Very welcoming hosts, lovely cosy cottage for our 2 night stay. We wanted peace and quiet, and needed to get away from everything for a couple of days, and that’s exactly what we had. Everything you needed in the cottage, very comfy bed and pillows. We will definitely return.

Chris was very welcoming on our arrival and gave us some great advice on local walks etc. The accommodation was pristine, certainly lives up to the advertising pictures. Very cosy with everything anyone would need. Fabulous views from the barn which were lovely to wake up to each morning. Local pub just a few minutes walk up the road, very welcoming and serving great food. Would 100% recommend the barn at Mead Farm.

Very clean, well equipped and comfortable for a group of five friends. Appreciated the en-suite bathrooms for each bedroom, and the patio. Only 10 mins walk from the village centre with well-stocked Spar and good pubs (recommend to book in advance, takeaway from Curry Cabin also very good).

First Class Accommodation, beautiful location and Chris was an excellent host.

Being married to a retired government official who was involved in various tourist attractions and on the Board of Ireland and Britain for a spell we were very happy with what was on offer. Definitely a 5/5 - no complaints whatsoever. Perfect.

Great weekend with old friends

Great property , good facilities. Living area not particularly cosy but comfortable , kitchen area a bit small when you have a few adults . House is in a great area for walking from the door and pub a couple of minutes down the road a bonus .

Great location for relaxing, walking and cycling. Lovely property, spotlessly clean with everything you could need for your stay. Within easy reach of many beautiful villages to visit in the peaks/dales. Very welcoming and helpful host. Would recommend.

Fantastic accommodation, great location and the owners were super friendly. There are some great local walks, friend local pubs in walking distance. Great Weekend getaway

We stayed at the Barn for a cycling weekend with some friends. The property was perfect for us, very well equipped and very well presented. The location was great and Chris, the owner couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome. Would definitely recommend.

We booked a late summer long weekend at The Oaks at Mead Farm. From the initial contact, we couldn't fault Chris' attention to detail and communication. We had high hopes for the property from the previous reviews and we weren't disappointed. The property is very well maintained and is perfectly located in our opinion with a number of walks right from your door but still only a 10 minute amble down to the pubs and food in Hope (and if that's too far for tired legs after a day of walking there's also a pub only 200m away). A beautiful location, with everything you could need, what more could you want, we're already working on the next dates we can visit 😁

Perfect property in perfect location

Luxury accommodation with wonderful hosts. Warm home made scones on arrival where the perfect touch. Located close to Hope Village and Castleton both within walking distance. We loved staying here
