High quality lodge in secluded field

Situated in our secluded wildflower meadow, Raleigh Lodge provides cosy, one bedroom accommodation and is ideally positioned for wildlife spotting and stargazing. Perfect for a peaceful getaway.

We are 15 minutes from the historic port town of Bideford and 25 minutes from the seaside resort of Bude. North Devon is famous for its long and varied coastline with its wonderful walks and long unspoilt sandy beaches. This is a superb location in any season.

The area is wonderful for walking whatever your level of fitness. You can enjoy fine countryside and fabulous views right from our doorstep, follow the coastal path or just stroll along the variety of nearby beaches. There are also many historic houses and gardens nearby including RHS Rosemoor. Or try something a little different, such as sea fishing for mackerel, surfing or horse riding.

Raleigh Lodge is perfect for those who wish for a peaceful, relaxing, hideaway.

Inside, the lodge is furnished to the same standard as Raleigh Barn - a standard that has proved very popular with guests over the years.
It has a lovely open plan kitchen, lounge/dining area with Freeview flat screen TV and free WiFi.

The kitchen has an electric fan oven, ceramic hob, microwave oven, dishwasher and fridge.

The bedroom has a king-size double bed and an ensuite bathroom. You can just relax in bed staring out to the meadow through the French windows!

All linen and towels are provided.

There is electric heating throughout along with a wood burning stove in the living area. There are no steps inside the barn and there are just two small steps up to the veranda to access the front door. Parking for one car is about 50m away an accessed by a gravel path.

You are welcome to explore the secluded meadows in the grounds of Raleigh including the small woodland and make use of the picnic area.

The 7kw car charger adjacent to Raleigh Barn is available to guests of Raleigh Lodge as well.
For entertainment, guests can expect to find TVs. Kitchens, fireplaces, and balconies are also standard.

Lovely cabin in a peaceful location

Raleigh Lodge is a wooden cabin set in an idyllic, secluded and peaceful wild flower meadow but within easy reach of the beaches, towns and attractions of both North Devon and Cornwall. The furnishings and fittings are of a high standard. We had a lovely personal welcome, from Sally, the owners very friendly Springer Spaniel, a cream tea and Myles also came to say hello and welcome us. The furnishings are comfortable with a lovely en-suite, walk in shower. There are double french doors in both the lounge area and bedroom which were opened to enjoy the view and peaceful sound of the surroundings. Overall, it has all the comforts of home and we felt totally relaxed and at ease during our stay. We recommend it

Perfect wooden cabin

Very cosy, comfy, clean and still smelling by new wood. Excellent. I loved the bathroom especially. Fully equipped, simply superb secluded cabin. I can imagine just adding maybe outside wooden hot tub here, nothing else.

Lovely holiday

The Raleigh Lodge is a cosy little house surrounded by English countryside. We liked the tranquility, seclusion and rural environment very much. The house is lovely furnished and has everything you need for two people. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a cozy fireplace. We were warmly welcomed by the landlords and received with real scones :) We could always turn to Myles and Sarah for questions. The dog Sally and some chicken also visited us. It was an all-around beautiful holiday!
