Location off beach was lovely. Maintenance in our room was loud and awful, ruined our time at hotel. The decision to remain open shows no considetation for customers.

We liked the view from our room, and the concierge was so helpful getting activities for our trip. Halley was great! We liked all the stuff that came with the room, the only thing that was a little annoying, was the construction around the property. But we know that stuff has to be done , thanks for the great vacation

Great stay, hotel was clean and quite. The view is direct ocean front and absolutely beautiful. The queen bed wasn’t the best, definitely recommend getting the king size bed. Other than that, amazing place to stay short term or long term.

The property itself was fine - we had stayed here back in 2015 and revisited again for a 10-day stay in Nov 2020. The condo was great - oceanfront, well furnished and upgraded. What marred our stay was the lack of cleaning services, which is in contrast to how it was advertised on Orbitz as having professional cleaning services. Honestly that's why we picked this spot instead of some other hotel. There are no state or county regulations that prevent room cleaning services, each property decides on their own. If it was made clear that there would be no room cleaning during our stay, we would have never booked it. Or we would have broken up our 10-day stay into 3 separate 3-day stays so that we would have had the cleaning done between each stay. There is no sense in stating that rooms will be cleaned between stays but not during stays. And then when we requested a cleaning, they stated they'd make an exception since we had a long stay and cleaned it after 3 days (as would be sensible and consistent with their 3-day minimum stay). And then when we requested a second cleaning after 6 days of stay, they once again gave us a big spiel that they didn't do that and finally caved and agreed to do it but not without some gratuitous "you're the only ones asking for this" response. However, they had agreed to do it and we left the room for the day and when we came back nobody had worked on it. The guy at the front desk just got confrontational instead when I asked why not. Madness!

We love the Mahana. It is the one place we can't wait to stay. It feels like our second home when we come to Maui. Ocean views are amazing. Property is nice and quiet and staff is friendly and welcoming. Always clean and beautiful in every room I have had the pleasure to stay in. We had a beautiful room with a mountain view on one side and ocean on the other. The lani is larger than most and are nice and private. I can't wait to visit again. We will see you at the Mahana again soon. Mahalo for a wonderful, comfortable and beautiful place to be in Maui!

Aloha and my apologies for the challenges you experienced. As a travel company I wanted to reach out to the on site team to see if they had any information to share but not being able to associate a name with your review made it a bit difficult. The Mahana has been and will be in an exterior repair program which, as a condo, is run by the homeowners association. The rental units on site management team has done a wonderful job limiting occupancy to their units in the section not affected by the exterior work. With the big bump in summer demand, this has been a bit more difficult to manage and they have, on occasion roomed guests in the area the work is being done. They have also offered those guests upgrades in room type/category. What I recommend to all guests at all properties whenever you encounter an issue with your stay, raise that right away with the on site staff and I have every confidence in those team to do all that is possible to address any issue. This program has been ongoing for most of the year and as the bulk of our reviews would indicate, every effort to insure a wonderful stay is being taken....and will continue. We appreciate your comments and the on site team is aware that your stay was not up to snuff. We deeply regret we were not able to serve you better during your visit. Thank you for your review and for staying with us. I am pleased to know the room was nice but disappointed that the services did not. While covid has stretched and stressed us all it is not an excuse for service attitudes. Since the Gov. reopened Hawaii in mid-oct and with the recent spikes in the mainland in cases this fall, island Mayors and properties have amended policies to adapt somewhat on the fly. Kauai, as and example decided to close to visitors even with the tests showing covid free as the State mandated. Property housekeeping has changed and will change from time to time with circumstances as management endeavors to protect visitors and staff while complying with State and Local mandates. It is my job to communicate those changes and I am sorry I failed to update you before your visit to the most recent changes. My travel company has implemented notices that are shared with each new booking that reflect the current property policies and will continue to notify all who have existing reservations as soon as we are notified of any changes. We hope to have another chance to serve you and please let me know if I can be of any assistance. Mahalo

We love the Mahana. It is the one place we can't wait to stay. It feels like our second home when we come to Maui. Ocean views are amazing.
