Fantastic hotel and staff were amazing definitely would stay again great location easy to get around, we are coming back next year to stay again would recommend this hotel to anyone, great for singles and families
Room: 305 Stay: 3 days 3 nights (i booked an extra night as i had a 1am flight and the hotel was cheap enough) Place was nice and clean no complaints. Located in the "quiet" area of district 3 only a 20min walk to Ben Thanh markets and 40min drive to the airport.
Had a very bad experience at this hotel because of two reasons. We ordered a trip through the reception & on our way back the bus left us back in the Cu Chi Tunnels. We had to get back on our own back to the hotel. Terrible smoke smell inside the room from other guests smoking cigarettes inside the room.
It was almost a perfect stay here recently from the room- modern, wooden furniture, clean, international tv channels, the breakfast- buffet with large spread compare to la carte breakfast that most hotels here served, the location- 5 minutes walk to Ben Thanh market, the friendly and helpful staff. We paid a bit extra to stay in a deluxe city room with big window rather than the standard room with no window. But our stay was marred street noise throughout the night, even load music at 2am. We barely of any sleep. We have traveling extensively in Vietnam and already get use to the street noise but this is something. I know this is not the fault of the hotel but it is better to request for a quiet room.
I was at Thien Thao for a couple nights over the weekend with no major red flags. The hotel is situated in a great location of the CBD where theres many restaurants and a small shopping mart for your essentials. Only thing i dislike was the toothpaste (which is common in affordable hotels) , which led me to go to the shopping mart (walking distance) to buy my own. The breakfast covered the basics well, however i hesitated to eat the soup and noodles because the noodles were set in the bowls ready made and were left sitting on the bench. Overall i enjoyed it
Can't fault this hotel at all. We stayed for 4 nights. They picked us up in private car from the airport for $17US each was so easy. They booked our day trips everything was easy. Great buffet breakfast a mix of Asian and English cuisine. Room was clean and bottled water provided each day. No issue with security. Wallpaper and decor a little dated but that's only criticism. The location is ok it's quieter than staying in disctrict 1 but easy enough to taxi at night. Overall we thought Thien Thao was a fantastic hotel for a small budget of $38NZD per night. Highly recommended.
I've stayed at MANY MANY hotels in Saigon before, and for anything less than $25 USD, it's dank, dark, and damp. Thien Thao was the first really clean and reasonably priced hotel I've encountered. The sheets were clean and fresh, everything was clean, and the bathroom was new and again, CLEAN. PLUS, everyone there was really friendly. Smiles all around. They could've charged more, but our room was only $22 USD. Loved my stay, I'll definitely stay again! The only thing was our room didn't face the outside, so at 9am, it was still quite dark. Other than that, I really recommend this hotel for a short trip (or transit trip) to Saigon!
We stayed at the during Dec 8 to 13, 2016. X' Mas celebrations started to pick up. Hotel is walking distance to shops, Restaurants and street food stalls. We had our 'VIP' room on the sixth floor, reduced the level of outside noise. Spacious room with a comfortable bed and clean linen. Breakfast was continental / Vietnam cuisine. Very attentive staff had all the information we wanted. Manager was courteous who by himself picked us up from airport. WiFi requires improvement.
Nice hotel situated in district 3, a popular area where few tourists venture full of amazing small lanes linking the larger streets and avenues. It's walkable distance to the centre. Staff were efficient and the owner turned up for Xmas eve and invited all the hotel guests for a very nice festive buffet celebration for Xmas but also the 8th anniversary of the Hotel.
Hotel is well located in district 3, far enough from the noise but close enough to the Centre to walk everywhere. 15 minutes from the backpacker district, war museum, 20 minutes from Ben Thanh markets. Impressively quiet. I wake up regularly and was amazed at how quiet it was as my room overlooked the street. Lots of good restaurants in the area to choose from.
