Can’t believe seeing snow at Hilton Head S C but it did and I must say I was so glad to be staying at the Castlewood Suites they were excellent with keeping up to date on the storm and had everything there to make our stay excellent can not thank the help enough you want a exceptional place to stay stay at Castlewwod Suites
Such friendly, hospitable, welcoming employees. Theresa, Rhonda and the head maintenance man were so welcoming. A very clean, quiet, comfortable room. Had everything we could possibly need for our one night's stay. Only negative was the disinfectant smell entering the lobby area. I believe this was due to constant wiping g of the entryway due to moisture.
On the evening of the snowstorm that hit South Carolina and literally closed I-95 south for endless hours, my twin 13 year old sons and I knew we would have difficulty finding a hotel at the last moment. After spending 15 hours on the road (half of them just sitting on I-95 while it was closed), we longed for a place to relax. All hotels within a 20 mile radius were booked. The gentleman at the front desk of this hotel was kind enough to give us permission to stay in the lobby and out of the cold. Otherwise, we would have had to stay in the car in freezing temps overnight. He brought us the remote for the t.v., and we got comfortable in the chairs, assuming they would be our beds for the night. Threasa, the morning shift gal, came to greet us in her pj's, for she was also aware of our situation. She and the gentleman had been given rooms because of the storm. When she saw us hunkering down in the lobby chairs and quite exhausted, she offered us her room for the night. The gentleman on night shift gave her his room so we could have hers. At first, I was hesitant to accept because I didn't want to put her out of her room, but she insisted. She immediately took us to her room, cleared out all of her belongings, and wished us a good night's sleep. My two boys and I were so grateful to have a warm, soft bed (we all three huddled in the queen bed) and bathroom. We slept like babies and were able to get back on the road the next morning. Threasa was a gift from God that night, and I can't say enough about her warmth, selflessness, and generosity.
My husband, two year old daughter and I checked into this hotel overnight to spend Christmas with family in Hilton Head. I noticed shortly after the room was joined to another room. After an hour or so, the occupant checked in. He was a bit loud (which was ok at first). A few minutes later, the loud talking was accompanied by loud music, which I didn’t want my daughter mimicking later, so I phoned the front desk. Threasa answered very pleasantly. I explained what was going on, and without any hesitation she offered to move my family to another floor in a newly renovated room. She also gave me a $20 credit for being inconvenienced. I told her this was my third time staying at Candlewood and we definitely wouldn’t allow this one experience stop us from returning.
My husband always books my trips for me. I always request Candlewood because of Mrs. Rhonda. The hotel is nice, but she is beyond amazing. It is like staying with family when I check in. She calls me by name. And ALWAYS has a smile for everyone. She is the main reason for the excellent ratings of this place.
These suites are designed for lengthy stays and feature home life amenities. We stayed only one night for a family wedding in Bluffton. Loved having a real refrigerator that made ice, a 2-burner range, a microwave, coffee pot and coffee, a work desk area, a recliner or sofa, (depending on your booking accommodations, a comfortable bed, and ample size room. The pricing was more favorable than other chain hotels and offered all the conveniences of home.) My only complaint is one I have for most frequented hotels is the need to SCRUB the tile floors instead of a quick hit with a spray bottle and mop. Our room was clean, but in need of deep cleaning more once in a while. Staff was friendliest ever.
Wonderful, professional staff, Place was clean, comfortable, we love these hotels Free washer and dryer use Rooms are clean, small kitchen area in rooms is amazing, also full size fridge. Microwave and sink. Comes with dishes, glasses, silverware. Do not have to rely on eating out. Everyone has to experience this place. The surrounding grounds are well maintained and relaxing
We came down for Marine Corp graduation and arrived at our reserved hotel in Hardeeville only to find out that our room was cancelled due to hurricane Irma. Made a phone call and Candlewood Suites Hotel was suggested. We arrived after midnight and when we entered the lobby their was a sign on the desk that said they were assisting a guest and someone would be right back. When ?Jess? came back to the desk she apologized to us. I realized that the storm cause difficulties with reservations so the few minutes we waited were no big deal. She was very nice and checked us in quickly. The next day I went to the front desk and inquired about getting another room for more family members that were coming down to attend Parris Island graduation. When Rhonda found out why we were there she adjusted our rates and gave us a great deal. She Also gave us an information packet with directions and a schedule of events that was helpful to anyone attending Parris Island. Rhonda also asked that I extend her sincere congratulations and thanked him for his service. The rooms were nice, clean and kitchen area was also clean. After a delayed flight and a cancelled reservation from another hotel, it was nice to be greeted by these two friendly staff members at Candelwood Suites.
Most of our baseball team stayed here during the Dixie Youth World Series. Check in was a mess and took a while, but thankfully they found us a room. A lot of our other baseball families had issues with their rooms being dirty (huge stains on their blankets, mattresses, covers, etc.), the hotel explained it away with it being "hard to find good help..." There is no maid service during your stay, so when you need towels, toiletries, etc you have to go to the front desk. There is a free laundry which was awesome when we had to wash uniforms every night. Since this was a situation when we did not know how long we really needed the room we were allowed to let them know by 6 pm and we were not charged for that night. So when our team was beat out at 2 pm we packed up And left the same day around 4 and were not charged for that night.
We were in town to see our Marine graduate and I had made reservations at Quality Inn Town Center Beaufort. Upon arrival the motel was filthy and we refused to stay there. After trying unsuccessfully to find other accommodations in Beaufort we booked online at Candlewood Suites in Bluffton. When I called to confirm our reservation had gone through Rhonda answered the phone and gave me an additional discount for having a Marine. Rhonda continued to be very helpful giving us a handout regarding the graduation at Parris Island and she was also already aware the graduation time had changed. Needless to say she completely relieved me of any stress I was feeling from having to find another place to stay under such short notice.
