The our room was clean and nice. We usually spent our time in the pool. There are we visited darts and sometimes stretching ( Stas) . The entertainment team is perfect. All the days we ate in main restaurant. There are a lot of different food. There are a lot of different high quality food. Also thanks for management.
We bought this week holiday from a friend who could not go and I am glad we did. The hotel is large but still seems personal. Our room was large and clean and the hotel staff are all very friendly. It does take a few days to get to know the routine and there is a large variation in the information available explaining the 'all inclusive concept'. The arabic lessons by the hospitality staff is a great idea, I wish we had found them at the start of our week but they are only announced by the pool. . Glad we came.
We stayed at the Sheraton Miramar resort as the third part of a three centre holiday in Egypt in Jan/Feb. Of course, one of our reasons for going away at this time of the year was to get some winter sun and we got plenty of that. El Gouna is a purpose built resort situated where the Sahara desert meets the Red Sea and is around 20km north of Hurghada. Being located in what is essentially desert, the weather was pleasant by day in the low 20s and there is very little rainfall although throughout our stay, there was a strong Northerly breeze. Apparently this is normal and the other surprise about the weather was just how cold it became at night. When you add the wind chill, you really needed to dress warmly if going out in the evening. So what is El Gouna like? It is a purpose built resort set in a lot of small islands with the sea channelled around them. The islands are interlinked by bridges which have been built to be quite attractive. In fact, the architecture of the whole place is very attractive and there are lots of higgeldy piggeldy passages to explore. The biggest attraction of El Gouna is that the locals are not allowed to pester the Western visitors. After travelling elsewhere in Egypt it was a blessed relief! We liked El Gouna. Obviously, scuba diving and snorkelling are big activities on the Red Sea and El Gouna was no exception however we did not get the opportunity to try these activities because the wind had made the sea too rough. Instead we contented ourselves with exploring the local area. The marina in El Gouna is full of yachts that are clearly in the multi million pound price bracket and the downtown part of El Gouna, although recently built and man-made is quite charming. On one day, we took a local bus ride to Hurghada. The place is far more ethnic Egyptian and if you fancy a culture shock, then take a visit but we wouldn't bother again. Security was very much in evidence and we had to go through check points as we entered the village. There was an airport style arch as we walked into our hotel that bleeped as everybody walked through it and was constantly ignored by bored looking security staff. So what was the Sheraton like? It is amongst several up market purpose built hotel/resorts in El Gouna. In common with the rest of El Gouna it is built upon a number of interlinked islands. We were on an "all inclusive" deal and I have some moral scruples about this type of place but we were still able to contribute towards the local economy. When we arrived, our room had not been prepared and we were happy to find that we had been allocated a suite. In actual fact, this was a bit larger then the standard room and both were generously proportioned. There was a free mini bar which did not contain alcohol although there were bars dotted around the whole place where you could get a drink foc if you wished. You needed to use bottled water to clean your teeth and plentiful supplies were provided, again foc. There was a large pool complex as well as several small man made beaches where those who wished to lounge could do so whilst attended by waiting staff bringing them anything they wished from a quite extensive menu. Notable were the semi permanent wind breaks behind many of the loungers. The clientele were mostly elderly German which was strange because all the notices and menus throughout the place were in English. In the main building, breakfast, lunch and dinner was served in a large open plan restaurant. It was served as a buffet and the quality of the food was entirely adequate although not ground breaking. There was also an Italian themed restaurant that was opened in the evening and had waiter service. In addition there was an Egyptian restaurant on site and this became our favourite. It felt strange not to have to pay a tab after a nice evening meal but we chose to leave a tip each time we visited. So, would we stay there again? I did not have high hopes but we were very pleasantly surprised and I would certainly stay there again although I reckon that there are far more places in the world to visit just yet. Egypt has suffered a downturn in tourism and prices are depressed. If you want a winter sun bargain, you could do a whole lot worse than the Sheraton Miramar.
By the time when in our country is-20, this is a paradise for our family. We are enyoing our stay and kids animator KSENIA is making our stay so much better by entertaining kids, kid parties are the best. Ballejam neguljam. Thank you Ksenia.
Excelent stay in Sheraton hotel. We enjoyed every second with activities offered by hotel and animation team. Our kids adored mini disco and Kseniya from animation team. The food was also perfect and thanks Ahmed for drinks!
Definitely the best hotel of choice for friends and families. Perfect and very beautiful hotel, excellent and varied food, brilliant stuff and outstanding animation team. Special thanks to both Kseniya’s, Snoopy and Stas. There every guest could find what to do, eat and drink. We loved activities: aqua gym, water polo, dances, darts, volleyball, shisha and mini disco and evening shows. This was our second stay in this Sheraton hotel with kids. This time in our company from Latvia was 5 boys and we appreciate that mini disco concept was changed a little bit with special song from latvian band. Boys were sooooooo happy, because that was their favorite song, and will ask come back again. Thank You ALL Sheraton team for amazing holidays! See You again!

I'm in a wheelchair and I found this hotel perfectly accessible via ramps where needed. My wife and I spent 10 days (26th Jan - 6th Feb) at this lovely hotel and found the staff very helpful and kind, security very good, room well looked after, food of a very good standard with very helpful staff, Pool and beach staff very helpful and attentive as well as great reception staff. Overall in my opinion the best hotel in the Hurgada area, and we have stayed in 3 others. Thoroughly recommended for wheelchair bound, as well as able bodied, and we have just booked to go back November What better recommendation
I booked a double room through Booking.com. When I arrived the receptionist was helpful. But unfortunately when I went to the room, it was covered in dust but they managed to clean it fast. The hotel is 15 mins walking to both the downtown and the marina, which is a great location. It has many pools and their own beach, unlike most of the hotels in Gouna. It can definitely be better, I expected much more when I booked. The breakfast is good but I personally didn't like the dinner. Overall the stay was okay.
