Lotus Therme Hotel & Spa5.0 out of 5.0

The hotel and facilities are relatively small compared to some of the other Spa resorts I have been to in Hungary but this only added to the charm and level of service. It is in a great location close to Lake Balaton which is fantastic for sightseeing and enjoying on its own. The service in the restaurant and the bar was great. The quality of food and drinks was good. The rooms are fairly basic but clean and spacious. I had several spa treatments while I was there and they were the highlight for me, especial the facial and two massages I enjoyed during my stay. The massage and beauty therapist are well trained and excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing weekend stay.
We had a really great time in this hotel, whole family got relax. Spa and basically the whole wellness in this hotel is awesome, I've never experienced a better one. Great outside pool, which is connected with the inside one, then thermal pools, everything is just great. No matter what spa procedure you choose, you'll be satisfied. Very close to the spa is the bar. There's a huge variety of drinks and lunch meals, like tartar beef steak, duck liver and sandwiches. Bartenders are very nice and always smiling. Dinner in Lotus Therme used to be very average, but since our last visit it has improved very much. Every day, there's something else to choose from buffet style dinner. Big variety of meat, fish, side dishes and very tasty desserts. The only thing, that should be renewed is the wine list. Rooms are very nice and clean, it's not necessary to say more. This is the best wellness hotels I've ever been to and I recommend it. Me and my whole family had a great time here and we're looking forward to the next visit.
The hotel is great if you are looking to relax, have massage and wellness overall. The food is great tand the staff are very friendly. Most of the tenants (at the time) were over 65 so if you are looking to socialize with young people/couples, it will not happen. Wifi was terrible and basically you could only use it if you were at the lobby (very disappointing) Would recommend if you are looking for a great facility to relax and will not be needing internet for work or pleasure.
It is our 4th time in Lotus and we are amazed by this hotel :) there are the best breakfasts in the world, great staff, wonderful spa and cool service. They even have improved the desserts this year :) we prefer staying at the upper floors of the hotel - then you get wonderful view while moving up and down in the glass elevator. Thank you for great holidays!
Pros: food (dinner and breakfast was really awesome), really nice stuff Cons: the room. It was not as good as You'd expect in a five star hotel. The furniture was old, in the bathroom there was a nylon curtain between the bath-tub and the bathroom.
My family stayed two nights over a weekend. I would say it's a 4 star rather than 5 star hotel. The room and hotel itself are fairly dated but clean. The pool and spa facilities are very good and quiet, not crowded. The buffet breakfast and dinner I think didn't have enough fresh fruit.
Stayed 29th August for 2 nights My partner and I wanted a break away for a few days to chill out, (we live in Budapest and this is an hour and half drive) and chose this accommodation due to the 5 stars and facilities showing available. I have some mixed feelings regarding this hotel... i will try and explain below. Room - Always upgrade to at least the pool view rooms, the standard view rooms overlook the front of the hotel where countless cars park all day picking up and dropping off people... its about £5-8 a night upgrade - Money very well spent. The aircon in our first room didn't work properly... Reception confirmed it was a fault and moved us. Again this room (next door to the original room) had the same issue with the aircon on the second night... The Facilities are really very good and the spa, pool areas are very clean. The food selections (half board) for breakfast was great and catered for all tastes. The evening meals are mass produced, however are (mostly)of a good or very good standard. The desserts were certainly not to our tastes on both nights though. This hotel i believe must market itself to the older generation of Germany. 95% of guests were German (most of which were 65+), with maybe 2 couples that were Hungarian, and 2 British (us included)..... There were maybe 4/5 sets of couples/family that were 20-45 age range... The daily menus, newsletters and signage was predominantly in German and sometimes didn't even have the Hungarian equivalent... i think this is wrong... we are after all in Hungary. The decor, although is clean and fresh, is aimed at the 'older' market person, but i didn't mind that for just a few days... this is certainly NOT a modern style hotel. I would definitely say this is a 4* hotel, but not quite a 5*. Overall, had a great few relaxing days and we will be back.
Spent 4 nights here with family. Very good food and service at all times. The pools and spa services were nice and relaxing. Very clean rooms and comfortable beds. Close walk to lake. Could not have asked for anything better!! Would highly recommend Lotus Therme!
This is a very clean, comfortable half board hotel with great swimming facilities. The food was good but institutional as is most hotels with board. The walk to the main town spa is easy and pleasant. Parking was easy. It deserves its four star rating and is a good place to relax.
We've spent a few days at the end of March in Heviz, this time in Hotel Lotus Therme and enjoyed every minute! The hotel is within easy walking distance to the lake, very nice location. Our room was spacious, well appointed and QUIET! Bathroom was comfortable, kept very clean at all times. Plenty of fresh towels. SPA area is very nice, definitely a place where you can recharge your batteries :)Treat yourself to a facial and try the different massages, WOW... The mud pack was fab. We've booked half board. Breakfast was excellent, perfect, made to order omelettes and everything else, you can wish for. And no queues. Although there is not much to do in Heviz, besides the daily visits to the lake, you can explore the neighboring villages and spend some time in Nagyrada, where the Cezar Winery is located. It's about 15 minutes drive from the hotel. We've purchased some quality wine and some canned champagne (!) , my first ever. It was not bad. We had a very good time and will be back.
