our stay in Hitzacker

The hotel was lovely. Friendly staff who spoke English. The restaurant was very good and a great choice for breakfast. Catered for my gluten free needs. A little out of town but that was not a problem to us. Well worth a visit.

Grotty old hotel with nice restaurant & location

Hotel with a nice restaurant, but apart from that this was a dump. The bed in our room was in fact a sofa bed, probably from the seventies, worn like a hammock and uncomfortable. The whole hotel is in severe need of some TLC. Most of it does not seem to have been maintained much for decades. Spa was a grotty couple of pools and a sauna (that was Clean and ok).

Das Gesamtpaket ĂŒberzeugt. Der Wellnessbereich ist schön mit Pool, Whirlpool, Solarium, Sauna, Tauchbecken und Dampfbad. Es gibt zwei LadesĂ€ulen fĂŒr E-Kfz., einen Abstellraum fĂŒr FahrrĂ€der und auch sonst ist vieles zu Fuß zu erreichen. Das Zimmer war in Ordnung - in die Ecken und unter das Bett darf man nicht schauen, funktioniert aber alles. Das Essen und der gute Service und die niedlichen Zwerge haben uns schon zum 2. Mal hergelockt. War ein schönes Wochenende zu zweit.

Sehr schöne, ruhige Lage oberhalb des Ortes. Schöner "grĂŒner" Spazierweg durch den Kurgarten in den wunderhĂŒbschen Ort. Hotel Ă€ußerlich ein Zweckbau. Zimmer und Bad renoviert, gemĂŒtlich, angemessene GrĂ¶ĂŸe. Etwas harte Matratzen. SpeiserĂ€ume sehr groß, zwar unterteilt, aber nicht anheimelnd. Empfehlenswert die Außenterrasse. Speisen ok. Beim FrĂŒhstĂŒck könnte schneller nachgelegt werden. Hallenbad und Sauna sind schon etwas Ă€lter, aber schön groß zum Schwimmen. Der Garten ist etwas verwildert, (gefĂ€llt uns sehr so) mit einigen Liegen, ruhig. Besonders erwĂ€hnenswert die Höflichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft des gesamten Teams, man/frau fĂŒhlt sich umsorgt.

Etwas in „die Jahre“ gekommenes Hotel, was sich an der Einrichtung und teilweise „bunten“ Zusammenstellung der Gestaltung ablesen lĂ€sst. Aber freundliches und aufmerksames Personal und sehr sauber! Sehr, sehr ruhige Lage, zu Fuß in die historische Altstadt ca. 10 Minuten.

Die Einrichtung ist von einer unmodernen, lieblosen Zimmerausstattung geprĂ€gt. Die Zimmer wirken insgesamt kalt. Im Zimmer war - auch zur verabredeten Check-In-Zeit - noch ein starker Chlorgeruch wahrzunehmen. Offenkundig werden zudem die Schönheitsreparaturen (Streichen der GelĂ€nder etc) unterlassen. "Einzigartig" ist zudem die Auswahl der Bilder in den Fluren. Über Geschmack lĂ€sst sich aber nicht streiten... Das Personal war hingegen sehr freundlich, unkompliziert und verstĂ€ndnisvoll.
