We stayed here several times 3-4 years ago and were excited to return. Unfortunately, the hotel (there is no spa, by the way) has deteriorated a lot since we were last year. I remember 3 years ago we were told that they were in the process of doing renovations, though there is no evidence of this. We were told the same thing upon arrival this time. We paid for several nights in advance, and in the end cut our losses as stayed for just 1 night. It was THAT bad. The room was unclean and the balcony unsafe-- we were on the 5th floor, travelling with my young son-- the gaps between the bars on the balcony are wide enough for a child to squeeze through. You have to be on guard non-stop-- scary!! The common areas such as the reception, gardens and pool area were dirty, with garbage floating in the pool and also around the deck area. The pool deck was in poor condition. The kids play area was dirty, unsafe, and broken. Poor reception with the wifi and not much selection on the television. The breakfast was okay, but few Western options. The only good things about Pattawia are the views and cheap eats nearby. Please see our photos for some examples.
Hotel deserted and both hotel and swimming pool taken over by pigeons!!! Dirty, in desperate need of repairs, plaster falling off walls, no hot water, taps hanging off (maintenance came to our room and said it was normal???) staff impolite and as the reception staff speak no English when we spoke with them they could not help, eventually they contacted someone on the phone who spoke English who offered us another room, it was worse!!! We were told that if we were not happy we could leave (at night) great customer service! 4* hotel!!! People should not deal with them, none of the photos are accurate and the next morning the manager told us that this is advertising!!! Breakfast terrible!
We stayed here for 3 days with young kids and we all loved the place. The swiming pool is excellent, food is good and the location of the resort is fantastic. There are also many fantastic restaurants near the resort.
Had booked during the first week of august. The hotel was relatively very empty, infact we hardly saw anyone during the first day. The rooms were spacious and the view was great. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Really had a fun time staying at this resort.
This was my boy's 1st family trip. We decided to go to Pran Buri durint Sunday - Tuesday because I think we wanted to stay privately and it really was. The hotel had few guests to stay then it was so quiet in term of guests' noise but it was replaced by renovated construction around the swimming pool. By the way, it's ok for us because we spent our day time outside the hotel. Overall looking of the hotel is old but room is ok. It is big, clean, and well-equipped with the necessary facilities. If you like breakfast, I recommend you to stay here during weekend because they serve a-la-crate breakfast instead of buffet breakfast. The swimming pool is very big. My kid enjoyed it so much. The price was reasonable, I am ok with this. Overall, it's fine for me and my family.
Pattawia Resort is a large complex situated right opposite the beach. The building is somewhat outdated and in some places in need of repair. But if you go beyond the first impression the rooms are really very nice and comfortable. I had a large tastefully decorated room overlooking a huge swimming pool. The king size bed was comfortable and covered with clean white linen. A/C worked well. There was safe in the room. Water tea and coffee was provided. Cable TV had a lot of English channels. The bathroom was lovely and clean. The shower head worked really well, the towels were clean and the bath was available. Overall good value for money
The hotel is in a very good location...Just cross the road to the beach...I really like the big swimming pool..the trees and garden aeound the hotel...there are so many area within the hotel that bring high privacy and relaxation..The room is spacious, decorated in Thai contemporary style..The super king size bed is very comfortable.. This is a good choice and value for money...
This hotel was rather dated. However, the rooms were really nice. Everything was functioning and clean. Has a bit of character. The pool at the resort was really big and perfect for cooling off or sitting around. The breakfast was pretty much the standard Thai buffet fare, not really worth getting out of bed for. The beach area across from the resort is undergoing some renovations and was not overly appealing. This resort represents great value and I would happily stay there again.
Bed room is ok will all amenities required , toilet is old but functional . The common area us dirty and needs renovation . I called before reservation to check whether renovation was done and whether the pool is usable - on my arrival the pool was dirty and I stayed for 3 nights and still was dirty . Not worth
Having made a reservation via Agoda on the road since we'd gotten a late start from Bangkok to Hat Yai, we arrived a little late in the evening. The entrance was like pulling into a back service entrance, unkempt & uninviting. The staff sent the security guard to challenge us whether we had made a reservation, making us feel even more unwelcome. The reception had no reservation in their system, as it appeared their Internet cable was cut. Through Agoda we had reserved a Deluxe Sea View room, but the staff was reluctant to give us without our insistence. No lighting at the room entrance made the place yet less inviting. The bar /restaurant was closed by 11 on Saturday night, leaving no late night entertainment. The room had no hot water, & very low water pressure. The shower flooded the bathroom floor with the poorly designed bathroom placing the toilet in between the shower head & drain. Even more disturbing was the electrical outlet in the shower area. The room was stocked with poor low class amenities, and had a poor breakfast selection with food sitting unheated in open containers. An Omelette to order had nothing in it. Wifi did not work during the 15 or so hours we stayed. The general condition feels run down--for example, the tiny rusty elevator with dirty plastic carpet looked like a service elevator. For the high price charged, this hotel is a very low value.
