Everything was exceptional: staff, food, environment, facilities - all was perfect. Food tasty. Polite staff, able to speak multiple languages and perfect cleaness of all areas. Special thanks to Adriana! She was very helpful in hotel matters and also directed us to some beautiful places we were glad to discover. The welness area would be nice to have it opened without restrictions for the guests of the hotel
This was a one-night stopover for us and it is perfect for that. After a long drive, the welcome was warm and helpful, and check-in very straightforward. There is secure (payable) underground parking if needed, and free open parking too. We had booked a superior room based on hotel photos and description but the room we were given was a dark, attic-room with a window too high to be of any use (or even see out of!). We complained to reception who, because the hotel was near-empty, gave us a much better room with French windows opening on to a stunning view so....be careful with your room selection (see notes). Otherwise, the room was excellent. very large, good quality fittings, double sinks in the bathroom, marble worktops etc. The bed was one of the most-comfortable I've experienced anywhere, with top quality bedding and duvets. The air-con/heating was very efficient. Perfect for the cold semi-alpine climate. Dinner was simple but very tasty (the hotel is quite isolated so eating in is the only real practical option) and breakfast was equally-good. Staff throughout were helpful and friendly. The overall ambience was wonderfully tranquil with the stunning scenery to complement it. There is a golf course 'on site' but this is not owned/operated by the hotel. It looks like it would be fun to play, if not 'top' quality but.....not at the quoted €60 per round...definitely too much, even to enjoy those views. Downsides here? Only two (or three, depending on your preferences). Firstly the Wi-Fi is very poor everywhere. Secondly, the (very nice) spa costs €19 per person which is way too much. Unsurprisingly, it was empty for the duration of our stay. Either include it in the room cost or at least make it 'affordable' if you only want an hour or two to relax etc. The third 'negative' (but a positive in my view) is the location. It is isolated which may not suit everyone but this brings a tranquillity that is hard to find and is perfect for a relaxing stopover.
This should have been wonderful but the staff are way to far into themselves We had dinner in the restaurant on the first night Bad Move way to expensive for what you got in a poor buffet. Other than that Jaca in it self is a beautiful little village with lots of history Sorry I could not recommend this stuck up place golf Spa
We have stayed here many times and choose to because of the tranquil location and warm welcome from the staff. On our last visit dinner in the evening was disappointing, not up the the standard we have enjoyed on previous visits
Arrived in the evening a few days ago for a one night stay. The hotel is located in a very quiet area between Jaca and Sabiñánigo, though it should be better publicized and a sign located at the highway or roundabout should be placed. Anyway, check in process was correct (may be too formal with many signatures and also too insisting on having breakfast the next day as we booked without it, as the price was too high). The room is large, decorated with dark wood and light painted walls, a working table and a TV set on a piece of furniture with minibar. The room looked reasonably clean, though some places were a bit decayed (something usual I've seen in hotels near ski resorts). The sheets were clean, the bed a bit soft, but the sleep quality reasonable. Noise insulation with the neighbours was simply non existent. They arrived quite late, almost midnight and were talking to each other, entered the room, went out, in again, out, rolling of luggage, comments, etc. It was quite bothersome. The bathroom was average in size, but below par in cleanliness. In summary, this is not a 4*, but an average 3*, and has serious areas of improvement. I was expecting much much more from a Barceló.
The hotel is well decorated with a pleasant atmosphere, rooms are well equipped and big. The staff are talking good English and was very helpful. Although the hotel is located 7 minutes drive from Jaca its unbelievable prices make the stay extremely cost benefit during summer,
We stayed here on the way to and from Spain. Staff were very nice and friendly. We ate in the bar rather than the restaurant and that was fine. The pool is lively and there is a nice golf course also with friendly staff. On the way back there was a wedding and staff were very obliging in finding us a room away from the wedding party.
Very good hotel with panoramic views. Very relaxing.A bit out of the way, but that added to the tranquility of the area. Did not have time to use the spa or golf facilities so cannot comment on them.Good value.
Stayed here for one night on our way back from northern Spain to France. It's a strange location, a few kilometres out of the town of Jaca but fine if you just need a good hotel. Everything you would expect from a 4* hotel. Lovely spacious room, very comfortable beds, very peaceful setting overlooking a golf course. We also had dinner in the hotel restaurant. Previous reviews mentioned that dinner was buffet service, but on the night we were there is was waitress service. A very good 3 course meal with great local wine that the waitress recommended. Breakfast the next morning was buffet service and there was so much choice it was fabulous. Would definitely stay here again.
On seeing the pictures of the rooms on both the website and in hotel books that I have they looked really nice, in reality though they are dark dingy rome with dark wooden ceilings , the lighting on the pictures has worked wonders and would have you believe that they are light airy rooms, nit the case, even their best suit has no windows in the bedroom at all only a double door downstairs. So be careful. Only the reception staff speak any English none of the other staff do or have any interest in understanding what you are requesting. I felt the service overall was very poor - this hotel is a very basis 3 star. There is no service offered around the poole area you have to go up 2 flints of stairs and get it yourself. Be careful of the stairs because they are a number of loose cracked tiles that have also broken, obviously needs attention. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was very poor indeed both in the rooms and common areas, we has to ask our maids, who had cleaned our rooms to redo the bathroom as they hadnt moved the bin for sometime. In all my worldwide travels I have NEVER had to pay to use a spa when I am resident in the hotel, this one you do!!!
