Stayed at Salamanca Terraces for 3 nights and loved it. Breakfast was included across the street at Lenna of Hobart and was delicious. Location is fantastic, literally around the corner from Salamanca Place, so easy walk to the markets on Saturday and lots of stores on other days. Also took the ferry to MONA one day and the wharf was within walking distance as well. Great restaurants available on Salamanca Place, but apartment had a full size fridge and fully functional kitchenette in the apartment if you wanted to cook for yourself. Bed was queen size and comfy, pillows left a little to be desired but didn't stop me from having a great nights sleep. Reverse cycle AC and a TV in both rooms, large bathroom with the shower over the bath. All in one Washer/Dryer available near bathroom, 1 x washing powder provided. Quiet stay even though we were right next to the entry door and carpark. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.

The location is so convenient, just few minutes walk to the waterfront, and the Salamanca Market is next to the apartment building. The apartment is clean, quiet and comfortable. WIFI connection is good. The kitchen is well-equipped and clean. Highly recommend!

This was a modern apartment which was very clean on arrival. It was spacious with a kitchenette which was of good size. The bathroom was average size with the usual shampoos soaps etc. TV had both local channels and Foxtel channels. The furnished was modern and during the stay they replaced the chairs for the dining table. The service was first rate. The was also a washing / dryer machine but I did not need to use it. When checking in drive up a short distance to the Lenna across the road up the hill. There was plenty of free parking. The WiFi was fine for Facebook and social media, emails and internet work. It was free although if you needed high speed for gaming etc you could pay a small fee. The apartments were in the heart of Hobarts tourist area. There was also a grocer within easy walking distance to buy food. Overall good value

Last week I stayed at Salamanca Terraces for 5 nights in a studio apartment by myself. I was there for a conference that was held at the casino. I found the location perfect, chiding to walk from my room to the casino and return most days. The walk was a nice stroll in under half an hour. My room had a very comfy King size bed, 2 armchairs, TV, great clothing storage, completely stocked bar fridge, toaster, kettle cutlery, crockery etc. it was everything I needed for a comfy stay & was very convenient to amazing restaurants, bars, convenience store & the waterfront area. There was a problem with my shower head being loose, I notified staff & it was fixed whilst I was out for the day. I had 4 friends stating in a 2 bedroom townhouse that had a full kitchen & plenty of room to move - they were more than happy with their stay as well. I would stay there again, bring my family & enjoy all that Salamanca Terraces & Hobart has to offer. Easy walking distance to the Saturday markets!

We booked a room with 2 beds, 2 bathrooms and it was roomy, comfortable and warm. The location is fabulous and easy stroll to many restaurants in Salamanca & Battery Point and also the pubs on the wharf. Consequently the only cooking facility we used were the tea making and my partner was particularly impressed with fresh milk in the fridge for his tea/coffee (he can't stand long-life milk). Last visit to Hobart we stayed in the main part of town, but this location is way better and highly recommend.

Great location and within walking distance from everything. I traveled with a large group and we were well looked after by staff, some staying further up at the Lenna. I was very happy with my room, spacious and had a kitchenette which I was not expecting. Clean and well equiped. Only negative is the noise from street sweepers and garbage collectors early in the morning. Just be aware that the reception is up the hill at the Lenna which is very close but could be a struggle for elderly.

Firstly, we had a great stay. The building straddles Salamanca and Battery Point so it has a fabulous location. That said, our "penthouse" was disappointing. The views from our balcony were of the back of the concrete silo apartment building opposite us with, at best, glimpses of water from the corner of the balcony, not as shown in the apartment website. We came expecting a "penthouse experience" but reality was a very dated (think cracked tiles, old bathroom, wobbly furniture) top floor of a block with 4 other apartments on the same floor (ours being next to the lift). The apartments are above a bar and restaurants so it is a little noisy. We also had to get housekeeping to come over and change the bed linen when we arrived. Disappointed!

Apartment is is the best location which is its saving grace! Booked for two adults and a three year old only to arrive and have no bed for our daughter and then told we would have to pay extra for a roll out cot bed! Reminder to always check your booking! I don't think that they have ever brought a new mattress it was so worn it had two sunken sides on each side of the mattress which they have tried to get extra out of the mattress by putting a mattress topper over it! Very uncomfortable.Again the location is perfect but you can probably get better value for your money!

Great location, very close to a street of restaurants, the salamanca markets and the wharf. We stayed in a studio room which is described as hotel style - but it is the smallest room I havr ever stayed in worldwide! Very cramped and the bed took up most of the space. This is manageable if you're not spending too much time in the room - hobart has so much to offer that you will most likely use the room only to sleep in anyway. Friendly service at reception across the road at lenna. But i wouldnt chose to stay here again - we paid $220 a night for the smallest room ever. Not really worth it unless you're only paying for the location.

There is nothing modern here. This feels like a 30 + year old room. Ideal for tourists and Salamanca visitors. FYI the reception for these rooms is 50m up the hilly road at another hotel. Bit of an ordeal dragging your bsgs around.
