Advertised as fully stocked for self catering. Yet pots and pans inadequate. No tray for use in oven. Dust on shelves with crockery. Cleaning did not replace vital stuff. Room nice and bed comfortable but overall a gouge for the price.
Great stay, stayed with 2 couples and 2 babies. The hotel was very accommodating with cots. Beds were very comfy and rooms were spacious. Great location with only a short drive to local wineries. Would definitely visit again
Stayed here 14th November with my mum for a girls getaway. Check in great, room fabulous, view awesome nice pool n gym good value for money. However the Spike Bar n Cafe was disappointing. First it smelt bad. We went for happy hour the young girl was useless unfriendly. I asked what did happy hour entail . She said wines on that list. I looked I had to ask all wines is that the price , she said yes. So I asked again is that happy hour price list no she said it's 20 per cent off. Then served me n spoke to other employees the whole time. Ordered a meal n asked for extra plate to share it came out when meal was almost over. I then asked if they do takeaway deserts at main restaurant. She didn't know ask young girls, they didn't no so she then had to check with chef. Then said only 2 n walked away. So we walked away. 5 star advertising with expensive prices n 2 star staff at restaurants.... Stay here but eat elsewhere they do not deserve your business until they get professional.
i stayed here on my wedding night, the bed was so nice we both managed to sleep in. the staff were efficient and friendly. the room had a great view and was well designed. my only fault i found was a cold drip in the shower from the secondary shower head. will be back to have a longer stay soon.
We stayed in a one bedroom villa with full kitchen. It was a comfortable stay. The kitchen is great with a decent size refrigerator and oven and stovetop. But it’s very under sourced, for example it lacked a skillet and only had pots. That made it tough to make eggs for breakfast. The living area is comfy with a gas fireplace and lounge. The bedroom has pretty shutters but they let in a lot of light. So be sure to bring an eye mask if you wake up easily to light in the mornings.
We had a fantastic room - one bedroom villa. The room was clean and comfortable and the surrounds are lovely. We spotted kangaroos which our English friends loved. Overall, a enjoyable comfortable stay. I would recommend to family and friends.
Being away for a work Conference, I was so impressed with the Hotel and not just the Rooms, but the Grounds were spectacular. My room was a villa, that was so comfortable with separate Lounge and Dining rooms. The Bathroom had a full size spa as well as Shower The Bed was large and comfortable, the They cater for Conferences and Weddings or simply as a place to chill and relax. Did I mention they have an excellent Golf Course as well called The Vines. Thank you Chateau Elan
We had a wonderful stay. The service was outstanding. Our room and the surroundings were fantastic...including the kangaroos on the fairways. Overall incredible..friendly and accommodating. We will definately return.
They openly abuse and inflate their room charges especially when there is a show in the hunter valley. Breakfast was not worth having. Choice was meagre and the pastries were not fresh. Fruit was over ripe or not at all. Poached eggs tasted of vinegar. Bacon was oily and undercooked. Spoil yourself to a lovely breakfast and meal else where. We forfeited our breakfast it was so bad. The rooms are well appointed and clean, but not worth the price you pay. There are so many lovely venues in the area, don't fall for the "resort" imagery of Chateau Elan.
Beautiful, peaceful location. We were in a villa and the rooms are very large and comfortable with outdoor setting overlooking the golf course. Friendly, helpful staff. Easy access to everything the Hunter has to offer. Would stay again.
