The Haven was clean with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom with excellent water pressure. We had a lovely view of the harbor. The area was quiet and felt safe. The host was warm, helpful and welcoming and even helped us with storing our excess luggage. We enjoyed popping over the the pub next door for a nice dinner before having a restful night. Would absolutely recommend!

Great little hotel. Very clean and well taken care of. Right by the ocean, and walkable to the ferry and train terminal and to pubs in downtown Galway. The owner/host, Phil, was very friendly and outgoing. I recommend this place!

It was necessary for me to go downstairs to ask assistance with getting hot water for a shower. Even when the proprietor came up, the water ran and ran and ran before becoming just about tepid. Not a comfortable shower at all. My room was at the top of the house accessed by a very narrow stairway behind a fire door. There was a very frightening person digging through the trash outside, screaming obscenities.

Loved our stay here. The location is close enough that you can walk from the train but our hosts also provided a drop off at the ferry for us. Our room is lovely and clean. Everything we needed.

We spent one night here before catching the early ferry . Room was clean and bed comfy.Great location a few minutes drive to the port.Host was very welcoming and gave us good tips for our evening meal. We had a lovely walk along the promenade to The Boathouse Inn which has great food at reasonable prices and a quiz on a Wednesday which we won! Would definitely stay again when catching the ferry.

Hubby and I stayed for just one night on a road trip. When we arrived Siam was there to give us a very warm welcome and show us to our room which was very good value for a standard room. We didn’t stay for breakfast as we needed to leave early but we did meet Phil and he and Sian make wonderful hosts - welcoming, warm, friendly and super helpful. During an incredibly frustrating issue with Expedia Sian spent a long time on the phone with them assisting me. Both Phil and Sian are genuine, honest hosts who clearly put their customers first. We totally recommend the Haven Guest House, it’s a stone’s throw from the ferry and easy walking distance to both the shops and Harbour. It’s good value and you’ll be in great hands

Phil, the host is very friendly and helpful. His B&B is very clean and convenient to the ferry. Our room was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was not the best but we did not order the hot breakfast so maybe that is better. I would book here again if returning to Holy Head.

We were on top floor, room 7. It was quiet and if there were other guests, we didn’t hear them. It would be a tough climb up the stairs for people with mobility issues. Host offered to take luggage up but we managed as we travel light. Nice pub next door; 2 good fish and chips nearby and the maritime museum that has an excellent bistro is within walking distance.
