Upon arriving we were not able able to check-in as me and my Vietnamese girlfriend were not allowed to share 1 room. We were not informed about this when we made the booking and after some discussions and waiting for almost 10 minutes I was given some paper to sign that I would take responsibility for having my girlfriend stay with me "as a guest". Each time we entered the hotel we got similar situations and we had to convince them we are a couple. Made me feel like a sex tourist and my girlfriend like a prostitute... Bed was missing a top matrass and the shower couldn't cope with the water which in turn went through the bathroom each time.
The hotel close to airport. We stayed here again 4 years ago. The room not as clean as the previous time. We were in a Club deluxe room but could not use the special lounge for the club deluxe rooms. Were told renovating. They should have at least offer us drinks at the bar on ground floor. Breakfast were very good and plenty of different dishes. Staff very friendly. Used the swimming pool and it was great. Not much shade at the pool.
Inconvenient location for tourists or families. Very dated and poorly maintained facilities. Although very clean bathroom and bedding. Smelly carpet along the corridors. Room curtains very old, dirty and even torn. Disappointed with the hotel. Not recommended at all.
Convenient to the airport - without the high price......... complementary airport pick up - important especially when landing at the domestic terminal! Rooms are good size and staff is friendly and attentive.
Hotel is quite average. Room fittings dated. Shower fittings were broken and only enough hot water for one shower. Complained and eventually had maintenance come. To look at the issue. Turns out there is a timer on the hot water and only get 15 mins!!! There is nothing close by, you have to catch a taxi to down down Saigon for food and attractions. On the plus side breakfast was good had a large selection both Asian and western.
As all Vietnamese staff are kind, everything else is average. Hotel is on big street and all the day and night you can see and hear cars and motocycles. Near hotel workers made big building and noise stared from eaarly morning. Take something in district one, for same money you will take more. Taxi is very cheap...
I spend a short stay on vissai hotel, clean, confortable, I appreciate the pillow selection, directly on the bed!! The staff are friendly and always available, only one think, the position is not so close to the city centre..
Stayed for two nights and my conclusion is, Vissai Saigon is a good 4-star hotel. Breakfast is decent and my dinner at the Mezzanine restaurant was good. Nice, well-appointed room with Toto fixtures in the bathroom (the shower head needs cleaning though). Wifi is a bit patchy and certainly can be improved. This hotel is nearer to the airport than to the city and for that those who are on a tour of HCMC might find the hotel a bit far from town.
Very handy to airport but only US $5 to get to the city. Lovely room, clean. Hotel facilities were excellent. Staff friendly and helpful .Nice breakfast - very extensive. Would highly recommend this hotel.
The location of the hotel is near to the airport. Breakfast spread does not have many choices. The rooms sound insulation can be improve. Generally the rooms are spacious and clean. The staffs are friendly and can converse well in english. To get to the city by taxi will takes about half an hour depending on the traffic.
