Fourwinds Lakeside Inn & Marina
5/5 Excellent
"I got a last-minute ticket the IU Homecoming game and didn't want to have to drive two hours home after a 3:30 game. I told myself that if I could find a room under $100 less than 25 minutes from town, I'd take it. Voila! I love Lake Monroe and the resort was a perfect immersion in fall colors close enough to campus without being loud and surrounded my college kids. Love them! But they're loud, especially after that rollercoaster of a game that went into OT with a win. The ride to campus filled this alum with all the feels. Was really hoping the pool would be open since half of it is covered, but alas, nope. The view of the lake was great, and I walked along the beach before hitting the road. I had the gym to myself at 5:30 a.m. Wish the snack bar had just a little more variety, but every now again a cereal bar and a Lance peanut butter packet will do! Hope to return in the summer and get a swim in."
