If you are looking for a spot that has character this, is it, it was a cozy old place above a pub. We went in the off season, so we had the place to ourselves. Nice little bookshelf filled with some fun activities to pass extra time off devices too! The food in the pub was not great for the price we paid, but the breakfast was amazing!

Lovely hospitality. Excellent food. Best duvet nice and warm duvet I have had when traveling. They go above and beyond to accommodate guests. Perfect get away for some quiet time in a traditional old pub in a small village walking distance from the train station. Right next to multiple hiking paths to famous hill tops.

What a lovely cosy, friendly place to stay. A good choioce for breakfast (full English was delicious using local ingredients) in the dining area with the log fire on. The Cheshire Cheese Inn was a good choice

It was a friendly place to stay with extremely good food especially the breakfasts. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom facilities excellent. It was in a lovely village, with pleasant people in the coffee shops, and a nice walk near the church with a river and horses in a field. only a few minutes away from Castleton too.

Very enjoyable stay at The Cheshire Cheese Inn, staff were very helpful and friendly. We had the evening meal and the food quality was excellent and the service great. Nothing was too much trouble and the team chatted to us throughout the evening. Breakfast the following morning was top notch (my particular favourites being the sausage and bacon).
