every day, she is such a sweetheart. The food is brilliant and waiters are so lovely, everyone of them deserves a great praise. Thankyou so much Steigenberger All Dau Beach for a fantastic holiday I wish I could have stayed longer xxx

Room was large and sea view with balcony. Bed was queen sized so plenty of room for two and really comfortable. Mini bar filled every day and room tidied everyday if you wished. All staff friendly and really helpful. Pools, garden and beach areas, beautiful and tidy. Food and drink plentiful and really nice. Had two meals at Alexander's Restaurant, both times lovely food. Evening entertainment outside was good and inside in lobby area on an evening gave nice ambience. If you want a quiet, relaxing, holiday you couldn't want anymore. As it's a German owned hotel the majority of holidaymakers spoke German and the staff spoke better German than English. We enjoyed doing scuba diving through the hotels Ilios Dive Centre. We also went on the Sindbad submarine trip and the Bouduin Dreams quad bike trip being sold fm hotel, both we really enjoyed and were good value for money, we thought. We didn't use the hotel spa as we thought the treatments were really expensive though. All in all fantastic holiday.

We have booked a day use for pool and beach. Check in was very fast and friendly. We were oriented about the facilities although we are repeated guests. Pool area was very clean, pool staff were efficient were they brought the necessary towels, organized our chaise lounges & umbrellas, etc. The beach area is well maintained too. Kids were enjoying the weather, safe beaches and playing happily. Security and safety are definitely outstanding. Beaches are equipped with litter jugs that kept the shores spotless clean & that was a delight to the eyes. The weather was outstanding, the waves were smooth and the music 🎶 was very suitable. I would like to thank all the pool and beach staff for their friendliness ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Everything was perfect perfect room, food, beach and good location. Great green spaces Everything was excellent and comfortable. Wonderful staff They give you help at any time With the nicest smile. This is my second time and I will come back again

1Checking in was very fast and efficient . Our cases were taken to our room within minutes . The room was large and bright with a lovely view of the gardens and pool area. There is free Wi-Fi in the rooms . The bathrooms are spacious with shower cubicle and bath with another shower. There are plenty of 2 pin electrical sockets for charging equipment plus one 3 pin socket. Karam Thabet kept the room spotless and made sure our tea/coffee tray was always well stocked. The restaurant is bright and spacious so there is ample room between tables. The food is excellent with plenty of choice. There are quite a number of different food stations for hot and cold food .The chefs and waiters are very friendly and helpful. The waiter Mohamed Alamir really looked after us at every meal time. At breakfast the waiters bring a thermal pot of coffee or tea and leave it at your table. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained, not a bit of litter anywhere .One of the gardeners would bring a little bunch of flowers to our balcony for my wife. The beach area is excellent. There ample sunbeds with plenty of space . There is a wooden pathway on the beach leading to an area of sunbeds reserved for wheelchairs. The staff on the beach are fantastic. Once you have selected the beds you want they come over with the towels and lay them out on the beds. Mohamed Ahmed asked us our first names and would always call us by them although sometimes he would call Christine and my wife Keith. At about 9.15am a waiter comes round taking orders for drinks from the beach bar. Also around that time the lovely Heba will bring fruit juice to your sunbeds and then later in the morning she will bring ice cold wet flannels. Sometime during the day she will come and clean your sunglasses. The beach bar serves a nice lunch . There are hot and cold buffet stations or you can have waiter service from a separate station. In the Lobby there are two bars, one closes 23:00 ,the other is open 24hrs. We had brilliant service from every one especially Mohamed Gamal and Tawadrous Mohamed Gamal came to us one evening with his mobile and asked if he could take our photo to show to his girlfriend. As far as the entertainment goes, there is usually a piano player or other musician playing in the lobby and something else outside. The animation team are very good and friendly. Adham Catoo (Kato) would come and sit with us on the terrace to check how much exercise my right arm was getting. He wanted to teach me how to become a Fakir and lay on a bed of nails. declined. Best holiday and hotel I have been to in Egypt, and we have been there over 30 times.

Very comfortable hotel, biggest pool i see ever, lazy boat nice, very clean rooms , staff very polite & always have smile Will come again later , food gave too much variety , beach have a lot if fun , shows while having dinner
