The location is really good, connected with shopping arcades and Shatin Station. It is easy to find different style of cuisine nearby and I have a lovely time in the pub, you must enjoy your happy hour time. The pricing is lovely with enjoyable environment. And the room sizes are in good size, not small. Those staff are helpful and polite and I would recommend to my friend to stay during their travel in Hong Kong.
Spent my weekend with my wife. The room was cozy and with a nice riverside view. The bathroom was spacious. We had all our meals in the hotel restaurant. All served in buffet style. They had very good curry, though other food was rather mediocre. We didn't try the half outdoor half indoor swimming pool. But we had some fun riding along the riverside (the hotel has free bike rental). We were glad to have late check out so that we don't need to queue at the check out counter during peak hours. Will visit again and try the swimming pool next time.
The room is clean, the staff is very helpful and polite. Location-wise it's close to a big shopping mall where you can get everything you need. You can get to the MTR station within 5 mins walk. Would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.
This is our third year coming to hk in the summer and staying at this hotel. This year we are very disappointed with this hotel. Firstly we notice rooms are damp and the air conditioning is either freezing when it's on and it can't be adjusted or we have to turn it off and then it gets too hot. Room making service is poor too compare to other years. Sheets are not change daily, they just flip it the other way round and straighten it. They even rush you in the morning for them to make up the room , maybe that they can finish early and go home. Very disappointing stay this year. Probably choose another hotel next summer holidays.
What a great hotel in Shatin, Hong Kong. The rooms are a really good size and super clean. Rooms include a safe, fridge, free bottles of water etc. Might be worth asking for an extra pillow if you like two. Also the shampoo, conditioner and body wash are 3 in 1, so maybe worth taking your own (we used it and it was ok). If you decide not to have your room cleaned you receive a voucher aprox. $50 towards breakfast, which is great, however, we found out the cleaners may not be paid if you do this. (They were so lovely and kind we decided against it). The hotel is inside a shopping mall which is fantastic for shopping and restaurants. There is a Japanese supermarket and small food places a stones throw away from the tunnel, near the hotel restaurant. On the ground floor of the mall there are numerous restaurants are cafes serving Italian food, burgers, jacket potatoes/sandwiches etc. A five minute walk through the mall takes you to the underground which is so convenient to travel all the famous places in HK and if you are going to mainland China it's great for the train station. The bus station is next to/underneath the mall where you can catch a bus directly to the airport or Disney Land (although you may need to catch two buses to DL depending on the day). Would stay there again:)
Try a Hoegaarden rose. Ask for 1 as this serving is massive. Sweet but refreshing on a hot day. Cute pub full of locals. Mix it up and chat with a local have a great night. We all want to share stories
Really enjoyed the location as the hotel was next to a delightful park, cycle routes and interesting temples and the wonderful Heritage Museum and an easy bus ride from outside the hotel to the Art Museum in the Chinese University of Hong Kong. During a short stay there was loads to do and see. The hotel was very convenient and 5 minutes walk through the shopping mall to the metro as well as very easy access to buses. Took a bus from the airport direct to Shatin which took approximately 40 minutes. The room was very well equipped and comfortable and the bathroom was excellent. I would thoroughly recommend including breakfast as there was a large selection of different types of breakfast and the quality was good.
I booked 2 rooms for my clients from China for 5 days, 4 nights and I helped them check in. Was very impressed with the front desk lady. My client had baby and a cot was prepared for her. Unlike the Excelsior hotel at HK Island which was far more expensive & lousy service, I highly recommend Royal Park Hotel who wish to have a pleasant stay in HK.
We have a short holiday (2 day 1 night) in this holiday. The service of the holiday staff (front desk, hotline) are satisfy. For the service of the breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner buffet in their 2+2 cafe. We have the following comments: 1. The air conditioner is not function well. We are sweating during these supplier. We have already ask the waiter to make the temperature cooler. But, they said that that's the coldest temperature in the cafe. 2. The waiter and waitress always chatting. I have tried to wave my hand for more than a minute. Unfortunately, they just focusing to chat together. 3. The buffet is not include any soft drink, such as coke. You need to pay for extra payment. 4, The washroom inside the restaurant does not have any paper towel. This is creating a hygiene issue after wash the hand and open the door of washroom. Inside the room, it's nice. And, there're some improvement area 1. Our room has the noise of machine but it's not come from air-conditioner. During at night time, it is a bit noisy when switched off the light. 2. I have tried to make a call to the operator about where's the swimming pool, she just answer me so casual. The communication skill need to improve and to be politely
Stayed here for one night a I was transiting through Hong Kong. Chose this hotel as it is attached to a very good shopping centre where I wanted to get a good retail fix without tiring myself out. I took a taxi from the airport to and from the hotel and that costs $300HKD each way. The hotel does offer a shuttle service which is slightly cheaper. The hotel does seem to pride itself on service and once I got there someone was helping with my luggage out of the taxi and directed me where to go. Check in was smooth and seamless. I arrived early as my flight landed at 6am. So I took my time at the airport, had breakfast and then got to the hotel by 9:30. It was less than 30mins from airport to hotel. Understanding that I was early, I knew that the chance of getting my room was slim. The staff said unfortunately the room was not ready and if I could come back later. They have a place where your luggage can be stored. So I stored my bags and went loafing around the river area nearby. I came back two hours later and I was in my room before midday. I had a king room on level 15. Walking in, I was amazed at how neat and well laid out the rom was. Large spot to place suitcase, a table, little couch and large comfy bed. The TV has many channels to cater for any language. I was glued to the HBO channel. Bathroom was large and well stocked with everything you would need. I very comfortable room and I enjoyed staying in there. After a long haul flight from Vancouver, it was great to be in a room where you did not feel like you were in a prison. The pool is huge and there was plenty of space to do laps and relax in. They provide separate change rooms with lockers and showers. The gym has several machines to work up a sweat. The steam room was nice but needed a timer. I ordered room service from the menu in the room. After a few language issues we got the order in. Maybe they could number the options in the menu. Easier for everyone to understand, "I will have no 10." The food came quickly and tasted great. It comes from the restaurant on level 3 of the hotel. The hotel does seem to be filled with Chinese tourists but it wasn't noisy or over crowded as some other hotels. You can access the New Town plaza directly from the hotel as they are connected. So in there you have more dining options and a great selection of shops to get a retail fix. They have checkout at 12 and you can request a later checkout until 6pm for $550HKD. The MTR is easily accessed via the shopping centre as the hotel, shopping centre and MTR are all within the same complex. Via the MTR you can get into the main areas within 30 mins. I had a great stay and will easily stay there again if I am in HK in the future.
