We were thrilled to be on the Thunder Bay river. My family likes to fish off the dock. It is shallow at this point and peacful. We were able to use one kayak. The second kayak was too filled with rain.water and too heavy for us to turn over and drain it. The deck is a lovely place to sit or eat and watch the river, except that the seat cushions were soaked with rain water also. I suggest a deck storage box to store the seat cushions when not in use. this will keep them dry and ready for use. The property is beautiful and wooded. The home is comfortable and well equipped, esp. the kitchen. We were able to cook our breakfast each morning, watch movies comfortably in the evening, and sleep very well with 3 bedrooms and comfortable beds. Our host was very responsive and generous, gifting us with yummy Michigan products,goodies. Thank you for a memorable family time in Michigan.
