Loved the room. Best view and location on the property.

we can’t say enough about this resort, we are literally at a loss for words, the staff was super friendly and helpful everyone in the resort was smiling and happy to see you one of the greatest experiences by far. And the paddle house restaurant!! No argument, by a long long way world class. We are definitely going back

The room was as it looked online, but the beach and water were not what I expected. Dark, rough sand and the water was not as clear as I thought. The 2-mile road leading to the hotel was a dirt road, full of potholes and the town is very poor and run down. There was construction right next to us so it was load, and the second day, the whole entrance was blocked off due to the construction. The staff was friendly but the food was not what I had expected either.

Just a perfect view of the very calm ocean! The staff was top level. Always happy, friendly and eager to assist! We enjoyed snorkeling, scuba, kayaking in the ocean and zip lining in the rainforest. The swim up bar afforded the opportunity to make 18 new friends. We will plan to return by next year.

Finding the resort was a little tricky. Unpaved roads without signs are common and this place is on one of them. Staff greeting very friendly. Welcomed with a cocktail and sign-in done while sitting in the lounge. They said there was a problem with our room and we were put in the "Owner's Suite" If you have a group, you should try to get this. It was fantastic. 5 bedrooms, and 4 baths, full contemporary American kitchen, laundry, large deck with grill right on the ocean. Nice breakfast buffet. Good limited menu. Several restaurants nearby. We did not go on their "Adventures" which seemed a little more expensive but were to good places. You might trade the ease and convenience for a little higher price. It is located in Hopkins which is fairly remote. It is pretty much an hour trip to any other area due to the roads. People are friendly and you feel safe outside the resort as well as within.

We found the BEST food in Hopkins. Chef Bob was great! Luba Laruga was AMAZING!!! And the best tamales EVER can be found at Berthas on the Hummingbird Hwy.

Everybody we came into contact with was an exceptional person. The bartenders Noel and Charley were as spot on with conversation that was light and fitting as there cocktails were tasty. Larry and Dennis were always around helping you in anyway one could need or just talking to oke about the weather. The hosts Lilly and Cesar at the restraunt were as delightful as could be even if they had to work all day everyday, even when they were slammed they still were delightful people to be interacting with. Everyone at the resort was an absolute delight.

We rented the beachfront casita (stand alone cottage) for 3 nights. The view of the Caribbean Sea was awesome and our unit was spacious complete with double vanity, high thatch roof ceiling, porch with hammock, large shower, and private outdoor shower. The room also had a safe and a water cooler in the room which is a nice touch. They will also custom stock your mini bar upon request. Canoes and bikes are available at no charge and there is a little sail boat there which can be rented alone or with help. The resort has a restaurant on the premises which is comfortable and also over looks the Sea. The food was very good, aside from the Continental Breakfast which I don't recommend. The only negatives were Wifi which was down most of the time we were there, the hot tub was having issues, and bugs. Aside from the normal sand fleas we had carpenter ants in our unit. Marianne, who runs the place and is awesome, switched our room the next day and bought us dinner for our trouble. Very nice gesture and no more bugs in the new casita. That all said, this is Belize, so things take time to fix and if you are there for Wifi, look elsewhere. Overall, we had a wonderful time. We ate in the village a few times and the food was excellent. Check out Gekkos for the best Jerk Chicken and Thongs or Melting Pot for breakfast. Small, shack looking restaurants, but food is awesome. Village has dirt roads, so SUV recommended if you rent a car.

Love this small resort - staff and amenities are terrific. Only negative is the horrible pot-hole ridden Hopkins road. Just go slow and no open coffee cups ; ) If you are a diver - Belize is a bucket-list trip!

They lost our reservation but upgraded us to a suit which was amazing! The staff was friendly and helpful. It is hard to find the check in desk because you have to check into Jaguar Reef for Almond Beach. The beach was beautifully kept, no sand flies our entire stay and swim up bar at the pool! We booked snorkeling through the resort and it was awesome! Hopkins is a quiet little village and Almond Beach is a bit south of the actual village down a bad dirt road.

We ended up at Almond Beach for two days after our trip to the jungle. They didn't have the room we booked upon arrival (blaming this travel web site for selling an unavailable room without checking with them) so we took a lesser room and then they moved us to a suite for the secon night. Staff was nice. Rooms could use some painting. Restaurant was just ok so we ate most meals elsewhere.

we stayed for 12 days and had a truly remarkable time. We hadn't been on vacation in 7 years and decided to go to Belize. The resort was clean, staff was excellent and very friendly to everyone. It would have been nice to see different items on the continental breakfast from day to day and our "king bed" was 2 beds pushed together so one of us had to sleep in the "crack", but they were comfortable beds. This was exactly what we wanted for vacation, quiet, not touristy, friendly and local people and foods that made this a place we will come back to again...soon! Bring the bug dope!

Fantastic small resort on the beach good food and beer .For a week of just relaxing on the beach reading, drinking beer or sleeping this is the place .WARNING...if you are looking for night life eg. clubs ,casinos etc. do not go.

Hi Jersson, Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We are pleased that you chose Almond Beach Resort for your vacation. I am happy that our staff helped to make your stay with us one of your greatest experiences. I will be sure to let them know that their good work is being appreciated. So glad you ate with us and enjoyed Chef Rahim's interpretation of Belizean/Garifuna cuisine and that his love for food art was obvious. We look forward to being able to welcome you back, for another memorable stay to build on your great experiences. Regards
