Hotel is in need of a makeover, TV had multiple steps that were not listed to operate. It was so loud with the partying neighbors and train that ran right behind the hotel. Breakfast was subpar but location was convenient and staff was very helpful.
I always stay here when I am in town, you can't beat the level of service here. I stayed in June with my grandson (who was only 2 months old) and everyone from housekeeping to the front desk was so accommodating. The only issue I had was that they were repaving the parking lot so you were only able to park on the backside (when I checked in) and most of those spots were taken up by some sort of construction crew (I was thinking the paving crew but there was too many for that) Was not a huge issue just a mild inconvenience with an infant and all of his gear. Still my favorite place to stay when I come to NC.
We were in the area for a funeral of a family member. The desk clerk was more than accommodating for us. The funeral was at 2pm and the clerk made sure we would have a room ready by 11:30 am for us to get ready.
This is my 3rd visit to this particular hotel, and though the name has changed, the good staff has not. Though my room turned out to be one that I did not select, the staff was very apologetic, offered other options, and I was satisfied with the outcome. The room was clean and comfortable, the noise level was fine, and there was easy access to all of the outlets and other amenities. I wasn't bowled over by the breakfast but it was still good. I do wish that Charter or whoever the cable company is would provide a sleep timer for the tv! Not the fault of the hotel. I look forward to staying at this location in the future. When the staff can remember a guest from a previous visit, an entire year back, it means a lot.
I stayed here a week with my family. From New York State, I was visiting family. When walking into our room, a huge cobweb was found by the sprinkler. Our exhaust fan did not work either in the bathroom. The pool is hidden by shrubs. Did not find it till I was eating the complimentary breakfast. Breakfast was your normal things. Rene was working and a lovely gal. Very helpful. Room service is on top of their game. A smaller Indian women who i believe is in charge of room service was delightful and kind to talk to. Would stay again if given the chance.
We were in town for a wedding and the location of the hotel was great. Close to Walmart and other shopping if last minute things are needed. The pool was small and cold, but was enjoyed. They didn't have any umbrellas on the tables, but we were told they were on order. A storm had destroyed the old ones. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Had a really nice breakfast for you in the mornings. Rooms were clean and good size-would have liked a few more drawers to put clothes in, but not a big issue. Had a fridge and microwave in the room. Enjoyed our stay and would stay there again!
My friend and I stayed here Jan 27 for a rabbit show the next day. The room was clean and well maintained. Upon entering the bathroom I found a few tools on the towels that were folded on the rack. Looked around and couldn't see anything wrong. We took the tools to the front desk upon going out for dinner. Well, we found out why the tools were there. The shower head couldn't be adjusted at all and the water came out at an odd angle. It made getting a shower a challenge but was manageable. We told the clerk on checkout.
My daughter and I stayed here on a Friday night because she had a volleyball tournament in Cherryville. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was small but clean and the shower was fantastic. We had the breakfast in the morning which is typical free hotel breakfast. We got there early and everything was ready to go. The wi-fi was great. We watched a movie on a tablet with no problems. We had no issues at all and would stay there again.
Whenever I visit family in NC I always stay at the Comfort Inn and they have never disappointed me. The front desk is always helpful and goes out of their way to accommodate you. I had reserved a smoking room, but upon checking in discovered it had an outside entrance, sorry but traveling alone I just didn't feel it was safe. They were more than happy to move me to an inside room. So I had to go downstairs to smoke no big deal I do it all the time. Breakfast is awesome, more than enough for me. The bed was so comfortable we have been researching where I can get that mattress. Every night it took me about 30 seconds to fall asleep. I must have this mattress lol
Overall this is a good hotel. The staff are very professional but friendly. As another reviewer said the breakfasts were very good. I found Comfort Inns this year and have always been pleased with their consistent quality. The only issues I have with this hotel is that the bathrooms are small. Also, the shower heads are plastic (unusual for the Comfort Inns) and you are supposed to be able to pull the shower head down in some fashion to get it to work. I never managed to do that. So that meant sponge baths and kneeling on the small tile floor to wash my hair ... We figured the property had been purchased by Choice Hotels and renovated. There are very good restaurants in the area (FATZ Cafe, Italiano's and Sweetfire BBQ).
