The hotel was really nice and the staff/service were excellent. They're very accommodating to our requests, and family friendly. The breakfast was good and the atmosphere takes you away from the busy city life since it makes you feel secluded and away from the city eventhough you're not.

Beautiful oasis tucked around rice fields.

This is a lovely resort that offers peace and calm after coming from Hanoi. The grounds are lush with an inviting swimming pool. They offer bikes that you can ride around on which was lots of fun. The rooms are well appointed. Be aware you are not really close to amenities but taking a bike or a Grab to go into town to eat is very easy. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. We can recommend staying here!

The place is great. The staff was fantastic, always willing go out of their way to help you. I prefer personal tour guides and the found me a guide. But the location is a little off the beaten path. They provide bicycles for you to go to town with. They are more than happy to call you some transportation. If you want secluded stay. This is your place. I would come back in a heartbeat but I do not mind riding a bicycle. Again. Everything was fantastic less the location.

We loved our stay here! Staff was very friendly and the property is gorgeous. There’s a path to get to Tam Coc and they offer free use of their bikes which was fun and convenient. Would definitely recommend staying here!

A very comfortable stay at Coco Island Villas. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the use of the hotel bicycles to get around. Would definitely stay here again!

Everything is okay as long as you agree with them

Let me start by saying that the property is well capped and the cleaning team are amazing in terms of cleaning the rooms and the grounds. They have a bit of a design flaw in as much as the rooms have big baths but small hot water tanks so it is impossible to have a bath in anything other than Coldish water The hotel is a bit far from anywhere so the only option you really have is to eat at the hotel which is okay but a little monotonous after a few nights. We hired a few cars from them for half a day or a full day to explore the local attractions on our terms They arranged this and the service was okay but the driver clearly had not been briefed and for example on Monday decided to change the sequence for no logical reason which luckily enough we spotted 20 minutes in and corrected him. The bigger issue is that they applied charges to our bill which we were not aware of and when we queried them, they were not sure what it was and only then did they make some calls and then they had the audacity to tell us that it was nothing to do with them it was the driver despite us paying them for the driver and I’m taking a cut. A smile a lot when things are going well but when things are not and they get caught trying to run a scam they become very emotional. I will bill was four pages long as they itemise everything you have write down to an individual drink which is not a problem but what it means is it is easy to lose charges in there that you may not have accepted for example the e

Wonderful property. Beautiful grounds. Beautiful room. Fabulous staff. A bit isolated, however. You’ll need to drive, or be driven, about 15 minutes into town if you want to walk around for shopping, food or drinks. Just head toward the Bich Dong Pagoda and you’ll find the town.

Lovely hotel! Set on a little island. Staff was super nice and food was good. Location is a tad odd, but if you're coming in at night you can't miss it as the name of the hotel is in huge lights across the little bridge that gets you there. I quite liked the bridge (others commented negatively about it). View from our room was gorgeous overlooking a rural field with water buffalo, papaya trees, etc... Only stayed for 2 nights, but definitely enjoyed it. Staff was super helpful booking us tours and private driver back to Hanoi. It is not in downtown (old town) Ninh Binh - which suited us fine. Only a 8-10 minute taxi/Grab ride to Old Town - which is beautiful!

Average Stay

This was an average hotel and we made it work for our visit in Hanoi. We were let off on the side of a 4 lane road to walk across a bridge with luggage to get to the hotel. This was even with using the car service. The phone was disconnected and did not work and the hot water initially did not work. However, they were able to fix the water the next day but we did not have any phone service to the front desk or anywhere else throughout our stay. The food was average and expensive compared to the family restaurants. The scooter did not have any gas or rear light when they rented it to us. We paid for a seven passenger luxury car to take us to the airport and was provided a small suv for 4 adults and the ride was very uncomfortable. The design of the bathroom has the shower between the tub and toilet so every time you showered the toilet and entire floor was wet with soap and water. The fan was on an interment timed speed which went slow and fast in intervals. Overall I would say this was an average stay for the area. The staff were friendly.

The property is really nice, the pool is lovely and the rooms are great, a bit out of the way but they have bikes that you can use and it takes 15 minutes to get to tam coc. However the staff weren’t as attentive as you would expect we ask for help sorting our transfer to the hotel and they didn’t reply, we had some massages and they were not good, there was a moth in the room which is normal as you are in the jungle but they didn’t help us to get it out. Also the tv controller was not in our room when we ask they said tomorrow. Overall is a good place but the lack in detail let us down.
