++ Central location near MTR, very spacious room -- Lots of crowds Booked Royal Park for the 4th time during our 6 night stay in Hong Kong for a family of 4. We always seem to return to this hotel because of the location between NT and Kowloon/HK island. If you need to go to both places then choose Sha Tin as your temporary home. And if you choose Sha Tin, in my opinion there is no better place to stay than Royal Park. Decent hotel with lots of spacious rooms right in the middle of Shatin Center. Pricewise its very good, you get a lot for what you pay. The hotel has an indoor swimming pool which extends to outdoor, so the best of both worlds. Location: Hotel entrance on first floor exits right in the middle of YATA foodcourt, which is part the biggest shopping center complex in Sha Tin. So if you like shopping this location is ideal. What is not so nice are the hoards of people everyday planning to do the same. Try going to the smaller shops and streets outside for a more relaxed feel. MTR is 6-8 min walk from the hotel through the shopping center. Room: We had a family room with a double bed and a single bed, Size is very spacious especially considering you are in HK. Decent good size bathroom. We did not have breakfast there as you have a lot of choice just by going outside into the many shops and restaurants. Also lots of bakeries nearby. Tip: Sign up as Royal fan and you get extra discount on your room. We've booked ours in advance and it saved some. We are a big fan of Royal Park and will be returning some time in the near future.

Spent a night at this hotel in transition, and my 2nd time staying at this place. The first time was good, as we were at much higher floor, and I believe we were upgraded to an upper club with its own lounge. I chose the hotel again because of close proximity to my relatives and train. This time around, because I'm only staying 1 night, I was at lower floor, which the room was quite old and run down. I would rate this 3 star at best. Check-in was fast as I arrived late in the evening. Got up to the room and decor was quite aged, which the washroom tub faucet was quite loose, and water pressure wasn't very strong. However; everything was clean and pleasent. Although the the room was a 3 star, I was charged 5 star price, so I don't think it's worth the money. Next time I would rather stay somewhere else in Kowloon (Prince Edward) instead.

We had an excellent stay at the Royal Park Hotel from the 25th to 29th December. The Hotel was at a very convenient location close to all the attractions and shopping. Staff was very friendly and professional. A very special thanks to Lewis Lee (concierge) without whose assistance we would have been a bit lost. Lewis was very friendly and always gave us the right directions and suggestions during our stay.

We stayed in the Executive Suite on the 16th Floor. Check in was on this floor, so avoided the queues on the ground floor. We were a group of 4, so had interconnecting rooms. Buffet breakfast was included at the 2+2 cafe on the 3rd floor, or you had the option of a more private breakfast in the Executive lounge. Canapés & cocktails at the end of the day were also a bonus. Had lovely views over the Shin Mun River & don't miss the stunning gardens to the right of the hotel. We found the staff fantastic, especially Jason in the Executive Lounge. Nothing was too much trouble, &he was very good at providing any information that we required. Will definitely be back.

I have been to Hong Kong and the Royal Park Hotel since mor than 7 years. The rooms, the service and the quality is really good. Especially Jason from the upper floor desk and Hasan are more than service oriented once you need to have solved an issue. But also the other staff are really customer oriented - so in total a good place to feel "home"

With so many trips to Hong Kong, I have never been to Shatin. If not for my job, I would never have known that such place exists. Staying in Royal Park Hotel was a good choice as it is conveniently located in the heart of Shatin, easily accessible to MTR Shatin station as well as New Town Plaza, which is the largest shopping complex in Shatin offering a comprehensive range of shopping, recreational and entertainment facilities with over 400 shops and cinema. On top of that Hotel is just 30 minutes from China by rail and 40 minutes from the Hong Kong International Airport. Executive Room was spacious with twin or double bed satisfying the comfort of the guests. Simply love the writing desk area and sofa resting area, it comes in handy for us who wants to work after business hours. With about 4 nights at the hotel, in terms of amenities and cleanliness, I must admit that I'm pretty satisfied.

The hotel is located in the country side of Hong Kong. quite easy access by bus from the airport and next to a big mall. We stayed at a family room with two big bed. The room is spacious and tidy. The decoration is kind of old and sometimes a little bit damp but its okay. The chk in process is quite long though very long queue at the chk in time which is 3pm by the way. The front desk staff Irvin is very helpful and welcoming. He helped us to arrange a better view room. The two big bed room is enough for us four to sleep. The mall next to the hotel is pack with all the things you need, restaurant, shops, etc. I would recommend others with children or family to stay. And the POOL is nice and big which is great comparing to other hotel we've stayed in Sha Tin area.

The executive floor of Royal Park Hotel in Shatin has been my favorite ever since I discovered it a few years back. The staff on the 16th floor executive lounge has been most helpful during my every stay there since 2014, particularly Jason Cheung. He is courteous, polite, knowledgeable and always actively offers his help whenever a need arises. That really helps when you are looking for advice on something of local nature you are unfamiliar with. The room is spacious, clean, fully stuffed and comfortable, with nice view of the Shatin river and vicinity. The location of the hotel is close to MTR, just a short 10 minutes walk through the shopping mall where most of the name brand stores are anchored. You can't ask for more.

We had a great 3 night stay at the Royal Park Hotel with our 2 children. We loved the location being close to the park and shopping centre, everything we needed was on the doorstep, and it was very easy to get into the city either by bus train or the complementary shuttle bus. We found the concierge staff very friendly and helpful especially Lewis Li. We spent a wonderful day cycling along the coast using the complementary bikes provided by the hotel. The swimming pool was fantastic, a lovely way to start or end the day. All in all a great hotel for a family, thank you.

First impressions of the hotel was not good. It was packed with groups of people from mainland China and the check in line was long and slow. The desk clerk was so busy, didn’t even bother greeting us, had his eyes on the computer most of the time. We had prepaid and requested early check in which was obviously not available. Most hotels we’ve stayed at would at least acknowledge our request and apologize for any inconvenience. This guy couldn’t care less, just said come back after 4pm with a passport to get our rooms. Next. But the bell desk guys were very courteous and helpful in securing our bags for the long wait. When we came back at 4pm, another long line to get our rooms! Advice- don’t bother waiting in line if you’re early, you’re better off storing your bags and check in at 4pm otherwise you’re doing it twice. Our connecting rooms were supposed to be non-smoking. I say supposed because 1 of the rooms reeked of cigarette smoke! Either they just converted the rooms to non-smoking, or the previous guests smoked up a storm in there. As busy as they were, I didn’t bother trying to get another 2 rooms, was hoping the smoke would clear up after the fan ran for a bit. No such luck,it stayed smoky. We got the double double rooms so at least they were spacious. Good thing they give you slippers because the carpet was old and dirty, and my husband had to wipe up some sticky goo off the tile floor just outside the bathroom. Our kids in the next room didn’t even want to bother unpacking for our 2 night stay. If it wasn’t located at the shopping mall and close to all the transportation, I wouldn’t have booked there. Based on our experience, I’d say go elsewhere unless the hotel location is your top priority.
