We stayed in the Pacific House for 3 nights recently. Was a bit disappointed with the cleanliness of kitchen, coffee machine broken, house lay out brilliant! Loved the pool, one of the lights not working in it but the guy came and fixed it straight away, then aircon in liviingroom stopped working again guy came straight away and fixed it, House next door to right getting wood replaced around pool when we were there so there was workmen about second day onwards not much privacy really as houses are open. Loved the location of the house, the fact it was right on beach which we had to ourselves.

Simple kitchen , bad smell bedroom and washroom , broken glass door , smaller pool , old decoration , bad bbq food , air condition problem , no hot water in bath room , no football channel TV . Only the view of the double beach can make me memories.

If you are looking for a nice 4-star or 5-star villa, this isn't it. This is a very very dirty villa which is not run by a professional management. We were supposed to be in the mediterranean retreat villa for 2 nights but decided to leave after spending a night there. An employee asked why we were leaving early and we told her about the problems. She said she would have the manager contact us as soon as possible. No one called. There's a garbage room right in front of the house where the car park is. A guy was leaving garbage bags in fromt of the room right when we were occupying the place. 2 of the 4 bedrooms smell moldy. We found 3 dead cockroaches in one of the bathrooms upstairs on the first day and another 2 the morning later and some fake eyelashes (which we guess belong to the previos guest) by the pool and in the bedroom. Don't believe a thing you see in the pictures. The only thing good about this place is quiet beautiful Pranburi beach and we should have enjoyed it in other better hotels/villas around the area. The place deserves 1-2 stars at most.

These four villas locates at the beachfront near the main road to the beach,so easy to access. Each have a private pool,a large kitchen and a living room beside the pool. Different theme decorations but the same buildings in each villa. Services were on call, but mostly we didn't need anything else. It's like you stayed in your own house, cooked by your own menu for every meals or just went to the nearby restaurants. One large room with a bathroom inside and two connecting rooms with a shared bathroom on upstairs. Another room locates downstairs, may be designed for a driver. Comfortable soft beds,no TV in the rooms, except in the living room. As the time we stayed, somethings were wear and tear, and needed to have renovated. Overall these villas are suitable for a family to spend a precious time together, just come and stay and have all routine activities together, including swimming in the pool and the sea.

This was our third annual family visit to this hotel/resort. It is a hotel with 4 separate villas. Each villa has 3 upstair bedrooms and 1 downstair bedroom. Each villa has its own private pool, a full-size kitchen, and a large living room. Everything was good except it needs immediate renovation. During our stay in Aug 2014, the hotel said that they are renovating the Number 2 villa. The reason we chose this hotel/resort for the past 3 annual visits is because it has a private pool and allows us to bring our dog. However, according to the hotel, they may not allow dogs in the near future. Therefore, we definitely don't plan to stay here for next year's annual family visit. The price of the villa is not cheap. Location-wise, this hotel/resort is located by the beach of Pranburi. You would definitely need a car, otherwise you wouldn't be able to go around. There is a good X.O. seafood restaurant, which is about 8 kms from the hotel/resort. Wouldn't recommend this place unless it undergoes major renovation immediately. There are many newer villas nearby.

We stayed at Mediterranean Retreat villa. This picture-perfect villa was very nice at a glance. Perfect beach, private pool, nice living room and kitchen. It's my dream vacation home to bring family along. I have booked this hotel since Feb for our family holiday in Jul. But once you look closely..This villa do need MAJOR renovation. All the furniture was very old and some may need to throw away. 1. We are group of 9 adults with 3 babies so I phone to inform that we are okay if they charge us for extra bed.The extra bed was set up in the study room but it's not what we expect !! We get only the topper-mattress around 2 inch, very thin and cheap kind of mattress to put on the floor. 2. All doors in every room, especially the door for living room couldn't close properly unless you slam it real hard. 3. Bathroom dirty and smell bad all the time. 4. Air conditioning was old and noisy all night. 5. We have found the electrical outlet on the floor without protective cover! My 10 months old who crawl around everywhere found small rattan basket(rubbish bin) on the floor and she move it herself and once we see what it was used to cover, We all shock! It's electric outlet without plastic cover. How expensive it could cost just to install or fix it properly??? 6. There are also the same problem on the wall which been hiding nicely ?? by the big vase near the mirror. 7. The maid didn't clean it properly, we found some flower icing(from the cake) stuck inside the tissue box ,must be from previous guest. We ordered seafood platter, didn't put our hope high but turn out the seafood was very fresh and nice. The pool is big enough for family to enjoy. The beach is clean and quiet for small children to play. Luckily that we are happy for this holiday together and try to forget all those bad spots in this villa and not much upset about it. Personally, i think it was way overprice for this villa condition even we paid for the promotion price. If it was in nice condition, we are happy to pay full price because you can't beat the location which you can walk to the beach, have big private pool and can accommodate big family stay together in one place. If you could find any similar place like this not far from Bangkok I'd love to know. Overall, it was used to be nice in the pictures from many bloggers and reviews but that all in the past like many reviewer said which i should have read it before paid. We complaint all the above issue to the the staff before leaving and she apologize sincerely and agree not to charge extra person for our group as compensation.(The price condition was for 6 but we arrive with 9) She inform us that they will closed 1 month for major renovate soon, so please make sure before you book that it is renovated!

The villa is beachfront and you can enjoy the beach from most part of the house including your bedroom or pool but i feel like it's a self service. No maid to clean our room or even kitchen during our stay for 2 nights. The villa is quite old and really needs a renovation.

I just came back from this beach front villa today. We stayed at the Scandinavian Villa for 2 nights. I should have read the previous review before we settled on this property. We booked this place a 3 families. The villa looks nice and the space is great. BUT the place is shabby and in need of renovation. The "study room", as they call it, on the ground floor has unpleasant smell. The staff said they would put extra beds in that room but it smells so bad that we didn't even want to use that room. The kitchen is outdoor. It fridge smells and the door is falling apart. Basically, I found the place in the same condition as the previous review. The living room seems nice but you can tell it's not very cleaned. We think they didn't properly clean the place after the previous guests left although we arrived after 15.00 pm. The cushions and pillows seem dusty. We had to sweep the floor to make sure it's clean. The living room door is also broken and will not close. The master bedroom on the second floor has a sea view and big bathroom with a bathtub. I slept in the bedrooms facing the street. The bedroom door needs to be banged to be closed and there was no key for this room so we couldn't lock the room. It rained during our stay so the outdoor kitchen was all wet and humid. I went in a bathroom at 11.00 pm. and was shock to see hundreds of mosquitos in there. It's completely disgusting and the toilet smells the urine the whole time. The hot water doesn't work properly. The water was leaking from the ceiling down to the floor. The room is dusty. We got the rate of 18,000.00 baht per night (no breakfast) which is overpriced for the condition of the place. I called the manager the next morning and explained to her about the condition of the rooms. She politely apologized and immediately sent staffs to fix the problems. I do appreciate their efforts but I think this place needs the be renovated. Obviously they must have known that the living room door is broken and that there's no key for my bedroom. They really need to improve the cleanliness. After speaking to the manager a few times, they did manage to gave us 4000.00 baht discount for the total stay. We are so not impressed with the place. I wouldn't go back there again. Also when they say "extra bed" it's actually a mattress not a bed.

My friends and I travelled from Singapore and HK respectively for a long weekend in BKK and Hua Hin. As we wanted both city and beach experience, we thought that this would be perfect. We stayed 2 nights at the Scandinavian vacation. This was our second choice villa as the Mediterranean was occupied one of the days we were there and we didn't fancy moving around. There were 6 of us and we needed 4 rooms It worked out fine, although one of us had to sleep in the "study room" on a sofa bed, but it had a bathroom attached, so it was ok. Our drive was about 3.5 hours from central BKK. And unfortunately our driver did not speak a word of English and the drive was long and boring (he also got lost a lot). Once we arrived, the view of the beach and the lay out of the villa seemed quite impressive, definitely nicer than the ones we passed on the road in to Le Bayburi. However, on a closer look at everything, one can tell that the villa was not well maintained. Listing a just a few things:- Cupboard / closet doors didn't close properly, fridge door was rusty and broken, the pool wooden flooring was falling apart, the shower by the pool didn't work, there were also problems with the showers in the room (weak spray and inconsistent temperature).... Don't be fooled by the photos on the website. Expectations need to be adjusted! The beach in the area seem dirty and is deinitely not as nice as Phuket or Krabi, although it is quite a long stretch of beach. Definitely still work in progress and much to develop. It is quite a quaint area but I probably wouldn't be back in the area, except maybe for kiteboarding as the beach seems shallow and good for beginners. Upon arrival, the open air kitchen was the first 'area' we walked into and it was mobbed with flies and bugs (we finally asked for a big fan to be put in the kitchen area and the no. of flies reduced, but not completely eliminated. Suggest management build in a ceiling fan!)! It also felt sticky and humid. The kitchen table was in dire need of cleaning. The white walls were also stained and not well maintained. Point to note was that we arrived at the villa around 5pm and the staff only started cleaning (mopping and cleaning the windows) as we walked in. Note that although the villas are supposed to be serviced, they didn't give us the usual Thai service that a frequent traveller to Thailand is used to. We had to carry our own bags up to our own rooms and after our in-villa dinner (catered by the hotel next door), no one came to pick up the dishes or clean up. Its appalling to have to wake up to a dirty common area. I went to the office to ask for clean up at 9:15am only to be told that cleaning starts at 10am. We then decided to hang out at the pool, and found that the mattresses were all soaking wet and no beach towels were provided. When finally given towels, they were small and thin..... (Not what i expected of a luxury villa of this price!) Also, there's no service telephone to call for assistance and the ladies at the manager's office, although very sweet and usually trying hard to help, didn't speak English very well. All in all, perhaps more of a Villa for locals who can communicate their needs and not ready to receive international guests yet. As regards activities, only when we asked, did they provide us with an old folder that had information on what to do around the area but nothing more could be explained. They called for the service provider to come answer questions for us in english and told us, 5 mins , and we ended up waiting for an hour. By the time he got here and explained the activities, it was already too late in the day to join the excursions... We ended up driving to Dolphin Bay (30mins) for kayaking and SUP boarding. At night, we were joined by stray dogs and cats. As an animal lover, it didn't bother me, but I was a bit worried about the cleanliness of these animals.... Anyway, enough about the things to improve (which I hope will be genuinely considered since I see that this villa is being marketed to quite a few international websites recently)... The good things:- the view is stunning and it is right on the beach. Perfect for kiteboarding and other watersports to be arranged. We had wanted to go kiteboarding but the wind only came on the day we left. The pool was decent sized and deep enough with a nice jacuzzi area to hang out with friends and drinks. There's free wifi in the villa, although not strong, was good enough. The common room was nice to hang out w friends, for card games and tv shows. Luckily we bought some DVDs on the way to hua hin. We also enjoyed foot massages and Thai massages that we arranged at the spa hut down the road. We were also offered a free seafood platter for in villa BBQ dining and it was excellent. To be honest, I had no idea what to expect or what was included and we bought extra meats to go with it, but actually there was plenty of variety and it was v fresh. For an extra 500baht, you can get the staff to do the cooking and cleaning up. It was definitely a highlight for us. The seafood platter included shrimps, cockles, crabs, fish, squid. All nicely grilled / boiled. All in all, I don't think I would come back again in the near future but I'm glad I did check it out. P.s. a few of us went on a banana boat behind a jet ski on the last day and thought it was quite dangerous! The water was quite shallow so when you get thrown off the banana boat, you hit the sand bank immediately and my friends landed on top of me! One of us also got bad rope burns from being caught on the turning side of the jet ski. I should have had my second thoughts before hopping on the boat when we saw that the jet ski was operated by a kid no older than 14....

Le Bayburi is great for a weekend getaway trip with friends/family. There are 3 bedrooms and one living room plus an open-air kitchen. The staff was tentative and did not charge us for 2 extra beds. The only bad thing is the price tag, which is very steep but since there were 8 of us, it made sense economically to stay at Le Bayburi instead of having to pay for 3-4 separate rooms in nearby resorts.
