Nestled in the charming Brexbach valley, this jewel is well worth the effort involved to get there. Patient, well planned development has seen the hotel retain very high standards of staff training and service. Priority is always accorded to the guest, and any meaningful request is attended to promptly. A different type of pillow, an extra sheet, special dietary requirements are easily accommodated. Z Restaurant is the nerve centre of the establishment. Buffet meals prepared to high standards, with an emphasis on seasonal fare, cater to a wide array of tastes. Healthy appetites from forest walk, mountain biking, swimming, table tennis training session, or gym workout can be appeased with repeat servings if necessary. Chilling out in the whirlpool is recommended at any time. Failing that, try tenpin bowling, darts or just a quiet beer. Even the silence deep in a forest glade is rewarding!
This hotel caters to many different type of visitors, and does so quite nicely. We came to visit family and friends during our recent trip to Germany. We were greeted at the reception by friendly and courteous staff. This attitude carried throughout. The room keys still are real keys, but use a magnetic card to run the power in the room. Our room was normal sized by european, smaller by american standards. But it easily overcame that by showing an attention to detail not seen in many larger and presumably "premium" hotels. The safe was more than spacious for our 2 laptops. The bed was a king and the mattress was firm and comfy. The bathroom had very nice and stylish sink (flat, but nor, so the water easily drains). The products were not just a spa sales pitch. And it was so quiet. Eating options are plentiful. A fine sit down restaurant (just take a look a the massive meat slicer on display for the carpaccio. Probably the price of a small car). Buffet style is also an option. An on site Pizzeria has a true Naples style oven from naples and the thin crust really brings out the flavors of the toppings. Also on site a craft brewery. During the day time you can either work in their many fully equipped conference rooms, if you are there for business, or you partake in many sports like mountain biking, hiking, gym, bowling (on site) or Table Tennis (for which it is an olympic training center) in order to build up an appetite for the good food waiting. With its close proximity to the Autobahn this hotel complex in the serene valley of the Brexbach is definitely worth a trip.
Got a busy dinner. Nice place nearby motorway. Buffet or a la card. Both options good choices. Not to much choice and very much tasty. Friendly and open service. Quite atmosphere. Like to visit again. Thank you.
If you want to find some tasty food you should visit this place. Even late evening the staff was very friendly and attentive to guests. Even if your visit was not prebooked your order will be rejected. :) Thank you!
Location is excellent: in a beautiful, green valley just 10 minutes from the main highway. Room is spacious and clean, but nothing special. WiFi is very weak and stopped working after 2 hours: did not come back in the morning either. I needed it for work that’s why I need to make the remark. The most unpleasant surprise is definitely the service: nobody was greeting me at the breakfast or asked me if I would order anything, etc. There was no coffee vending machine in the buffet so I asked the waitress where can I get coffee then she brought it.. It was actually prepared for the waiters on a service table and their job was to get the room number and take the coffee/tea orders. No one did it although only 3 tables were occupied (I was late at breakfast around 10 am but still). Buffet breakfast is delicious and has a good Sortiment to choose from. I would have preferred a friendlier service and some hospitality. Unlikely that I ever return.
Zugbrucke is a modern and cozy hotel in the middle of a small village, in the mountain, so it is a peaceful place where you can relax, have special food and drink a great wine. I love to go there! And I definitely recommend them.
The location is great: in a small village, very close to the highway but very quiet. The nature around the hotel is beautiful. The hotel facilities are great too. There is a nice little gym (however quite busy with classes for groups that probably do not stay at the hotel), a nice swimming pool (same comment here as it is often busy with classes), a sauna etc. There are also nice little tracks around to go for a run in the forest. I found the restaurant nice too, although the food was not great. The rooms are not as nice as the rest. Like in many German hotels, they look old and could need some refurbishment. Also I always got two single beds, which I also think is a traditional German thing: why? Overall, a mixed feeling for a business stay.
Situated at a hilly location with a river running through it - a quiet and peaceful place to stay to recharge the body. Staff were friendly and this hotel has all the necessary facilities, minus the crowd and noises.
Location: Close to Highway to Koblenz but far away from any noise Reception: open 24 hours Room: round about 18 sqm with balcony Bed: 2 single beds quite smooth but still comfy Bathroom/Shower: about 2 sqm with shower Cleanliness: clean Air Condition/Heating: no A/C heating with real radiators WLAN: free, fast and reliable Parking: free Breakfast included in price. Extremely wide range of all kind of dishes Restaurant: Very good restaurant not so cheap but still worth the price Language: German, English Staff: very friendly and helpful, especially at the restaurant Credit Cards: Western standard cards accepted Sauna: yes Pool: yes Lift: yes Extra benefits: Conclusion: I will come back if I'm in that region
I've stayed on the hotel for 3 nights on a trainning session. The rooms are good with a nice space. The bathroom was good with a nice size. About the restaurant, the food is good, the staff is very friendly, and the breakfast is very good with typical german tastes and also with international cuisine. For me was a very surprise the quality of the hotel. Please be advised that if you want quiet and peaceful this is a very nice choice. The nearby forest is very nice and the pratical walks is a surplus.
