(Please contact me before you book, this is the first of my 3 flint cottages I have on Vrbo in central Blakeney Pimpernel & 21a) Jollyboat cottage is Situated in the very heart of Blakeneys’ High Street, set back 30 metres from the road. Near the Quay,Moorings restaurant, pubs, bakery, gift shops, gallery and coffee/tea room JollyBoat is a perfect romantic retreat for a couple, I also get many lone travellers and repeat guests .2 magpies bakery and coffee shop is just 50 metres away on the quayside. Fabulous breakfast /lunch in there. Fresh bread to take away and the biggest piles of croissants and all things lovely on their counter ! Such choice. The White Horse ‘gastropub’ and The Moorings restaurant are also on the high street ,not forgetting The Kings Arms on Westgate Street .Birdies on the quay do a mean burger - (my fav,)The Spar shop sells everything you’ll need and has a post office and cash machine .
This cottage is a lovely base to get away from it all for a well-deserved break! We allow 1small/medium size well behaved dog . My sofa will need completely covering please. There is a Pet gate on stairs as NO DOGS UPSTAIRS and no dogs left unaccompanied, sorry. Clean your dog before entering the cottage .(A medium sized Crate is provided.)I will always ask if you’re bringing a dog .
The downstairs area at JollyBoat offers a double height, open-plan kitchen and living space. The kitchen is a good size, with a peninsular providing a dining area and additional storage. The bedroom offers comfortable sleeping accommodation, with a double divan bed and drawers/hanging. Travel cot in bedroom & towel airer .
The glass arched doorway leads to the en-suite shower room with walk in shower, W.C. and small basin. Please note that the shower has a sloping ceiling above, which taller or larger guests may find restrictive and bifold door, step up to the basin& wc. It can be restrictive to older or less able guests .The Cubicle is quite small also.
JollyBoat has space for two chairs on the yard, perfect for sitting in the evening warmth enjoying a glass of wine after a day of exploring all that North Norfolk has to offer. Perfect bolt hole for the entire north coast.

Comfortable, welcoming and classy. Exactly as described and an easy walk to the coast. Easy to park nearby, too. Spotlessly clean, all the gadgets and amenities you might require. Host was quick to respond to queries and clearly available for help if needed.Compact accommodation, but did not feel small, despite us both being over six foot.Loved our stay. Perfect location to drive east and west to North Norfolk’s best bits!

A Short Break

Very good, but the otherwise ingenious installation of the toilet facilities were rather claustrophobic to use and negotiate

Lovely getaway

The cottage was situated in an ideal location, just a short walk down the high street to the quay. There is pub/inn just a couple of hundred yards down the road and a nice bakery on the quay. The cottage was well kitted out and we had everything we needed.

Charming cottage in a charming village

We loved our stay here. The cottage is clean and comfortable, excellent location and Sophia was accessible and responsive before and during our stay. Great kitchen. Blakeney is a small village but many great restaurants and many walking paths nearby. A very restful and peaceful place.

Pretty but Cramped Cottage

A pretty & nicely furnished cottage but in kitchen area, surfaces were cluttered & cupboards full, leaving no space for guest provisions. Bread board needs replacing! Hated the dog crate in the living room & other dog-based stuff, along with the recycling bin. Upstairs was far too cramped for us, especially washing & showering, with a dangerous step (which we fell over). Nowhere for towels & no wardrobe in the glass-fronted bedroom. Drawer liners recommended, please, along with filled soap-dispensers. And please instruct how to turn on TV! Parking was a pain.

Jollyboat Stay

Jollyboat is a beautifully restored cottage, tastefully decorated and extremely well equipped. The location was perfect and it provided a good base for walking the Norfolk Coast Path and catching the Coasthopper bus. We met Sophia, our helpful and hardworking host who was a source of local knowledge. The lack of outdoor space was made up for by its location 100 metres or so from picturesque Blakeney Quay.

Relaxing stay

We loved staying at Jollyboat Cottage with our dog. It is in a lovely area and just a short stroll to the pub, restaurant's and the harbour. We enjoyed a lovely long weekend and it is easy to get to the fabulous beach at Wells which is a short drive away. The cottage has been really nicely decorated and everything has been thought of. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Had a lovely short break the cottage was spotlessly clean. Sophia kindly provided milk, butter and jam. The bed was very comfortable. Will recommend to friends and family.
