Cozy rustic cabin

The location of this cute cabin was perfect for our two month ski trip. The cabin had a well appointed kitchen and everything you need for a long-term stay. We enjoyed walks to the beach and along the lake bike trail. We will definitely be returning to this cabin.

Fun place to stay

The house is warm and comfortable. Kitchen cabinets and dishes are very hard to reach. Cabinets are too high for anyone under 5’6”! Glad my tall daughter was with me! Lots of pots and pans need to be replaced. Many are used & abused. No dishwasher but handwashing is not too bad. The stairs are very steep so beware if you have an elderly person staying with you. Other than that, the cabin is a lovely place to stay.

Relaxing Stay

Our visit to Yvette & Paul’s cabin was iffy with the Caldor Fire but we were able to enjoy one week there. We had four adults and the accommodations were perfect. Yvette & Paul are always gracious hosts and we have stayed at their cabin 5 times now. We will be back again next year.

Great Getaway

Had a wonderful time in Tahoe Pines! Yvette was the perfect property manager … providing great recommendations for nearby restaurants and local hiking trails and answering questions/requests super promptly. Location was wonderful … a quick walk to the lake, quiet neighborhood and situated within a short driving distance to Tahoe City for groceries and Emerald Bay for hiking. Cabin was the ideal size for the four of us plus our pooch and outfitted with everything we needed for a great stay.

Cozy cottage, great location, fabulous owners!

This was the perfect get away for my husband, dog and I after being cooped up in our home for so long this past year. The house was appointed with all the necessary comforts! The beds were comfortable and the shower nice and hot. They even had bath robes in the closet. Yvette was very responsive and even came over to help us with the TV set up. I set up my business office from the comfort of the dinning room. Due to the location and tall pines the cellular reception was spotty as well as the wifi. This was largely rectified by the wifi extender which we brought and which Yvette purchased from us. It was a lovely stay, and within walking of the beach and some of the loveliest trails in the area. Nice and friendly neighborhood 10 minutes south of Tahoe City and 10 minutes north of Emerald Bay. All in all an excellent stay!

Cozy and clean with tons of character

Fantastic cabin retreat in an ideal location! The cabin had all of the comforts of home, was spotless at check-in, and was absolutely as advertised. We stayed for a week with our two elementary school-aged kids and had a wonderful time. Yvette was incredibly helpful, responsive, and ensured that we had a hassle free check-in and stay. We happily cooked in the well equipped kitchen, enjoyed the board games and the fireplace, and spent our days exploring the nearby ski mountains, hiking, and taking walks through the quiet and friendly neighborhood - as an added bonus the cabin is walking distance to the beach and a kid-friendly hike (Eagle Rock Trail) with some of the best views of the lake and mountains. We can't wait for our next visit. Thank you Yvette and Paul for sharing your home. It is a special place.

A big thank you to the home owners for providing a very comfortable, quiet, and cozy get away. The cabin was very clean and we enjoyed looking at all of your mementoes. Very nicely furnished, well equipped and well maintained. I only wish the back deck and yard presented as well as the cabin. I would definately recommend this charming cabin.

Cozy cabin, wonderful host

We stayed in Yvette's cabin for six months and loved every minute of it. The location is ideal. It's just about a 7-minute walk to the lake (even with a toddler in tow), or, if you turn the opposite direction, about 10 minutes to an easy hiking trail through a beautiful mountain meadow. The cabin is just what we would expect from a cabin in Tahoe: cozy, family (and pet) friendly, and close, but not too close, to the shops in Tahoe City. And Yvette was a wonderful and accommodating host. She was super responsive to any needs, recommended places to go, and was very respectful of our privacy. She even delivered an amazing cake, twice. I worked remotely during our stay, and the only downside was the Wi-Fi. It was spotty throughout the day, and my hotspot also wasn't the most reliable, though there is an amplifier in the cabin. Yvette did everything she could to improve the reception. But the coverage and options are fairly limited in Tahoe. Overall, I can't recommend this cabin and the host highly enough. It felt like home, and we were sad to leave.

Great Getaway Location

Yvette and Paul always provide a comfortable cabin in the woods. With our dog Molly we had everything we needed. The cabin stays very comfortable even on cold evenings and there is always the gas fireplace if you need to warm the place up. The location is perfect and only a short walk to the lake with a small accessible beach. It is close to Tahoe City for restaurants and shops and close to Homewood, Squaw Valley, and Alpine Meadows for skiing. We have visited three times over the last 5 years and will be back.

A Quintessential Lake Tahoe Cabin

Early morning dog walks along the Tahoe Trailways Bike Path. Easy access for kayaking, boarding, swimming, and lounging on the beach. Evenings were on the back deck listening to "nothing" while eating dinner and drinking wine. Playing cards on the dining room table. My family could not have asked for a better location as the perfect respite for the chaos in our everyday lives, unplug, and reconnect. We were fortunate to work in a trip to Reno for Hot August Nights; Tahoe City for rafting; and attend the Concours d'Elegance Wooden Boat Show at Obexer's Boat Company in Homewood. This quintessential Lake Tahoe cabin will check all the boxes if you're looking for a traditional, quiet, and well kept "home away from home." Thanks to Yvette and Paul for their hospitality.

We enjoyed a relaxing weekend in this lovely little home in a quiet neighborhood. The cabin has everything you might need, and many small touches make it feel like home. Cute, rustic cabin with ideal location for exploring Tahoe and relaxing

We stayed at the cabin over Christmas with our older dog. Pros: it was exactly what we were looking for in terms of location and the rustic, cabin feel. Yvette was very responsive to messages and brought us a delicious bundt cake on our first full day. We arrived in the evening rather than afternoon due to traffic, and Yvette left the lights on for us and a bowl of water out for our dog--unexpected and very helpful! The location is walking distance to the lake and Eagle Pass Rock and the trip to the top of the rock was doable with snow on the ground even for our 12 yr old dog. We were given approval for bringing our small artificial tree, which definitely gave some Christmas cheer to the cabin for us. (Minor) Cons to keep in mind: the stairs to the upper level bedroom are steep enough that our dog couldn't climb up them--we carried her up the first night, and after that just slept in the downstairs room. The wifi is iffy depending on location within the cabin...overall this wasn't an issue for us during our stay as we came to relax and unplug, but an unexpected work issue for me during the holiday necessitated some help from Yvette in getting a connection established so I could take care of a few things. Overall we enjoyed our time at the cabin and found it to be very relaxing! We were already talking on our drive home about coming back in the fall to see the autumn leaves.
