Very nice garden villas, spacious and clean, we loved palms and little ponds with golden fish, beach is 30-40 min walking along the seaside, so better rent a bike (free in hotel), although we loved walking and lost 2 kg each for 5 days we have spent there, which I considered very healthy for us. I strongly recommend to book garden villas, and to book at hotel website directly, because our friends booked rooms in Agoda in big building, which they did not like at all, and they paid 500 Baht more than we did.
Website promised a lot of things but,...no wify..no beach towel..no beach..rooms are very old...staff is very friendly and helpful...even they cannot speak english. Expensive for the money paid, many better resort around probably.
I have good time in this resort though a bit quite in terms of guest. Maybe because it was not the peak season which is good for me. My room is really big that would probably fit a family. Nice big bed with a balcony. I like the sound of birds during the day. Bathroom is good as well with bath and shower and hot water. The only limitation is the wifi which they do not have in the rooms though telephone signal is okay. I gave this a very satisfactory rating
We check-in on 15 April to 17 April very warm welcome and nice quiet room. Cross the road to get to the beach 3-5 minutes walk from our room There is only one issue when we was asked for ride to get to Hua-Ka-Lork beach at 11 am then we arrive at the lobby at 10.45 am the staff said the ride already gone but they manage another ride for us at 11.30 am immediately. So I was very happy with that.
Villa room is wide and clean. I like many tree, fish pool .
This is a quiet place, rather small, with accommodations set back from the sea itself which is separated from the property by a road. You cannot swim in the sea here because of a concrete step barrier which is slippery when trying to get into the water. best to go to a sandy beach further north or south. Breakfast eggs were stone cold so I opted for going to a Thai place up the road each morning. Apart from that, my stay was fine and I slept well with the windows open, listening to the trade winds and waves.
Rooms are good with a nice touch of a robe a really good size though. bathroom could do with a good scrub . Both pools are really nice but as I say a budget hotel is a budget hotel don't expect 5* @ 2* prices but for the price spot on
With some basic revamping, and an actual beach in front, this property would be fantastic. But it’s faded a bit and there isn’t a beach, so it was a 3.5 star property that gets 3 stars from me because of some details below. Price At ฿1200 / night through Booking.com, with list rates that were five times as much, this seemed like a great deal for a resort right on the beach with spacious rooms and chic architecture. As it turns out, the price we got was higher than I think it should have been. Location The location was on the coast south of the quant fishing town of Pak Nam Pran. Based on the description, I was expecting to be on the beach, but the water front is actually a series of cement steps that descend down into some pretty strong waves whipped up by the wind. The windiness of the area did lead to a regular viewing of kite surfers ripping through the waves. The views were great and you can see fishing boats on the water at night, but the wind and the wave were not inviting. There are beaches about 1.5 km north or south of the resort which are a healthy bike ride. The area within walking distance has a few nearby restaurants with “Good View” restaurant being our favorite (over “Very Good Restaurant") Mostly, there are a bunch of resorts nearby, so you’ll need to peddle into town for more variety. There are also a bunch of scooter rental places where you can get one for ฿200 - ฿250 per day to make getting into town easier. Room The room was actually quite nice, if a bit neglected. The architecture was great and we had a view of the Gulf and trees that were a pleasure to observe. The room had great hardwood floors, a desk, reading chairs, and a lounger that were all nice touches. That said, the blinds were stained and there were spots on the wall that would have been easy fixes to make the room better overall. Comfort - Bed: The bed was pretty comfortable and the sheet were clean and fine. A winner. - Bathroom: The bathroom was a split design that had ample space, but there was no hot water in our room. This might have been fixable, but we decided to live with it because we like the room and it was plenty hot out. -Acoustics: This was a shortcoming of the property some nights because the restaurant hosted loud karaoke dinners that got pretty annoying as the night wore on. It was neat to check out for a while, but then it just didn’t stop and earplugs couldn’t stop it either. When it did stop, it was a pretty nice soundscape and the birds in the morning Cleanliness The building is old and a bit run down, but the bedding and towels are clean and the cleaning staff do a good job. Property and Grounds The architecture for the property is pretty cool and it feels like this used to be a really nice resort years ago. (Perhaps back when it had a beach front?) There is a central wooden walkway with really nice landscaping and nighttime lighting that were a highlight of the resort. Beautiful flora and fauna with a long koi fish pond bordering the charming walkway. There are two pools, one overlooking the main road and Gulf on the other side of the road, and one that is in the interior of the property with a great view of lush greenery. Both pools were in good shape and pleasant, although they close exceptionally early at 5 pm. The property also has four free bikes that are a nice way to check out the nearby areas. Staff The staff were all friendly and great. When we checked in, we had booked a double bed and were given a room with two single beds so we asked for one bed. They upgraded us to a better room with a Queen bed and it was simple and easy. They were helpful every time we had questions. And they arranged our minivan back to Bangkok. Safety Never felt the slight concern except for sun exposure at the pool. Wifi There is only Wifi by the restaurant/pool and the hotel lobby. Neither of which is close to our room. The wifi was pretty fast, though. Value Overall, the architecture and grounds felt like we were getting a great deal, but the age, lack of a beach, loud karaoke, and lack of hot water left me feeling like I paid a bit more than it was worth. Transport Tips Getting there from Bangkok took a little effort but wasn’t too hard in the end. From the Victory Monument BTS, walk around to the North side and ask for "Jorrakae Pran" the one with green crocodile logo. They’ll take you directly to the resort for ฿20 extra per seat. They seem to be the only one that takes you to your hotel for an extra fee. We checked four minivan companies and most only wanted to drop us off in town (which is a ฿200 - ฿300 taxi ride from the resort) so keep looking until you find them. Keep in mind that with the mini-vans, you’ll need to pay for an extra seat if you have enough luggage that you can’t fit it on your lap or by your feet (which basically means if you have more than a small/medium sized backpack). Getting to Bangkok from the hotel couldn’t be easier. The hotel staff arranged a pickup by a minivan for ฿200 / seat that dropped us off right at Victory Monument.
Delightful resort. Fabulous space and great location. The area offers a tranquil and welcome break from some of the busier beachside locations up coast. Loved the layout of the resort, and the treetop space.
We booked 2 nights. Love large size of the room but should be renovate in some room, it too old. good location..good staffs my room is close to lobby and car parking but too far from the swimming pool. Be careful for the low price in website, they're not included breakfast.
