Great location for anyone planning a trip to Tassie and visiting the Hobart area. Great spot to walk to Salamanca, local restaurants and art galleries. Enjoyed by the whole family. Units are very roomy. Facilities very good including parking out the back.
Located at the top end of Salamanca Place close to everything we were looking for - food, wine & song and the main reason we were in Hobart the Salamanca markets. Check in at the Lena Hotel across the road went smoothly and the staff were extremely friendly. The rooms were large, comfortable, clean with a king size bed. I would definitely recommend to family and friends.
Such a great place to stay and it’s well located. The check in and check out process is easy and the staff are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Parking is on site and included in the price too which is fantastic. We found that the apartment has everything that we needed for our time there.
We have just returned from a four night stay at Salamanca Terraces. Check in at the Lena Hotel across the road went smoothly and the staff were extremely friendly. Easy reserved car parking right outside the door led to a secure entrance to the building and a lift up one floor to our room. The room was comfortable with a queen bed, large wall mounted to, air-con, bar fridge, mini bar, microwave oven, kettle, toaster and even a kitchen sink. The best part of our stay was the location on Salamanca Place within easy walking distance of Constitution Dock, the CBD and many great pubs and restaurants. We were even presented with a nice bottle of red wine for my wife's birthday. I would definitely recommend to family and friends.
Located at the top end of Salamanca Place close by everything you want to be close to. Eating places, entertainment, water. The rooms were quite large, comfortable and clean. You have to check in across the road (and up) before getting to your room. The only down side is that the room was right on the corner and you could hear the outside world very clearly - and I guess they might hear you! Wasn't too bad when I was there but I would suggest that a Friday or Saturday might not be as.
We booked a two bedroom apartment for 2 nights. Lovely big apartments which do have stairs to get to bedrooms on second level but if you have no issues with getting up and down a staircase I would definitely recommend. The reception is just across the road at Leena but did not find this an issue at all. The reception was very friendly and helpful. The markets begin literally outside the front door along with restaurants shopping and the delightful horse and carriage rides. I’d recommend the battery point tour if you love history! I would definitely recommend and I would stay again.
Just passing through, but I wanted to specifically mention that the staff at reception were particularly helpful and friendly. Very much appreciated as a stranger in the city. Also an absolutely fantastic location for restaurants & for checking out Salamanca market on Saturday morning!
We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment, with a roll away bed for a third person in the living area. The apartment is of a very high quality; bedding, towels etc are also good quality. There is dinnerware, glasses etc (the only suggestion I would give is to replace the 70s claret wine glasses with real wine glasses, other than that all was good), even the washing machine worked well. The price is a little high but as is all accommodation in Hobart, it's obviously in high demand. The location is terrific, just at the end of Salamanca place, giving easy access to the markets and restaurants / cafes in the area. 10 minute walk to the CBD and to Constitution dock area. Key pick up from Lena of Hobart hotel across the road was simplistic. We will stay again when we return to Tassie.
I stayed for 1 night at Salamanca Terrace and had a decent stay. The apartments are a bit dated (as mentioned in some other posts) but ok overall. The location is excellent and one can just walk to the waterfront, Taste of Tasmania, etc. One thing to also note is the check-in for the apartment has to be done in the hotel on the opposite side of Salamanca Terrace; so it might involve carrying luggage a bit to first finish the check-in and then walk to the apartment.
We stayed here on a Friday and Saturday night and it was very quiet. We thought it might be "noisy" as it's quite close to shops, restaurants and bars, but we had no problems with noise. The bed was comfortable, the unit was clean. All units (except the studios) have washing machines which is handy. Lifts to upper floors. Main front entry by key only. Car parking is at the back of the building but is not locked. Restaurants and bars within 50 metre walk. We tried several, the Ball and Chain Grill was by far our favourite. Would definitely recommend this accommodation.
