The cottage was very cute but small. It is great for a couple or 3. Convenient to everything and near a lovely walk down the rivulet. The hosts provided some nice touches, good books and games, slippers, well stocked kitchen. The bathroom was very small but a good shower. Handy to have an extra toilet outside and washing machine and dryer. The house needed some maintenance and the steps to the upstairs bigger bedroom isn't suitable for an older person or someone with mobility issues. The host is very prompt in getting back to you and helpful in their response.
Beautifully presented quaint property within easy walking distance of local attractions. Wish we could have stayed longer, Tasmania has so much to offer.
Only Acceptable If You Are Used To Sleeping Next To A Highway. Not Fit For Purpose. We arrived in the afternoon and had to immediately find alternative accommodation. This place is on a main road into the Hobart CBD with heavy traffic just meters from the bedrooms. Both bedrooms face out onto the main road with cars, heavy vehicles streaming down constantly and the decibel level is exceptionally high. The vibration from the traffic actually shook the house. The property is in an exceptionally shabby state and in desperate need of renovation. The parking at the front is a tow away zone with a 1 hour maximum. There is no nearby all day parking. On calling the associated phone number, the woman who answered the phone could barely speak English and was very difficult to understand. She provided no assistance and refused to answer subsequent emails through Stayz.Stayz themselves were absolutely of no use in providing support. We had to resort to going to our bank who put in an official complaint to get a full refund as both Stayz and the property owner refused to answer emails through the Stayz portal. We will never use Stayz again as you cannot have any confidence you are protected as a traveler against property listings that do not display, or describe the property as it actually is and this one was terrible. One of the worst we've ever booked!
