The huge gated neighborhood added 15 minutes travel time to most places, but the area itself is beautiful. When it rained, creekbeds filled up, rivers flowed, and even driving around you could appreciate the natural beauty. It was too cold during our stay to get out and golf (or do much of anything, really), but we were still able to have an enjoyable trip. The house was great for our price (180ish a night), and spacious enough that being holed up from cold weather still made for a great trip. A few things kept it from being a 5-star: The bunk beds were damaged and wobbly, so our kids didn't feel comfortable staying in them. There was no toilet paper other than what was on the spools. We couldn't get the Wi-Fi or the gas fireplace working. The manager, while friendly and easily reached, was unable to address these issues during our stay.
