Staff was incredible as well the surrounding area.
The grounds were beautiful & well kept! The hike to Antelope falls & the pools at the top we’re amazing!
Located in the Mayan mountains. A pretty location. Rooms are two beds and a bathroom and that is it. Very barebones. The Fig restaurant was nice, the food good but overpriced and nowhere else to eat nearby. The staff was friendly. Mosquitos abound. Great zipline experience at the resort.
Excellent service. Good food and drinks. Fun activities. I plan to come again and stay longer.
Tranquil, relaxing and amazing visit! You are in the remoteness of the jungle with the safety of the staff and rooms. The rooms have all that you need and while not a luxury resort, it has all that one needs and is very clean and well looked after. We were lucky to stay in one of the bungalows behind the restaurant and it was huge! There was a screened in porch if you wanted to be outside but not in the rain or at night and not fighting the bugs. The nearby trails were amazing! Some more difficult than others, but each adventurer should have their own adventure so I won't say too much about that... the wildlife is plentiful and if you want a true rain forest experience-- this place is for you! Ohhh and the food was excellent!! The staff always helpful and accommodating-- highly recommend this place!!
We loved our stay here, and are already making plans to go back sometime soon. Our room was very clean and comfortable, the staff was very friendly and accomofsting, and the food was excellent! We did the waterfall rapel and zip line package while we were there, and would highly recommend those activities! Our guides were very knowledgeable, kept us entertained, and did a great job of informing us about the local plants, animals, and insects. I really can't say enough good things about this resort, and can't wait to be able to go back.
There is plenty to do on the property such as ziplining, waterfall rappelling, bird watching, hiking, etc. The zipline was incredible as was the waterfall. It was a hard hike up to the waterfall but it was totally worth it. The staff at Bocawina were outstanding specifically Raina, Carlos, Karim, Roberto and Jose. Some things that could be improved upon are better beds and additional fan in the rooms.
Mama Noots is an adventure -- Central America's longest zip-line (amazing -- our six year old said it was the best day of her life), rappelling down waterfalls (our six year old made it down with a guide), and tons of wildlife and hiking. The staff is also incredible -- Oscar, Wilson, Roberto, Shelly, Amir, Maria, and Emilo were incredible with the kids (top-notch)! It was a great adventure, but you need to keep in mind this is a rustic (no A/C, very clean but basic, one notch above a tent) lodge that is 5 miles down a bumpy dirt road. It is great, the staff is incredible, and I would recommend it even for families with young kids (our kids were 2 & 6). However, you need to pack and use bug spray, and know your are not staying in the Four Seasons. Kudos again to the staff! Even if you don't stay at the Lodge, Bocawina Adventures is great, and I would highly recommend.
