This small cabin sits on the south-facing slope of a 9 mål plot, overlooking the fjord. From mid-May through the end of June, 180 rhododendrons bloom—a sight that makes the plot truly unique. Here you'll also find an apple orchard, a fenced-in vegetable garden, a conservatory and a small sauna house.
They rebuilt the cabin in 1998 after a fire, and it features a charming style with rough stone walls and wood panelling. The kitchen and living area are on the main floor, and there's a loft and a bathroom on the lower level. It's small in size, but it's got plenty of space for everything you need.
Right outside the cabin, there's a cosy dining area with a pizza oven—a natural gathering spot when you're eating outdoors. By the lake, there's a private boathouse and jetty. The fjord's about 400–500 metres away.
There's a nice walking trail right outside the property, and the area offers mountain walks of varying difficulty levels. Disc golf and outdoor fitness equipment are both about 300 metres away. The Smaken av Ryfylke hotel in Hjelmeland, known for its excellent food, is about 7 km from the cabin, and Viga-tunet offers a variety of heirloom apple varieties.
