After travelling for 9 days or so, my sister and I were looking forward to some R&R for 3 days and we weren't dissappointed. The room was FAB! We had a twin with huge beds. The balcony overlooked the river. We used the pool for two days and that was lovely. We checked out the private beach area but it didn't look inviting so we didn't bother. The souvenir shop was well priced as well for clothing and we managed to secure a discount! Breakfast was nice, nothing spectacular. We had lunch at the hotel on two days and they were nice as were the cocktails. We dined at some local restaurants which were fab, and I would recommend the 2nd riverside restaurant one in from the bridge (Footstep restaurant). The hotel gave us a map of the area, but unfortunately didn't explain it correctly we think or things got lost in translation! However, we managed to make our way to the Night Market (beautiful Lanterns at only $4 USD or so each) and Ancient City ok. Taxi ride from the hotel to the night market was between 90 and 100 Riel. Ideal location. 2 minutes walk to the general beach which is nice with palm trees. Good choice of eateries and general shops. The hotel does have a spa but we chose to have a foot massage at the first massage shop to the left of the hotel as you walked out due to the friendly nature of the proprietor who waved everytime she was us as though we were long lost friends. Loved this hotel and the surround area and it was just what we needed at the time. I would stay there again.
Well, first time ever in all of the world wide holidays, many of the staff became friends with us, but one of them gave us an experience we will not forget and our nomination goes to the young lady, DOAN THI THU THAO, a waitress, went out her way, bought us a leaving present for me, my wife and daughter. We will treasure her gifts. Thank you for looking after us, well recommend stay in this hotel.
We found that the price of food and drink were unnecessarily overpriced for the standard in comparison to what you can get elsewhere. Tours and airport transfers were offered to us at a much more expensive rate than what we found elsewhere. For example we found a tour downtown with a different company for over 300000 dong less per person. Staff were very friendly and helpful from the beginning however when we did not book with them it resulted in a change in attitude from the staff which I was very disappointed about.
I agree with previous reviewers that the Resort is in a great location. Staff are helpful, the pool is nice (get there early if you want a lounge by the pool), and the beach is 2 minutes walk. The in-house breakfast is great with omelette cooked to order. In between time the club sandwich is good, but the main meals in the evening are not so good. Eat elsewhere until management improve the quality. We had Room 315 with great views of the river, but the plumbing was not ideal. The basin water was cold and didn’t drain properly. The shower was hot but poor water pressure. Overall though the room was comfortable and the air conditioner effective. Thumbs up below if my review helps.
"Well..." I said to my husband shortly after we checked in "it's not perfect, but it will do." We booked the family suite for us and our 2 kids, and when we got to the room the smell was overwhelming. It was a weird, wet, citrus-y smell. In the bathroom the smell became much more mouldy/mildew-y, so we figured they were trying to drown out the mildew smell with cleaning or air freshening products, however it was all too awful to bear. We contacted the staff who clearly were aware of the problem, as we were moved with no questions asked to 2 new rooms side by side. These rooms were relatively comfortable, and while slightly dated, at least they didn't smell. The hall way flooring was terrible - like something you'd expect in a high school locker room, and the walls and fixtures and fittings were all dirty/flawed/full of holes. The balconies of our two rooms were enormous....it;s such a shame there was zero furniture, ratty linoleum flooring, and planters full of dead plants and dirt all around. The pool was nice, and the location right by the river is lovely. The spa was reasonably priced as well, although my daughter and I had a massage there in which we had to spend 60 minutes listening to our masseuses chatter and whisper and hiss and giggle without pausing to take a breath. As other posters have mentioned, this place has SO MUCH PROMISE. With a bit of money spent, and a little attention to detail, it could be amazing, and they could charge a lot more than they do - and I would happily spend it! In it's current condition however, I wouldn't visit again.
The location for this hotel i perfekt. The view to the river is fantastic, and you can walk to the beach in 2 min. There are plenty og restaurants, spas and shops just outside the hotel. Some of the bigger resorts in the area are placed quite remote in compare. At the same time it is nice to get out of Hoi An center. The staff is very nice. It was my daughters birthday during our stay, and the hotel arranged a surprise cake in the room. On the downside the hotel is quite run down. We had to change room because our toilet was leaking. In the next room the bathtub was leaking. But the view to the river, the staff and the location made up for this. I also tried the new hotel spa. It was a very god massage. But I hope hotelmanagement gives the spa a new carpet.
Warm customer service, lovely rooms, convenient location and very competitive price. I definitely will be back next year for holiday. Timothy was the most wonderful person I have met, very helpful person.
Had 6 nights with grandchildren in 'family' suite which was 2 interconnecting room. This worked out fine Kids loved pool area and access to the beach about 100m up the street. Hotel has access to private area at a bar and restaurant about 400m away. Remember to ask for towel when leaving hotel. Breakfast was fine. Hotel restaurant lacking in food and atmosphere for dinner compared to what one finds out on Cua Dai street outside Last 3 nights the parents arrived and we moved into an exec double. Lots of room, separate sitting room. Giant bath in main bathroom with hand shower; needs shower screen.
stayed here for 3 nights in March with my wife--rooms were very spacious with excellent air con--hotel does appear to be fairly old though and could do with a good paint job. Staff were always very friendly and helpful--pool area is ok but again could do with modernisation, The beach is just over the road which was ok--but we found out best beach was 5 minutes away in taxi--very cheap about £3--called An Bang beach-this was fabulous and well worth the taxi fare--make sure you go in to the old town at night as this is a lovely quaint place with lots of nice restaurants and shops.
We booked as part of a holiday package with 4* hotels. This is at best a 3*. The staff were lovely and the room adequate but not as clean or nice as the other hotels in other parts of Vietnam. Breakfast was again adequate but nothing stood out as exceptional.
